Grailed is such a strange place in terms of prices... I know someone right away who is selling that margiela jacket for like 1.3 and on grailed it´s 2 k. Thats my fundamental problem with Grailed where it`s not a comunity of fashion enthusiasts but rather people trying to make a quick buck off one another.

There was an ALD patchwork shirt that sold for $400. It was immediately relisted for $2000, the guy who bought it didn’t even change the photos/description from the original listing.

It's not a cheaper alternative per se but there's a cdg homme plus leopard knit vest that is on my "too expensive but I would buy it if I had the money" list

Another fav brand of mine who does a "Margiela thing" is Marine Serre, they have their "White Line" which is the classic staples, the "Gold Line" which is the more "experimental" eccentric pieces, I think there's also a "Green Line" which is the sustainable, recycled product (could be wrong) and then their "Red Line" which is the couture stuff, fun fact, she worked at Margiela so I guess that's where she got this idea (?) Never put those two together as I just found out what all the circled numbers mean on the 'giela tags a few months ago.

The "limited /high end /expensive" clothes might be worth a bit more than the high street stuff. But definitely not even near being worth what they actually cost. As the entire point of that high price is for the elite to be able to feel special by wearing those peaces. What about that as a subject for a video?
