That's a tidy bike John, and folds down to a nicely compact size. I think for vans with a garage, this would make a great choice. I like the sensible use of the flat riser to carry the second battery, that's got to be a useful addition. Cheers John, another well crafted review. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
Thanks for the review John, I keep looking for the right bike for me but am holding out until our new van is ready before picking one. I have been thinking of hiring one for a few days but it’s ridiculously expensive (Sussex Surrey border). So your reviews are really helping me with knowing what to look for when I do buy one 👍
Hari OM Finally, a bike that might actually fit me (4'10")! Very tempting... but am realistic about the fact that I probably wouldn't get the use out of it to warrant the purchase. Still........... YAM xx
Angela don't think do it best decision I ever made.only thing I would say is have a good think how you want to use it.when I got my 1st cold up fat tyres were not a thing, now my biggest bike engage ep2 pro is my fav :) But it's not perfect, there so much choice now but John's videos have a good range :) there's another good channel I'll dig it out :) good luck
It took a couple of goes when I did it. Turn it off, press the left brake lever whilst powering it on, keep the brake lever pressed for 10 seconds and then let go. Power it off and then when you power it back on it should be unlocked.
Hey John this looks like what ive been looking for. A compact bike for motorhome with a good range when you want to explore your surroundings. Can you confirm if it can be ridden without additional battery and what sort of range it would have. Also is there much rattle from front suspension. I saw another video where there seemed to be noise from front suspension. Thanks
Front suspension was fine for me. You don't need the top battery on to ride it but the range all depends on how much you pedal, but with only 1 battery the range will about 60% of what it stated in the video specs
Thank you for your video. I've quastion about this model of PVY. I live in Sweden. Base on Sweden weather specially in winter, is it suitable for here? Can I ride this model in winter? What's your opinion?
Hi john just watched your mi_rider review if your placing an order will you be selling the pyv bike if you are id be interested to try it i live local to willow fields .Im currently out in Normandy returning to uk on 17th june .ta
Very good review. Considering the new e-bike / e-moped / e-scooter legislation brought in here in Ireland a fortnight ago, I have a few questions you may be able to answer… Does the throttle still work when the speed is limited to 25km/hour? Can you use the walk assist without having the throttle attached to the handlebar? Can the full 80nm of torque be used when limited to 25km/h and without having the throttle attached to the handlebar?
I don't comment on such factors, every car sold far exceeds the road speed limit, the fact people have decided to limit the power & functionality of ebikes is such a waste of time & money, in my view.
Turn off the bike, press the left brake lever and hold it down, then power the bike on whilst still holding the left brake lever for 10 seconds. That unlocks the speed limit.
Is there a way to unlock the speed AND the throttle so it’s not walking speed?

It’s nice they’re really trying to develop all the different options & styles to make it easier to find a bike that fits your own needs.

I'm seriously thinking of buying an e-bike. A well explained video, thanks John.
I've got a few for sale, including this one

🎉😢@@GadgetJohnwhere do you sell them ?
@@GadgetJohn I'd be interested in the Z20 Max! looking at them but they're all out of stock
So could you tell me please, the 38miles you did on the video was that just on the small battery so you didn’t need to even use the big battery John
Hi John. Mine has arrived and I have unlocked the speed but it still appears limited to 25kmh on the throttle, any idea what I'm doing wrong? Cheerrs
It took a couple of goes when I did it. Turn it off, press the left brake lever whilst powering it on, keep the brake lever pressed for 10 seconds and then let go. Power it off and then when you power it back on it should be unlocked.
Thanks John, that cracked it. Of for a test ride once the rain stops.

Hi John, great review. Can you use the bike with just the battery in the frame if you don't want to have the extra one attached? Thanks again.
Yes, you can just use the in-frame battery but with a reduced range.
@@GadgetJohn Great, I think I'll be ordering two to go in the back of the van.
Thank you for your video.

Can I ride this model in winter?
What's your opinion?
I’d say you’d need more suitable tyres but the bike itself looks like it’d be fine.
Thank you 🙏@@GadgetJohn
You can consider PVY Z20 PLUS 1000, which is a 4.0-inch fat tire with 100 Nm of torque, which may better meet your needs.
Thanks for the review. I ordered one and am now waiting.
Hope you enjoy it!
I ordered mine in March and still waiting…. John how did you get yours so quick?
Mines arriving Tuesday by DPD.
Update. It arrived. Super easy to unlock too.
@@Phallenuk can I ask you how did you unlock it??
Thank you
Great Review John
Be safe
Great review , is the 80Nm only available if unlocked ?
I'd guess that's the maximum, so likely only if unlocked.
@@GadgetJohn 👍

How to unlock PVY Z20 Max speed limit?
Turn off the bike, press the left brake lever and hold it down, then power the bike on whilst still holding the left brake lever for 10 seconds. That unlocks the speed limit.
@@GadgetJohn 👌Great! It works! Thanks!
