- A compilation of Siskel & Ebert reviewing the films of Charlie Chaplin
As you could guess, there aren't a lot of Chaplin reviews in the S&E archives, but I assembled what I could find. Surprised there wasn't more coverage of The Gold Rush or The Great Dictator.
I also included their review of the Chaplin biopic
Primarily for educational purposes, but enjoy however you see fit!

11:14 is a crazy cut where Roger is in the exact same place years apart
Glad someone noticed!
1:35 Unintentional but brilliant sight gag; Just as Roger is talking about silent film speed, “video calibration” flashes on the screen. 😂 Chaplin must have been watching.
I respect Chaplin but I prefer Buster Keaton. The General, Steamboat Bill Jr., and Sherlock Jr. are my favorites.
I love Keaton particularly the films you mentioned
brilliant!!
Did they do anything about Buster?
