The low wings can’t be used everywhere, only in designated zones for safety reasons , but unlike DRS they are always available, no matter the gap to the other cars
@@kf5058 I‘m not sure anymore, I thought they had said that, so it’s not like they can use through the Monaco tunnel for example. I mean we saw how DRA through there went
The front is from 2000 the rear is from 2009 the middle is from 2022 all mixed together so they will be slower in the corners but faster on the straights. MOM replaces DRS. While wings open like a DRS but they are not called DRS When the wings are closed its called X mode for high downforce in corners. On the straights its called Z mode with wings open. MOM is like Kers which can be used as extra power boost when your behind a car on the straight which does not have be used in straights only. Just Z mode on the straights with wings open. MOM is Manuel override mode.
Question, how do you install the steering wheel extension once its out? And does this apply to all the cars or only a ferrari if i Download the ferrari wheel?
I like the idea of these regs but I’ve heard they r the same speed as current f2 cars they need to make them quicker in the parts of tracks that require downforce
The cars look smaller and more fun to drive which is good, they'll have less mechanical grip and be harder and more on edge to drive which can be great for F1. Overall though i'm still not sold on these cars. The PU is something i hate, and i'd personally like some more downforce and some more drag. I've always liked the concept of the cars being faster in corners than straights, but then again thats hard to do and keep the dirty air low
@@Boosted111 the races are decently exciting now. Notice how in 2021 a slight reduction in the floor gave us one of the best title fights ever? I think some regs like this will make for a much better season than now (2024)
I like it, the smaller the cars, the better. And weighs less too, I want to see close racing with lots of snapping oversteer, fighting against the wheel in every corner. Cars are going to get faster and faster too, more optimized every year.
i'm quite worried about the increased focus on electric part of the engine. The power ratio between ICE and electric engine will increase significantly in favour of the electric power. Also you can only produce and use so much energy during a lap.. Basically, it will be like the new M5. Once there's no electric energy left, beacuse the power distribution between fuel combustion and electric, the single-seater will be slow, just like the new M5 is slower after there is no juice left in the battery.
Rumors are that they will be around 10 secs slower. Hopefully teams find ways to claw back performance and the final final regs get revised to address this.
I'm not against most things about the new cars compared to now but making the floor simpler makes zero sense also passes and trains will be no better than DRS if you can't use the active aero when you are in front
We certainly are going back. But there is not much you can realistically do with an open wheel formula to make cars as fast as in 2020 and make them raceable and viable for tight tracks at the same time. I'm very much hoping that the smaller dimensions make them crazier to drive as they were pre-2017. Lap times should be terrible in 2026, but give them a few years and they'll get good again. Think of Le Mans prototypes, the racing is great and they don't even have to do anything to make overtaking possible. Open wheel cars by nature produce lots of drag and dirty air.
Please put this camera in a higher position so we can see the front wing moving, the Halo obstructs the entire view of the front of the car, it's really bad, the camera needs to be in a higher position, this is also a camera problem in real F1.

How is this supposed to improve racing if everyone has it? Plus it just sounds like more crashing because of it
@@mimimimek3488 They will use a kind of push to pass from the battery to overtake
@@mimimimek3488 from the "rumors" you have to be behind a car to use it but no designated part of the track or gap to the front car is set

Steering wheel extensions are already in the works, so we’ll have all 10 cars before 2025 ;)

They look dangerous, I like it
No more wheelies on the desk chair! Gg's on the rig Tom
Hahahaha Finally!
big up the new rig mate. gonna be flying on track now
I for one like em, like a mix of older f1, with new tech, and hints of the WEC
Congrats on the new rig. Hope you enjoy it :)
Engine sound reminds me to the 2014's sounds. Awful!
@@RalonsoF1 it definitely won’t be accurate as it’s a very early model and is probably based of the current gen of engines
They look like 2021 cars on the TV onboard and it also reminds me of the 2008 cars with the lower front wing
I think the 2022 style cars with 2026 dimensions would look sick.

congrats on the rig, would be great if you made a video about it

I would say that skip the active aero and make the car even smaller and lighter and then there will be exciting races

Would there be any point to still have the wing flex either way when fold down or not? I still don't like the rear wing design.
the car for me is so wobbly. the rear is non-existent
Car looks awful to drive. I feel like we're going backwards

Congrats on the Rig dude. I honestly don't know how you managed the desk and were consistent

I read somewhere that we won’t get those narrower noses in these regs because of the crash structures fia want😕
cool

Can we keep the old cam angle for the rig?
Love that engine sound, imo!
With all those x-wings and y-wings it looks like we're in star wars
If you can use the XnY wings when ever you like where is the advantage, surely it's only an advantage when you can use it but the car in front can't.
the real vantage will be with MOM (push to pass on ac) not with xwings
