Yes using a Professional Defects inspector is the best. They know what they are looking at and they are thorough. But please remember to book an appointment with the Building Services Centre as soon as you as possible for their inspection to start rectifying the defects. I made a mistake of waiting for my inspection 1st. The earliest date I could get a BSC appoint was 23 days later. They might take 14 working days or longer to rectify. Only after the rectification and inspection can you start your own renovations.
Thanks for sharing~
please make a BTO series so I can learn for my future BTO hahah🥰
I have to admire the thoroughness of these HDB inspections.
Would love sharings about ID red flags before, during and after reno (how to read quotation, what payment schedule/breakdown is considered red flag, what even are considered red flags, what important questions to ask during consultation).
Would also gladly watch weekly reno vlogs, sharing about what should be done first during reno, and what hiccups/regrets pop up along the way!
Thanks for sharing! I will definitely hire a defect inspector too... Leave it to the professional! :)
This was useful!
But boy are newer BTOs riddled with infrastructure issues. The fabrication of units are cheaper and of lower quality, plus they are made with haste.
Great content, i would also consider seeing that they're quite thorough.
Didnt even realise there's such a services available
after the inspection what can HDB do ?? And how will they do it ?
rectify lor
So what happens after finding out the defects? Does hdb help fix them?
After the first inspection. What if hdb contractor just remove the sticker without doing anything? Since there are so many defect. You won’t rmb all
Stand there and watch them fix it 👀
dont think they will fix it on the same day :S

She was so fun to watch.
Is the checking too much overdone considering it will go thru full reno?
Reasonable for a one time cost.
So what are the things that get fixed after identified? Do they reposition the faceplates? Do they remove stains on window frames? Do they rewirie? Do they Redo your pipes?
Great share 🎉❤
roll pineapple is mainly for the Hokkiens right? other dialect groups need to roll?
WAIT please continue about the pineapple roll tip! What degree?? Now I need to know the tips he gave 😂
Very useful tips, !waddle on
Thanks for sharing 🙏
Why do we need another group of guys to check the first guys? We should fine the construction firm with shitty finishing. HDB , BTO should put up the bill if there are any defects and pass the bill to the construction firm …
Hi does this company do for after fully renovation houses ?
take a shot every time he says “la” and you’ll be in a hospital
Time to find ID, contractor, design studio etc.
May I know what’s the cost for Tengah BTO 2 room Flexi with 40 square meters?
what about resale inspections?
Pretty
Minister Lee, anymore 0.11 cents/sqft/month for 23,000 sqm Good Class Bungalow for Singaporeans to rent or not? I am sure many Singaporeans want to rent for 3 X 3 X 3 X 3 years "special" contract, no need re-tender type. In HDB, even the aircon ledge exceeding 1m width is counted as chargeable GFA space. Maybe Singaporeans should tell the HDB the aircon ledge is non "livable space"?
This is not what we got.. Our groupchat neigbours we all know that their reviews are not legit and paid. also they missed alot of defects for one of my neighbours until refund. i got scammed by another new company as well sadly they are not professionals. better off check ourselves or get other companies. dont trust this paid sponsors.
no say price? but say reasonable not expensive?
our groupchat we know that they are not legit, and fake reviews. better off do ourselves or engage others. dont trust this sponsored ads
23,000 sqm only pays 9000sqm of "livable space"? In HDB where common Singaporeans live, even the external AC ledges exceeding 1.0m in width are included as chargeable GFA.
HDB/BTO priced more expensive than Private Free Hold Landed Properties prorated to 99 years and BTW, HDB Revert to Zero Value at the end of the 99 years lease -> $0.00.
Mathematically speaking, buying the land at say 50 cents psf and Selling it at $500 psf to build HDBs for a transitional 99 years leash is multi-folds of financial gains since they can build multiples of 99 years, multi floors and multi units.
Where are the HDB Flats these days? Why is the choice of the word for Public Housing is "BTO".?
Will the BTO be priced at 0.11 cents / sqft / months X 12 X 99 years X 1000 sqft / 100?
