Battery Upgrade Kit For Early 430X, 450X, & 550 Husqvarna Automower Models.

- The early versions, 2016 through early 2019, of the 430X, 450X, and 550 Husqvarna Automowers were powered by the 589585701 blue lithium ion batteries. In 2019 Husqvarna introduced a new battery, part number 593247401, that they were using to power their high cut , or "H" models (430XH, 450XH, 550H) of Automowers that debuted in 2019. Husqvarna eventually made the switch to these new plastic box encased lithium ion batteries in the 430X, 450X, and 550 models of Automowers. The serial number break for the batteries was as follows. 430X, 450X, and 550 models of Automowers with a serial number of 1913XXXXX or lower came assembled with the original style blue batteries. 430X, 450X, and 550 models of Automowers with a serial number of 191409786 or higher came equipped with the new black box style batteries. In the summer of 2022 Husqvarna began superseding orders for battery part number 589585701, the original style blue battery, to part number 529606802 which is a kit to update the mower to use the plastic box style battery. The kit comes with one of each of the following: 593247401 battery, 596494701 battery holder, and 591203601battery wiring harness. These are the contents required for updating a early version 430X Automower which uses one battery. But what about the early 450X and 550 Automowers which use 2 of the blue batteries? Well, as of the time of recording this video Husqvarna did not have a kit that included 2 batteries, 2 wiring harnesses, and a battery cradle. BUT, we are offering our own kit for those of you with an early version of 450X or 550 that has the old style batteries. There are still some of the original style blue batteries out there floating around in dealer inventory yet, but as they are used up for repairs these 529606802 kit will take their place as dealers place orders to replenish their inventory.

Expensive upgrade. Better to use OEM Greencells old style bateries from Poland. Works perfect for me.

Is it possible to add another battery to the 430x (nera) and thereby increase the capacity?
No
Hi. I have the "old" style blue Batteri in my 430X. Can I upgrade my mover to have 2 batteries? The system is reporting Batteri 1 and 2. But the battery 2 is off course not active... 😊
Nope. The mower will give an error saying there is a battery problem because the software in the mower is looking for a specific voltage, AH, and current.
Do the new batteries have any performance benefit over the old batteries on a 2018 450x other than just being newer batteries?
Yes, they have a few benefits. The new batteries are better protected because the cells and battery management are inside of the plastic box. The battery management system in the new style batteries is also improved. And something that gets missed with this upgrade is that the cradle for the new style batteries is definitely stronger than the original style. Adding the new style cradle along with the 2 new style batteries in the cradle helps stiffen up the lower chassis of the mower.

So, how do you offer this 2 batteries kit + cradles, if you can’t source it from husqvarna, without buying 2 kit yourself? And at a lower cost?

After less than one year (purchased June 2022 but not sure how long it sat on the shelf beforehand) my 450x already has a battery with a bad cell. Symptom is mower stays in the charging dock and takes days to reach 100% charge (if ever). My dealer says Husq has replacement batteries available but is unable to ship any right now due to “warehouse issues”??
What is the serial number of your mower?
Can you add a second battery to the 430X to get increased capacity? Or does the software limit the capacity anyway?
You can not add a second battery. The software watches the batteries in the Automower that closely now that if you try to replace the 4 AH battery with a 5 AH battery from a 430 or a 450 it will give an error message.
If I fit this new battery kit myself will the mower automatically recognise it as and new battery or do I need a dealer today down something with husqvarna software for it to work properly
It is plug and play. No need to visit a dealer

I personnaly add a blue battery on my 430X to get same batteries as 450X (great upgrade I thought !)
Problem is when I plug the second battery to the motherboard, i get "Faulty mix of batteries" error message.. Any idea how to get rid of this ?
The 430X can only use one battery. The mower's software will not allow the use of the second battery.
And there's no way to tuned the software for upgrade ? @@RoboticMowerServices
Why can’t you add second battery to 430x? The spot is there for it.
