Yes! A knitting journal, so nice to have notes in all one place. I would have loved to have my grandmother’s notes from all of her projects. This is something that I can pass down to my children and grandchildren.

Ooh! Great idea with the knitting journal. I love journals that lay flat when open, like those with a ring binder. It makes it so much easier to write and draw. And clear pockets for bits of yarn and extra notes, labels, etc. would also be good.

Yes, yes, to carrying journals! I love journals and subscribe to the theory that no one can have too many journals or too much yarn! I started my Vanilla Sweater but had to take a pause to knit two baby sweaters; one for a dear friend who just became a first time grandma! The other for my son’s-in-law niece who is expecting. Now I’m working on a hat for a Christmas present for my granddaughter from the book Knits About Winter. I WILL get back to the sweater. I can’t wait to get my pre orders!
You always give me so many great color and project ideas. Your happy little chicken that you’re knitting; I think that would be so cool as a tea pot cozy. Obviously left unstuffed. That would be so fun with my eggs all in my egg cups for a nice breakfast. 🐓🥚💜💜💜
I had a knitting shop years ago. I also had 15 sheep & spun the wool. It was such a happy time. I love knitting. I would love a knitting journal with your logo.
I'd love a Woolly Thistle knitting journal. A spiral journal is always nice since the pages lay flat, making it easy to write in. I don't think the journal would necessarily have to be knitting-related inside, leaving lots of room for each person's unique customization but having a cute knitting-related cover would be swell. I've been thinking that I should keep a knitting journal with a page for each project, putting bits of the yarn in little plastic baggies, including any unique project notes, and putting a picture of the finished project on the page. This would be a great impetus for me to do it. I used a similar idea for a sewing journal years ago, putting a scrap of the fabrics used on the project page and sketching the finished project (before you could easily print photos at home). It is always a trip down memory lane when I look at that old journal.
I would love a Woolly Thistle journal. It needs a Thistle on the front cover but also sheep somewhere too! I would like pages that are plain, lined and with a grid. And of course, it needs to have a ring binding so it can lay flat. You are so creative, so I am sure it will be fun and great!

Journal...Yes! I always write what I did with a pattern - future referencing (like: what DID I modify, change, etc lol) - I put dates, needles, yarn, measurements... A TWT journal would be wonderful! Knitting themed or lined pages would work for me! I never thought about adding labels - good idea! WIP: Just joined my 2nd skein of Finullgarn 4120 on the Vanilla Sweater! Absolutely LOVE this pattern, LOVE the yarn and color, and really enjoy knitting this while I watch your shop casts! I need, NEED (!) to make that lovely shawl, too! I will be ordering more yarn (more Vanilla Sweaters!!!), yarn for shawls! You are very inspirational ! Knitting blips and/or oopsies don't seem to phase you, which is Great! Love the punk chicken! I think stuffing the woolly chicken with fleece is perfect. I'm more of a sketchbook person rather than a journal type of person. So if the paper is heavy enough it could do double duty.

I love the idea of a knitting journal, a smaller notebook for each project’s notes and musings! Katie Green Bean makes a beautiful little notebook, quite inexpensive. It’s light weight and would fit into a project bag without taking up much room. I first heard about doing this in Patrica Anne’s (p4Chen) Selbu Sock class currently underway. I also love the idea of a larger knitting journal for creative thoughts, ideas and dream knitting 🧶

I think a journal would be great. I have a Habit of keeping the labels from all of my projects. It is something I have had in mind to do. A simple page with yarn samples, labels and pattern info. A bound book or ringed linen cover is what I have looked for. Sorry for my rattling but I get excited with the idea. Oh I think Henrietta looks fabulous. 🐓

Anything pretty can be used as a knitting journal. I was given a moleskin journal with half of it being lined pages and the other half graph paper. It is the best. Your aesthetic is so wonderful anything you choose would be great.

I enjoy a plain page journal, but with a knitting connection. I am now using Kate Davies’ knitting journal. A Woolly Thistle journal would be awesome. And thank you, for the idea of including wool labels. I keep them on a bulletin board for WIPs, then feel a bit sad when I throw them away.
I would love a journal. Pretty. Knitting is ok, but so too is yarn, making, gardening, etc. with your beautiful logo, with room to hold m9mentos. With the year.
I dont use a knitting journal... I usually print out my patterns and tape the labels/samples on it with all my notes... this way if I knit that pattern again I can refer to it all right on the printed pattern and I store them in a box. The sweater KAL is fun, I am knitting up my Weatherman and its so nice to be knitting along in the group and see what everyone else is working on thank you for organizing that! I do love that knitted chicken!!!

I think that a pretty journal would be a great idea - maybe 2 versions - one for writing in only - and one for adding labels and yarn samples.

Anything pretty can be used as a knitting journal. I was given a moleskin journal with half of it being lined pages and the other half graph paper. It is the best. Your aesthetic is so wonderful anything you choose would be great.
I love the Silent Night color way. The song is my Dad's absolute favorite!

A Woolly Thistle knitting journal is a great idea! I use a spiral journal notebook currently but I would like a binder version that is more customizable.
I enjoy a plain page journal, but with a knitting connection. I am now using Kate Davies’ knitting journal. A Woolly Thistle journal would be awesome. And thank you, for the idea of including wool labels. I keep them on a bulletin board for WIPs, then feel a bit sad when I throw them away.

I love the thought of a journal...but I know come Feb. I would have already failed in keeping up.. I know my self.
I would love a journal. Pretty. Knitting is ok, but so too is yarn, making, gardening, etc. with your beautiful logo, with room to hold m9mentos. With the year.
I dont use a knitting journal... I usually print out my patterns and tape the labels/samples on it with all my notes... this way if I knit that pattern again I can refer to it all right on the printed pattern and I store them in a box. The sweater KAL is fun, I am knitting up my Weatherman and its so nice to be knitting along in the group and see what everyone else is working on thank you for organizing that! I do love that knitted chicken!!!
