Found Chinese dramas on Netflix during this pandemic and wanted to learn more about the culture/language. Decided to make use of my time to learn the language (at least the very basics). These videos have been extremely informative, educational and fun. I was also able to take what I have learned to surprise my Taiwanese co-worker. She was excited that I have taken an interest in her language and culture and has been more than willing to practice with me!!
This will be my 3rd language, if I can get it down 🥰

May I ask which TV channels that provide us with subtitles Eng-Taiwanese Mandarin?
As for Tv channel, i don’t think there is any... only English subtitles. Try Netflix or I usually tell my students to use Viki. It only has English subtitles or other language though;)

I believe the answer is Lin 老師好。 Although I am not certain for the character of your name Lin 林. 老師我有個問題。你怎麼說 for female? 老闆 something.

good question! to friends, I usually greet them with their name or nickname. For young people, we also say 嗨hi 哈囉hello, which is very natural and friendly :)
