Love this fan. Use it inside my house to circulate the air and also used it when I went camping last week! Great to have inside the tent, no heat at all
Purchase one two day ago and I was blown away with the performance and low noice on low speed, is now a key element on my shop! Totally worth the price! I will probably review it on my channel (maybe)
I got this for work last week. I work in an auto shop. Its awesome. Not super loud, evem on the highest setting, alot of movement. I just leave it plugged in. I just leave it in a corner so i habe some room to walk around and whatnot. I paid more than the 250 but honestly, its worth it.
@@almaburns6562low, in medium it’ll probably last 4 or5 hours. I use it for work in my work cart. Only guy with the fan and the sparkys love it! Everyone on the site was complementing it! I’m happy I have some side work. It’s the only way I can afford this stuff 😂
Question, does it drop speed on all 3 settings on battery power or it drops only on max? Might be because the power supply is pushing 20-21volts and battery sits at 18V after a few minutes of use after full charge.
You know I think ur the man to ask...been subscribed to ur channel forever. I'm a mobile forklift mechanic...I work out of a 2023 promaster...I want this fan however it's so damn big. You think it's worth going through the trouble of storing it vs the old m18 which is much smaller ? I guess I could store it on the passenger seat...lol
If by old M18 fan you mean the 9 or 10 inch model, yes, I think this is worth it. If you need air, this fan will move it. Build a box and store it on the trailer somewhere. Maybe the ceiling? The old one is less then 25 percent of this one IMHO. But it is larger. If you want air movement and can figure it out, do it. You are who this is meant for.
Are those red dividers in the barrel for aiming the air in a straight direction because some of the barrel fans push the air in a open direction. The small m18 fan is like that it blows a ton of air like a perfect straight direction because of its design
@@WorkshopAddictis there a fan that just focuses the air in a straight line or point? I work in a huge warehouse so i dont care for room circulation. I bought a 1600cfm 10in fan from home depot and i could not feel the air at all even at about 15ft away. Seems that fan was best for a room.
Battery Question: There a good number of negative reviews on the 12 amp Milwaukee battery. That's my only concern about this fan. I want the longer run time with the more powerful battery but it doesn't sound reliable. Would you comment on this, please?
12ah and 9ah M18 batteries are total garbage, the 5ah and 6ah batteries are the most powerful, best quality and longest lasting. I've owned about 10 of every amp hour battery Milwaukee makes. Been recycling a lot of them after about 8 years.
I chose the ego is badass the ridgid might b better milwaukee prices r thru the roof I'm on milwaukee platforms and ego and ridgid I have ryobi fan but it week I might get another's ego r try ridgid do a comparison and the ridgid looks nicer even so milwaukee and ridgid made by say company but it cost 199.00 for ridgid fan.
Tough sell when a basic corded fan can be bought for 1/4 the cost. Cordless is nice for short periods in unpowered environments. Not charging the battery while on corded power is a huge miss.
@@WorkshopAddict Be nice if it would switch to battery power if running when the power goes out or cord is pulled. Cords get kicked all the time on the job.
Too bad you can't get it!! Out of stock everywhere, there's a few places scalping them for 2X's the price. Milwaukee's problem is their switches and they don't offer tool repair anymore. Thrown away many newer m18 tools because they shut off randomly, even with a good battery in it.
Milwaukee is exausting the m18 battery platform and are depending on the 12ah and high current forge way too heavily. Makita did the dual battery 36v forever ago, and then made the new one battery xgt platform, dewalt made flexvolt, and metabo hpt has multivolt. Flex is 24v so out the gate they have 20% more voltage to play with. Even tti's own ryobi went 36v on their big stuff. If milwaukee is going to stick to m18 they need to make a lot more dual battery tools, thats how makita got away with it for so long. Im suprised they didnt manage a dual voltage battery, there must be a hard limiter in the architecture of the m18 that prevents it from doing voltage swapping like flexvolt or multivolt

Legit looking at it for camping .

Blown away! It means very powerful fan
If I was in the Milwaukee platform instead of DeWalt & FLEX, I’d say it’s worth $250. It looks like a great fan.
Nice/helpful review.

How strong is it ?
I love mine. Been using it with a 6ah. Relatively quiet and pushes out a whole lot of air.
How long will it run on that battery
Ive used it for about 8 hrs
@@metronyc2855 Was that 8 hours on low speed or medium?

$250.00 seems about right for Milwaukee. The fan is sweet! Plus it’s from big Red. Gotta get one!
I have one and can attest…. Fan is awesome and worth it
What's nice about ego has turbo and misting on it for 279.00 but it's badass in my rv I love it thinking about getting another one
I’d say my neighbour Jeff is the most expensive Milwaukee fan. He owns all their tools but doesn’t even use em 😂
im jeff

Might be because the power supply is pushing 20-21volts and battery sits at 18V after a few minutes of use after full charge.
It drops speed on all settings, but it is easiest to hear on video on high. I believe your idea on the power supply is correct.

Could u test the Ridgid 18" and Ryobi
U could have a "FAN OFF" 😅
Torn between this fan,got Milwaukee batterys. Or new Ryobi 40v fan would need to use my battery inverter.
Great channel and info. Ryobi has a similar one for $170 … and dewalt has some very powerful all electric commercial fans
The Ryobi fan is LOUD. Like, I CaNT HEAR you loud.
@@WorkshopAddict oh damn!!
I have the ryobi fan, and it's loud.
All plastic. And it wobbles when it's on high.
Same as this in high i can't talk if 8 am close
I love this fan!!! I also rigged it with a mister
Very cool, not cheap, that’s Milwaukee. Good motors and fans are not inexpensive. Get what you pay for.
Buy once cry once period!
worth every penny.
How would you compare this fan to the old ryobi 18 inch fan
Milwaukee has more cfm and is much more quiet.
How would this compare to the new ryobi 40v whisper series fan?
You mean the latest 20'' they released with the rugged wheels? That one is about 6,300 CFM on high. The previous 40v 14" aircannon is 2,000 CFM.

I am not sure this is a basic fan. I can see where contractors will pony up the money for this. I too wish it could charge a battery also.

box fan with a top off...nice
If you want brushless, ego has one. Got that sucker for 111 on clearance
Can you feel it outside? About 50ft away?
Considering how much the smaller fans cost, 250 seemed justified. It is annoying stock is low. 200$ would be a more fair price.

I love everything about this but the cost. I will just wait for a used one to pop up on facebook marketplace, I can’t justify $250 on a fan
I agree and the only thing I can say is that I have never seen a fan like this before. It is amazing.
Apparently, you do not live/work in the ever sunshine State of Florida, because if you did, you wouldn’t flinch at the cost. 👍🏾😂
500 bucks in Australia 😢
