- In today’s video, I am going to share how I did a simple and budget-friendly makeover to the dresser in my master bedroom AND I will also show you how I updated the exterior of one of my dollhouses in “decorate with me” style! I spent less than $10 in hardware for the dresser makeover and I didn’t spend any money for the dollhouse makeover! I just admire how you do things. This mixture between attention to detail, which frankly makes all the difference, and still being relaxed enough to let your cute little helper pitch in! Wonderful. Your bedroom turned out so beautiful, too.
Oh wow, thank you! It's a balance I am always working on. I used to be a lot more uptight and perfectionistic, but having a kid certainly makes you loosen up and work on flexibility. :)
🤗 My 2-year-old niece helped me paint a bicycle for a wreath for my daughter today. I had forgotten how much confidence painting instills in a tiny person. I love your ideas!!!
Agreed! They try so hard and are super careful when you give them "grown up" tasks! It teaches them so much!

It really does! The whole corner is so much brighter now! And all the sheets and blankets I had on a heap on the floor are gone. :)

I love going back to watch the videos of Selah and I together! It's a balance though because I know a lot of people don't really enjoy watching other people's kids all the time, haha!
The drawer knobs are my favorite place at Hobby Lobby 😀 Love the mismatched knobs! It gives it such a fun feel. The doll house turned out so cute. The window boxes are such a great touch!

@@ourdiyary I bet you could buy some cedar fence posts and build window boxes out of those for less than $10. They are kind of like life size popsicle sticks haha.
Haha yes! The problem with a lot of projects I want to do is that I need to save up to buy tools first! :)
@@ourdiyary I get that. Luckily most stores like home Depot and Lowe's will cut the lumber for you to whatever sizes you need, so you can go home and put it together with screws or nails without needing to use a saw :) we do this all the time.
What a lovely makeover on both the dresser and the doll house. The mismatched knobs and the label slots look just right. Your doll house is so precious!

What a beautiful, calming room now! You did a really great job on your bedroom makeover, at a very low cost. My favorite parts of the dresser are the mix matched knobs and the label card holders. Love the projects!! The bureau is gorgeous! I have an idea that I've used myself on older pieces of furniture. After also painting the inside of the drawers, i also put in some wall paper...i got a huge roll at the Goodwill (i think i paid either a dollar or maybe two) and with the pre-pasted paper, i lay it out in the drawers. It's perfect for those old drawers that may have a couple of splinters here and there, plus its very pretty.

try rolling towels for more space. you also could decoupage tissue paper inside drawers. thanks for sharing!
Great tip Susie! I only have two spare towels and two beach towels. I used to roll towels when I had more! Love the idea to decoupage tissue paper (or napkins!) on the inside of the drawers. Maybe one day I will do a dresser update!
