Garage wanted $700.00+ to do this. I spent about $125.00 in parts. EXCELLENT video... If I can find a video that is less than 8 minutes long to do something... then I am trying. Perfect! Very thankful!
Nice video bro, you explained a lot of things that other people don't like how to unclip plugs, size of bolts, etc. Anyone wanting to know how to re-plug your Caddie this is the best video for information...
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a true diy lady and your video really helped me. Today I installed a purge valve but did not take the engine cover all the way off because I wasn't sure about that bar that runs across the cover. Now I know that I can remove it fully just by removing those bolts.
Muy excellente, Señor Falcon. I’m 76 and this video gives me confidence I can do this as easily as working on my 1955 Chevy Bel Air 265 c.i. V8 in high school. Ain’t UA-cam grand? Thank you!
I really appreciate the video that you have made so therefore I can actually use it to my advantage long story short I have got a Cadillac they told me it had low compression and it should not even be able to crank or shouldn't crank and I have it cranking and running but not rolling yet thanks for your info on your video it will help a lot on my journey on this car wish me luck and I appreciate all the info
I'm bout to do this today hopefully everything goes accordingly because I am not a mechanic but can fix some shit hell I've done a full pump shouldn't be no harder
That's exactly what I was looking for. I need to do a tune up on my 2006 Cadillac srx. I also need to change or clean the egr valve. Can you point out where it is located?
I have 2009 Cadillac srx v6,did exactly as video and installed all new plugs and cop boots . after install suv ran beautiful, better than before. The next day I went out to start the vehicle it would not start, turned over but no start. I decided to verify if it was any problems defective plugs by replacing it out with putting the old ones back in,still the same no start. Does this make any sense? any ideas?
I wrecked my 2011 STS 3.6 LLT so I went bought a 2008 CTS LY7 beautiful car with a blown engine...I was just gonna swap out the motor and transmission from the STS to the CTS.Will that work?
@@FalconsGarage the reason I asked bc I had 1 of the rear coil packs changed and the mechanic had said once he put everything pack together he had trouble starting the car in other words he claims that he had 2 use one of those expensive scan tools 2 reprogram the throttle body then the car started and stayed running like it should just asking bc I was thinking about doing it myself instead of taking it 2 a shop
i have a 2005 sts the engine light comes on then goes off. the error code i got from auto zone is PO300 and PO036 H02S heater control circuit bank1 sensor 2. Do u have a video for the replacement of the H02S? Is there anything else that could cause this to happen? I dont know why the chk engine light comes on then goes back off.
that sensor should be easy to replace because its very accessible been the 2nd sensor ... but the p0300 code means a random misfire .... have you checked your plugs or intake leaks?
easier way is just to listen for a "hissing" sound under the hood if you don't have special tools. and the oxygen sensor is the second one witch has allot more room to replace it then the first sensor ua-cam.com/video/z87M4dw7nBc/v-deo.html this is a video on how to replace a sensor on another car but its very similar to yours .. this video I was also working on the 2nd sensor.
i recommend that if you get to a gasket then replace it .. so basically if you can see a gasket on your way to replacing what ever original part you are goin for .. replace it

I believe on the back of the head .. not too sure
yeah they dont make it easy, IMO they make it so you have to take it to the dealer to get worked on.
Falcon's Garage For real, my old Volkswagen was a million times easier than this
So true! I'm stuck as I can't get the bolts off of the bar. Good to know it is an 18 MM bolt.
Good Description. Thanks
is it a must that i change the gaskets?
Hey! Awesome video. Super helpful! One question though, are the cylinders counted 1-3-5 on the left from front to back and 2-4-6 on the right side?
yes.

I'm assuming he took off all spark plugs and coils at the same time.

What type of spark plugs do you recommend??
Edit: got the iridium spark plugs from acDelco works great!!
i usually just get the ac delco .. iridium works great
When u unplugged your throttle body did u have 2 reprogram it or it do it on its own
There should be no need to reprogram it

Do they make a supercharger for 3.6
2008 CTS OR A TURBO
ive seen some, but they go for around 10k for the SC kit
Why do the replacement rings never freaking fit!!!
Great video man
What happens if after I changed my plugs my engine surges when I start it? Also I didn’t replace coils
how bad of a surge? because all engines do that
@@FalconsGarage I forgot to plug in a hose . My car doesn’t start the first crank when it’s cold but always the second
Is that solenoid on the very back of the manifold hooked to a wire?
yes
