You actually give honest truthful opinions & facts, including negatives. The bigger E-bike reviewers are always positive & vague & barely ever mention the negatives. Also, no other reviewer travels to the USA to test derestricted modes!
Haha thanks I appreciate that. Yeah I hope they keep sending me bikes despite the negatives. I do try to be positive on the whole especially as most of the bikes I test are comparatively cheap at least compared to other ebikes. But it's amazing how often negatives I've found aren't mentioned. Thanks for watching 👍👍
I'm happy with my bike. I've had my Max for about 4 weeks and done 300+ miles. This is my first ebike so I've nothing to compare it to. The torque sensor seems pretty instant to me. My suspension seems okay and much quieter than yours. The battery clonks a bit inside the frame so I've shimmed it and its quiet now. Using the throttle and PAS 3, I get 20ish miles on the bottle and 30ish from the main battery, so same as Maverick247. Top speed is max 24mph PAS 3 and max 20ish with throttle, and that's after changing the freewheel too a 11-28. Personally I've now removed the throttle and just pedal, unlocked it cruises along between 17-22mph nicely, and that suits me fine. Check the bolts, my side stand fell off. Lol.
My side stand came loose too it was hanging on by about one thread of one of the two bolts the other bolt was completely undone but still in the stand that if I had not stopped when I did I would surely have lost it. I too am going to change the freewheel to 11-28 (should have it in the next day or two) To eliminate ghost pedalling after 15mph
@@e-VRC Mine gives an instant kick but I would rather have a cadence sensor as I am disabled and have problems putting in effort what I was saying about the difference between the Air 20 and the MAX torque sensor is both are pretty instant but the max always seems to require effort to keep the bike motor running where as the Air is just as instant starting but acts more like a cadence sensor providing power to the motor with less effort. I have went into the menu on both bikes and set the sensitivity perimeters for the torque sensor to similar settings
@@Maverick247 I hear ya. Torque sensors are great but they should all give the option of ghost pedalling for full power. If a bike has a throttle I'd always prefer it coupled with a cadence sensor. Even if it didn't have one I think I'd take the hill starting hit and still go cadence. But proper cyclists who want to cycle would nearly all choose torque I guess.
@@e-VRC Yes would be great if you could choose before adding to your basket which you prefer I think some Whisper e-bikes allow for that. Engwe is bringing out a new L20 tomorrow with a boost function but replacing the cadence sensor with a torque sensor I may buy the old one while they still have them. @@e-VRC It’s got me out and about after serious illness. Great reviews by the way, I bought the PVY Z20 MAX after watching your reviews so if I have problems down the line I’ll come looking for you!😂
I bought the ADO Air 20S to take on holiday as PVY let me down with their constant pushing back of their delivery dates for the MAX. I have them both now I would get the Air 20S (international version) over the Lisbon it is more or less a copy of it anyway, but the ADO has been out a while and has no kinks and is a fine bike, I love riding it. The MAX has been a bit disappointing its torque sensor is nowhere near as responsive as on the Air so much so I use the throttle a lot. Also what a crazy Idea to only have the throttle working on power level zero only. I hate that. My suspension on the MAX is not as bad as yours pretty good actually but the key position to switch on the bike could not be in a more awkward position. Also there is no way the MAX has a 750W motor unlocked or 80NM either, I have an Engwe E26 70NM and 750W and it blows the MAX away. I am a heavy rider on power lever 3 (have chosen 3 over 5 levels in the settings) I get 20 miles on the Bottle battery only and 30 miles with the frame battery 50 mile total.
@@Maverick247 yeah I dunno if you saw the review of the max, the 80nm definitely isn't true. I'd love to try the Air, ado were the first brand I ever worked with but we haven't since.

Are you sure it’s the forks bottoming out on the City or could it be the battery rattling in the frame some of the time and the forks only bottom out occasionally?
Whilst the forks can bottom out the noise is from the suspension decompressing and returning to full length and sort of hitting the top. However there are other people in the comments who say theirs is much quieter.
