Thank you so much. I thought I'd tried everything I could try and nothing worked, then I found your video and I've got the photos from the razr to the android 🙏 Thank you!
You are a brilliant person for making this video, thank you so much. I used this method to take photos/videos off my old Motorola SLVR just in case others are wondering if its possible. Took a bit of patience, lots of failed connections and then the modern android not coming up in the Motorola even after pairing successfully. Kept trying, did a reboot of each phone, tried some more, eventually appeared and I've been able to save/backup some very old, very pixely memories. THANK YOU.
Just an FYI... Sometimes you have to try a couple times for the Android to see the Razr over Bluetooth and connect up. It can be kinda finicky like that. Also, if you don't have an Android, you can plug a Bluetooth dongle into your laptop and send photos that way.

It worked perfectly for me. also if you had ringtones on that razor that weren't locked, it would work to get it off of it too. I have an old Verizon Razr and tried the exact same thing with similar issues. I can pair it over Bluetooth then hit a wall because the software won't let me transfer files. You could always try Motorola Phone Tools on your laptop, but don't get your hopes up. Hi Dane is it possible to make my motorola razr without a sim card, it keeps asking me to insert sim card before I can do anything. And one more thing, how do you dispose of an old cellphone?
No, it needs a sim card to work. If it already has a sim, sometimes it'll just get loose, so try reinserting it. Also, try to find an electronic recycling center if you're done with it. You could also try selling it or take it to a thrift store.

hello, i would like to recover some photos and videos from my old motorola razr v3 but when i connect it to my pc with windows 10 i, the phone is recognized as a "modem" can you tell me why?
The "modem" connection is normal, believe it or not you can actually use a Razr as an internet hotspot for a PC through USB, it's just super slow. I've never tried connecting to Windows 10 before. I've connected to Windows XP using a USB cable and Motorola Phone Tools and Windows 7 using a Bluetooth dongle. Does your Win 10 PC have Bluetooth built in? If you're trying to do a Bluetooth file transfer the process should be very similar to the way it works with an Android. If you're trying to do a USB connection to Win 10 I seriously doubt it'll work. Worst case scenario if you really need to get the photos off there, use an old Android. Borrow one from a friend, get a cheap one off eBay, whatever you need to do. It doesn't even need to have service, as long as it has Bluetooth and WiFi it should work.

@@aushashelton7545 Does it have a raised edge around the camera? If it does then it's a Razr V3c or V3m. Those ones usually had different software and probably explains why you can't send a photo over Bluetooth.
Exactly the same process but of connecting over Bluetooth, but then you have to find the photos on the Android and send them over, usually by clicking "Share" then "Bluetooth" or something like that.
