@@Shalz its ok i was just suffering and needed to say i didnt mean to hurt your feelings cause thats against my race called canadien oh and also the water goes in the tender not the funnel
I'm not in any way a professional on steam locomotives, but I do have a few tips for you Shalz. - One, turn the bogey around. On the locomotive, the pistons were in the back. I don't think that would make the engine any less capable on its own in real life, but the tubing from the boiler, to the cylinders, and back to the funnel would a nightmare, and it can also look weird lol. Looks like some others commented on this already - Two, the tender is responsible for holding both the coal AND the water for the engine. I assume you had the intention of adding water to the boiler directly, but in doing this you had the water going into the funnel. Others have commented on this too. Do yourself a favor and make the water go into the tender, or if you're building a tank engine, add a hatch on the tank to add the water. - Third, for larger trains, maybe you don't necessarily HAVE to physically connect the bogeys on the trains. I've never used the create mod myself, nor any of the extra mods used, but if you let a pilot bogey be detached from the main engine, it might help a lot since the pilot wheels could then turn without making the entire engine look like its derailing this would allow for more freedom with the trains design and allow for even bigger trains. - Fourth, (and possibly the least important), don't forget the little things. the buffers and lamp were pretty cool, but don't forget the other features like a dome, whistle, maybe a campfire for smoke (or add another mod that just adds a funnel which you've reviewed on your channel before) I'm no builder, nor am I a locomotive expert, but I think adding these details could easily step up your next build.
As a person who has studied steam trains for 10 years just for fun, I can confirm that your locomotive is fairly accurate. My only two complaints are that the driving wheels that control the rest of the train are backward, and the cab and boiler are connected to the front wheel and not the driver wheels. Overall, I approve of it Edit: I like yours the most
i love how you are probably the only youtuber out there that actually admits that he's drained out sometimes and needs some time.. you're doing so well, shalz, we all love your videos and support you no matter what!

2:29 fun fact, the creators of extended boogies are the same ones who makes steam n’ rails. I know this cause I was on the discord server for their official Minecraft server or during season one of snr
for the locomotive itself cactus did better (coz theres more than one type of color and the shape is a little more normal so it brings more life into the build) but for everything else (the carts) shalz did better for the same reason
"going for the steam train look" *proceeds to build the piston and drive wheels backwards* Cactus' train looked better, the Copper really added to the locomotive, and he had the drive wheels and pistons facing the correct direction for that style of train.
I was going to vote for Shalz until he decided to pump water down the smokestack. That's like trying to fuel your car by sticking the fuel hose up the exhaust pipe Also his pistons are backwards
Protips for modeling trains: 1.) It's pretty safe to go with wooden cabs, or go for a "painted" look, steel cabs pretty much always had very curved roofs that are hard to model in minecraft. And steel cabs were introduced as a relatively late game design innovation, usually only on very large/articulated engines. 2.) Cab pretty much always has part of the boiler/firebox inside of it, since access to the firebox door was helpful engineers and firemen usually had seats _next_ to the corner of the boiler, not with a large empty cabin. 3.) The front of the "boiler" in the train is the smoke box, and it usually has handles and the front of it opens up for maintenance, lights were usually installed on a shelf above this door. 4.) DO NOT FORGET THE SANDER DOMES, usually on the top of the boiler there are other domes besides the smoke stack. The sander dome and steam dome are found on the top of most locomotives. 5.) The tender is called a tender and not a tinder, as it's providing both the fuel AND water for the locomotive to use to generate steam. Without water, you're not going anywhere, so make sure you add sections for both on the tender. You cannot dump water into the boiler directly because it would require a system that would maintain the pressure of the tank while adding the water. 6.) The "running boards" along the side of the boiler are for walking on, so sloping them is probably not a good idea. I mean there's a lot more here to unpack, our host did not make a very convincing locomotive, where as cactus at least made it functional within the context of the mod itself, which naturally ended up making his build look a bit better anyway.
I love watching create content. This is an amazing create video + editing is so goddamn good (especially the mirrored swear words) + the humor is funny. THIS CHANNEL IS PERFECT!
