I've got one, it sounds great the Bluetooth works great! I leave it sitting in the back of my truck in all kinds of weather. Dropped it a few times no problems. I still own the old white and black one which fell off the back of my truck and went bouncing down the street and it still works great. I left that one on a couple of job sites and nobody stole it because they didn't know what it was. If it would have been a DeWalt or Milwaukee I'm sure someone would have walked off with it.

Lol yeah that is our Maine coon-ish cat and he’s really good at bombing videos unless I try to video him directly and then he just walked straight into the camera making it impossible to retain focus lol

So the battery will not charge in the radio, and that was probably one of the biggest disappointments I had when reviewing the specifications, how cool would that be right?

although i love my Makita cordless tools, why would the engineers not design this unit to charge the battery? It's in the basic design of most all electronic devices these days... seems the engineers out of touch a bit...
I do agree with you, that would have been the icing on the cake with this unit.
i think if they did bluetooth and dab included in the one model then that would be the best
I believe it’s to do with the patent that Dewalt hold and the cost of the permission to do it under that patent.
@@grembrett I have to agree it's pretty shitty if you can't charge the battery. Can you run it off the DC car socket?
no need for it to charge the battery bozos if your near an outlet just use a charger. the charger charges the batteries way faster anyway

I work in refrigerator and there’s constant noise from huge fans. Is this radio for me? I need it to be loud!
It does get loud but it depends on how loud those fans are. I think it would do good.

Mines isn’t as loud on Bluetooth, but it’s loud on fm/am anyone know why?
Use the aux cord and it’ll be louder.
Also check the sound settings on the device you’re playing from for example with my iPhone, the playback settings for music like the EQ options, for example will greatly change the Bluetooth MP3 playback volume
I unpaired the radio off the phone once and I haven’t been able to pair it again , help anyone please? My phone will go looking for device for day and it is like the radio it’s not there!

Hold the no. 1
Try disconnecting all power to the Radio, take the battery out. Let sit for a few minutes, power it back up. Hope that helps

So it doesnt play MP3.. what a waste of time looking that video.. auxillary input does not mean MP3... Tried to nuy s MP3 player years ago.. the seller watched me like im a caveman.. said they dont sell them anymore... When i asked how the hell people listen to music then.. seller snswered thst they listen on their phone.. so i asked if the phone isnt supposed to be to call someone...
It plays MP3 via Bluetooth, if you’re referring to locally playing an MP3 stored on the device or maybe an SD card slot then that functionality is not there. But that’s what you have the aux cord for if you don’t have a device that supports Bluetooth I hope that helps

Really good question! This radio will not charge Makita batteries unfortunately. I was kind of hoping it would do that as well. Thanks for the comment! Also as an update, we lost power for 5 days recently and this radio came in extremely useful by providing us with useful news/weather updates and some basic entertainment.
