A compilation of Siskel & Ebert (and others later) reviewing the films of George A Romero 0:44 Night of the Living Dead (including the 1990 remake Romero wrote but did not direct) 7:00 Dawn of the Dead 12:19 Day of the Dead 19:45 Monkey Shines 23:20 The Dark Half (with horrendous audio! But it was the only one I could find) 25:43 Land of the Dead 28:44 Diary of the Dead (bonus review) Unfortunately, no video reviews for: Martin (1977) Knightriders (1981) Creepshow (1982) (I almost canceled the video because of this!) Creepshow 2 (1987) (though he only wrote it, I would have still included it) Bruiser (2000) Primarily for educational purposes, but enjoy however you see fit! God knows I've scratched my head a few times at some of Gene and Roger's takes on certain movies that I happen to love (The Tin Drum is a MASTERPIECE, Roger!!), but it gladdens my heart they enjoyed Dawn of the Dead. They missed the mark on Day of the Dead, though. _Spectacularly._

I looked up Ebert's print review of Creepshow. He gave it 3 out of 4 stars.
We lost a legend when George passed on but his movies never die. Even the lesser known ones are interesting.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! GEORGE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!!!

But, to be fair, almost everybody did. Day is the true Masterpiece, so the lack of contemporary praise makes sense
27:33 “trumpian, that’s a good word”😂🤣🤣
Night of the Living Dead is the best and most influential horror movie ever made.
Roger Ebert HATED the original Night of the Living Dead when it first surfaced in '68! Goto Wikipedia to read his review...
Wrong. Ebert complained that the theater let children into a matinee screening, but he admired the movie itself.
Thumbs down for Day
Thumbs up for Land
Tells you all you need to know
