If they want to do frequent base raids they should make it so you can fast travel or have automated defences that have a good chance of defending the base
Automated defenses would be great. Also would be cool if you could see them getting into a boat at their base, sail towards you, drop off their attack force, and then high tail it back. Then, you could make and place naval mines, and have an automated turret or something. I still think it'd be sick if you could hire a faction to run security for you for a week, like maybe the mercenary faction. Craft a white flag, and hold it to be able to approach and converse with enemies. Could also be a way to stop a base raid; waive the white flag, and negotiate payment for "protection." Basically pay them to not mess with you for a week.
Once I unlocked the motorboat, I've become something of a gasoline whore, lol! I see a vehicle wreck, and next thing I know, I'm salvaging it, hoping to find gas. I also love that police cars often drop a ton of ammo. I crafted a SCUBA tank and head lamp to go with my fins, dodged the shark patrolling the police station exterior, and made my way into the station. I was not disappointed with the loot. I now have a SWAT ballistic vest (had to repair it), and a bolt action rifle (also needed repairs to use it). I might finally try raiding an enemy base. Something I want to see is the ability to make friends/alliances with other tribes. Have a diplomacy system. Would be cool if you could establish new trade partners, or even hire a tribe to run security at your base. Like the mercenary tribe. I should 100% be able to approach them, and be like, "How much silver will it take for you guys to guard my island for a week?" That would be dope.
Was on the fence but will probably give it a shot. Had gotten into the Blasphemous games lately to get a break from survival but this might've pulled me back in
I would kinda prefer if tools broke and repairing structures weren't free etc. I think these should require resources. The problem lies however how quickly things do break and how much you need to repair them. But since the resources aren't infinite, that becomes an issue.
It really depends on the game. If you want players to focus on unlocking new things and making a fortified base and testing things you may not want them to constantly repair tools.
Not worth the cost. $20. for at most, ten hours of game play. By that point, you'll have killed all enemies, built a base, have the best armor and weapons and have built everything. Very basic character creation, no advancement, no stats, very limited build options, difficult to build a defendable base due to foundation always being on stilts- which can't be armored, melee and distance combat is a joke, AI is sad, boat selection is terrible-and not customizable, This might be a decent game, but it is only at about 25% completion.
In 10 hours u explored the whole world and killed every single enemy AND built a base 😂 full of it. Since your post the game was out 2 months. You see triple A companies releasing worse games than this. $1 per hour and this game definitely has more than 20 hours gameplay from purely exploring and not even clearing any islands
Some of the ideas here are fair, I do think building on foundations is a bit shit, and the character creation it’s lacking, but I have no clue what ur on abt when u say A the combat is bad and B that there’s 10 hours of gameplay. If u genuinely believe that ur playing on the lowest difficulty settings
@@Wavern0Too Anyone who has actually played the game will understand exactly what I mean. The Combat system is total garbage. I don't just "believe" that the game can be beaten in ten hours, I know it because I've done it.On Medium setting.
If you find this world interesting I recommend the Dark Life book series by Kat Falls I think. Haven't read it since middle school so idk how well it aged but the world they made was super interesting
What is in the game is working, that is my main. Next is gathering only or do the game have a history and an END worth seeking. I really do like the game so far, only have 8 hours on it, but love the Raids, only got 2 raids so far, after i did steal a few piles from them. So far at this stage Most pleased spending the 20 euro on it. They have to start a Kickstarter if DLC is made later on, The game open a section we have been bit limited on, Open world without going totally insane. 10 billion planets to discover or 5 million stk armor to create. Way to far out.
What might be cool? Being wet for to long having health consequences. And being out in the sun for too long without protection. You have to wear long sleeves to protect against the sun but if they aren’t dry and you wear wet clothes too long it’ll cause irritation and pain. So you have to actually keep clothes you want to wear on land somewhere safe before you go diving. Edit: and what if there was “fatigue” that caused you to have to eventually return to land to rest. And if fatigue was too high you’ll have more and more trouble returning to the surface after diving?
@@RossBoss-VI I played a ton of 7 days to die on pc with KB&M but posture wise I can kick back in my chair with controller. I have a bad back and the little space I have at my gaming area and the stupid desk doesnt allow me to spread my legs under it. So I am stuck upright. Its a more comfortable gaming experience for me with controller. I need to either bring the desk I have upstairs downstairs or take my gaming set up upstairs to the other desk. I posted a kind of review here nine months back- not a very positive one. Afterwards, I uninstalled the game, as the space it took was a waste. A month or so back, I re-installed the game and played it through (as much as possible, because now it's totally broken). After 8-9 months, game is still at 25-30% completion. A single new biome, a few re worked island/base location, enemy ai changed from dumb to dumber, a wonky weapon part/blueprint system, a couple new build parts. Claim flags were disabled (for repairs?) so defeated bases couldn't be claimed. Still no missions, story, quests, still piss poor snap points, pitiful weapon aiming/targeting, I could go on. Game still isn't worth the price or time. At this rate, it's only going to take another 6-8 years to be a finished game. Worth the wait? Nope.

It is a great game! Especially cos its PVE not PVP. Rust is kinda lame when on the servers some of the clans have so big advances compared to others.
thanks ben shapiro

Guys, should i buy this or Raft, which is better or are they not comparable with each other?
What would your recommendation for the top survival games to play now?
Valheim
yup
Subnautica…100%
Grounded is really fun!
@3:20: "There's going to be ample food and obviously water, because the world is covered in water"
are you serious right now
The enemies don’t drop what they have which is very disappointing

Dude its early access lol
That was 8 months ago, also, as they update, the price will go up. But us who have it won't have to deal with that.

Keep in mind guys this is Alpha, so a lot can change

do you think the game will inprove. as you said, the devs take tips from players.
Hmm looks like stranded deep meets rust. Interesting

Tool durability just wastes time, I don’t mind weapon durability though
Does this game have controller support?
Yes

In my opinion the water is too still. Ocean waves are much more varying in height.
idk what these dudes are on about i actually love this fucking game
can you hunt sea creatures or animals on islands for food like other survival games?
Yes there are creatures under water and on some of the islands.
I really don’t like weapon durability. I get the idea but I really rather not have that at all.
looks so much like stranded deep
Walking around picking up sticks and rocks -- soooo done with that.
This looks a lot like a built out Stranded Deep.
fine, ill buy it
