I relized that the La Dama Negra is very weak at the back, but the mortors have a good sight for you, so if you manage to ram the back it takes a massive chunk of health off.
The ship is really easy to take down if you have a good strategy you can use mine(you need a high level chain shot and chase cannons do not have to be elite)use the chain shot on the ship it will stop the ship for a short while sail to the back in the boat ram it shoot chain shots and do it all over again until the ship is down
I thought all the legendary ships were in pairs. Thats the only one I encountered and defeated. It wasnt easy and I wasnt giving up. It took me a while to figure out how to beat them. If you destroy one first and leave the other with half life. Hes coming for you hard. He gets faster and wont let you go. I defeated one with 2 bars of life remaining on the second one and whooped me. Now that I seen this video. The rest are singles and should be easy. I just defeated them tonight. On xbox one. Lol I repurchased this game a few a days ago and I tried to cheese them using the release the helm at 565 meter exploit and got rekt... Because I had forgotten that exploit was patched like 5 years ago now the ships will never get close enough for you to board them so now they just go in circle around the jackdaw.. all I know was as soon I got back on that helm all hell broke loose and I got swept by hms prince xD. So now here I am watching this video hoping that these tips work for me as well
If you have kenway's fleet, and some good ships, you can secure ALL routes and get alot of money by trading too, i got 10k easy, and that was just when i got the kenway fleet unlocked.
I'm really surprised everyone has such trouble over the twins. They were the 2nd easiest for me. A fool-proof strategy is to both cripple the ships with mortars, etc both down to almost no health. Take one out and before it can ram you, fire a broadside and it sinks. This plan only works if you're at least through to the final tier of ship upgrades and you are good at naval combat.
I swear I've heard people say the El Impoluto is the weakest I always thought she was the strongest. Also she my favourite just putting that out there.
each legendary ship has its own feature like the i battled like 10 times but lost each time had the super damage and amor and the jack daw is a level 20
I beat all of the legendary Ships I beat some not even fully upgraded then I beat the brothers in arms cuz those Brothers are two much best of luck to you and I beat all the Legendary Ships

I'm a little late haha, but thank you. The only upgrade I don't have on my Jackdaw is the final fire barrel storage, and the Twin Ships kept kicking my ass. HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign were a pain in the ass, but this video helped me conquer them. Cheers mate.
El impoluto Spanish and hardest ship in this game jesus am so scared of it because it wants to ram you every time it sees you I mean it is faster than a fighter jet but If you could douch the ram attack which for some reason is impossible to get any from it

The easiest legittemet way is to get to the back of the legendary ship and fire with the chains while you are ramming the back of the ship, nothing that they can do

Sometimes i find a Schooner called the HMS Fearless. It had alot of reasons to have fear.

For anyone having trouble with the dama negra try going to the back of the ship and shoot the back a lot

At first try i fled the battle (i only had advanced equipement)
On second try, i didn't even lose a health segment
No wonder the northwest ship is the hardest.. I randomly found it while sailing and got my ass handed to me

the leader33 Yep, you have to hit her on her back, ram her or hit her with the mortar. You cant do damage with cannons to her hull.

La Dama Negra has armor where she fires her broadsides, any broadside you do is useless.
For the Royal sovereign and the his fearless u can shot the sails so that they don't move after its destroyed and then u can shoot away all of hell

you should be hitting the 2nd ship from the back. its armored on the sides and takes no damage.

I've never beat them, but i'm playing assassin's creed black flag again so i can get ALL upgrades, and take out the ship.
What are those sails?
Golden sails (except not really GOLDEN but whatever). You get them for completing all the marine missions given at a captured Fort.
