Lokman MG just saw it. Not doubting that the value is worth the money but it IS quite a steep price. 99 dollars for a session on whether or not you should pursue an career based on drawing seems kind of... offish.
Wish I could find the dynamic sketching advertisement which brought me here. There's so much invaluable information provided by Mr. Han. I love love love his focus on the kinetics/physicality of the craft, as well as his focus/emphasis on mistakes and personal hurdles and skillful progress via dedicated practice. Absolutely brilliant.
Hello :) Here: ua-cam.com/video/XlBp51peEhg/v-deo.html You can also take a look at Peter's Mentorship here: www.cgmasteracademy.com/courses/131-sketching-mentorship-with-peter-han/
I did the home work and it was incredible what happen around the sixth to eighth page it was magical. Thank you Peter Han . I have subscribed and will be watching and I will keep up with the classes as long as they keep coming. It's incredible I've been drawing for a good 15 to 20 years I thought I was beyond lines and circles. I wasn't, thumbs up to Mr. Han👍
I am only now discovering this guy. What an amazing artist and teacher. Crystal clearcut explanations and advice. True innate artist; you can't fake this amount of talent!
Idk if anyone is reading this but he's wrong about losing muscle memory entirely. There's a reason why it's called muscle memory and not muscle forget. It takes a significant amount of time to lose muscle memory and taking some time off isn't gonna reset your progress. It will take some getting used to again, of course, but you can definitely pick it back up after a little bit of practice.
yep, like riding a bicycle after a long while. I read that Monet said it took him six paintings to get back into the 'groove' after he had a long hiatus from painting, due to his eye operation. So in a sense it is true. Best is to keep at it every day, even if only for ten minutes. But if you're serious about what you want to accomplish, then it takes the immersive lifestyle to succeed.
You have helped me so much with my art thank you so much for spending the time to ignite the fire of art a hole new world of shapes and objects have opened up to me love to buy some of your art as well I'm a huge fan
OMG... a chalkboard. Haven't seen one of them in a long time. The sound is awful so I put on the sound when you are not drawing. Love the teaching .. thank you so much. Did all the lines today.
This changed everything for me. It made that switch in my head turn on. Now im seeing and drawing the way ive always wished i could. From my imagination and not copying in a sense. Thank you so much😀😀😀
This is excellent! I'm wondering though, if it's ok to practice this on digital medium (wacom tablet on computer). Just asking because I can already forsee the amount of pen and paper cost I'm going to go through.
I recently discovered your dynamic sketching 1 course via UA-cam tube. I find the exersice helpfull & how you show the exercices. Once the exercices is done, how can i send you my work? Where can i register to continue my training with you. I’m a beginner at drawing, i took basic perpective course this summer & i want to enhance drawing. Sorry for my spelling errors since my first language is french. Thank you. I love the teaching method.
I still cry sometimes because I know I'll never be able to do that no matter if I practice because of my myoclonus. Thankfully, digital art has let me actually have some degree of artistic expression where pen and paper are not possible for me.
Do you get the same result of muscle memory drawing on an easel? Do you still hold pen 90 degrees? I don't use a pen... just charcoal. Don't worry.. I can't cheat by erasing...... too messy.
Do you rotate the paper when you train drawing arcs and lines, or do you train drawing it from different angles? Cause, a lot of times, you can't tilt your medium....
Dynamic sketching is constructional sketching with confidence. It means understanding your subject in a way that you can then later draw it from any angle you wish. Also, DrawaBox (DaB) is based off Peter Han's teachings.
+fritzki1 Usually they only post 1 part of a whole tutorial so you get an idea of what the classes are like. They "Sell" the whole class on their website. For more information head over to their website.
3:40 On his insistence on Felt Tip Pens over Ball-Points: if I HAD to draw with a permanent medium, I'd prefer felt tips. Ball-points give absolutely dreadful lines. I could never understand how people can draw with those.
Felt tips and brush pens are so versatile and they're great to use. I really love them and prefer them now for my finished pieces. For quick sketching though, I still use ballpoint or maybe even pencil at times (pencil less now because the sketches get smudged inside the sketchbook over time). Ballpoints are are just cheaper and they're just laying all over the place, and I don't feel bad if I lose it or forget it somewhere. I still think they've got their place, but as a quality artistic tool for finished pieces, I still lean towards felt tips but even more so towards brush pens and actual brushes and ink.
Dooing these daily....dont feel that much improvement...dont get me wrong, i did improve a LOT, but most of it came from getting more confident drawing anything around me. All trough, i am a bad judgement of myself, others think i got better from this. I am a big fan of Han, hope i can attend to one of his classes once.
I'm a beginer too, and his exercises are super important, but they are quite frustrating, they are slow, and you don't really see why you are doing them because it's all abstract and you don't see the point. So, I'd recommend you start somewhere else, and then return here once you have more experience.
this is for beginners, especially beginners. this is so you can draw boxes, cubes, and ellipses. if you can draw the basic shapes he drew at first, at any angle, and rotate them purposefully at any angle on demand, you can pretty much draw anything. these basics are necessary for any type of environment, mechanical or figure gesture drawing, including believable readable cartoon shapes.
"The Pan dynasty (Chinese: 漢朝; pinyin: Hàncháo) was the second imperial dynasty of China (206 BC-220 AD), preceded by the Qin dynasty (221-206 BC) and succeeded by the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD)." (Oof)
You could have easily explained this in under a minute or with probably 10 or 15 words. I get that people learn differently and the practice involves patience should people need it, but if people are not in need of a particular exercise it's best to explain it as effectively as possible so people can move through if it's not going to benefit them, which is the advantage of online learning, that it's not supposed to hold you up with information you don't need. I guess it's just not everyones kind of teaching style.
WAZ videos yes because that would reduce the amount of useless information and belabored neglect of explaining the purpose of the exercise to people who it might not be useful to... 😜👃❤️
Can you make this anymore boring. This is great for elementary students. A great job for 4 -year-old students. Good luck in the children's world; please stay out of adults.
Vladamir Vygotsky This man is not here to entertain you. His tone is that of a professor. He's here to teach YOU, not entertain you. Trust me when I say that as a student in university your instructor is not there to be your personal comedian.

Yeah, but still you will be better by just drawing and not seeking billions of excuses.
Muscle memory can be lost but not to the point of losing it before you started learning
Great video, Peter.

I'm currently doing his official lectures :)

Yes, even marking marks in the sand with a stick is good. I hope you've worn out your wacom by now.
You can afford a wacom but not thousands of cheap pen and paper at the miniscule fraction of a price?
I love the art style by peter han
the world is still needing Peter Hen

fineliner is considered as a felt tip pen?
not too fine, use 0.3 at minimum 0.6 maximum
I still cry sometimes because I know I'll never be able to do that no matter if I practice because of my myoclonus. Thankfully, digital art has let me actually have some degree of artistic expression where pen and paper are not possible for me.
you'll get there my man! never stop the grind
Love the video. Peter is an excellent teacher.
Amazing Teacher!
Are we allowed to flip the page to our advantage or should it stay straight
Do you get the same result of muscle memory drawing on an easel? Do you still hold pen 90 degrees? I don't use a pen... just charcoal. Don't worry.. I can't cheat by erasing...... too messy.
Definitely going to sign up to one of your courses!
Oh my that’s what i needed
Saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪
Do you rotate the paper when you train drawing arcs and lines, or do you train drawing it from different angles? Cause, a lot of times, you can't tilt your medium....
look at that musle , You know it legit knowing an artist with that strong deltoid arm !!!
Bif muscles equals big guitar technique too. Just look at John Deltoicci, I mean, Petrucci..
Where is the part 2
WHATS THE LAST SECTION
Why do i see stairs and not lines..
He said dont just sit and watch so I'll be back with pad n BP
The very basic for those who want to learn drawing😊👍
Is using mechanical pencils and not erasing a good alternative? I don't have felt tip pens available and mechanical pencils are about as precise.
I would reccomend using a cheap simple ballpoint pen in that case
It comes with a different mindset because you can unconsciously know that a pencil mark can be undone
But what does "Dynamic sketching" actually mean? Isn't this course about drawing by construction? Just in H2D and DAB?
Dynamic sketching is constructional sketching with confidence. It means understanding your subject in a way that you can then later draw it from any angle you wish.
Also, DrawaBox (DaB) is based off Peter Han's teachings.
❤
Hey Peter HanI know these videos where a very long time ago, but do I need to have these skills down before I can start drawing at all???
no of course not, you can learn them on your way
you need to draw to obtain these skills
No most of the famous artist u see said they dont even know this stuf when they start . but if u know u will progress faster
is it difficult drawing as left handed than right handed
Sir is there any way to learn painting from you online
He's a draftsman he doesn't really paint all that much at all.
Tip for next time, please remove the teachers necklace or mic them a different way. The teacher was really good though
why?
n probably because the necklace was hitting the mic, making annoying noices
@@user-bp2yw9ht3s the charm on his necklace kept hitting the mic making unnecessary noise
how much of this will be posted on UA-cam?
+fritzki1 Usually they only post 1 part of a whole tutorial so you get an idea of what the classes are like. They "Sell" the whole class on their website. For more information head over to their website.
Do you have to be a good artist to take the classes? I'm a beginner and when I see the student gallery I feel like child art compare to them.
Nice Maori tattoo bro

Since it’s been over 3 years now,
How’s it going? Both you and your art
Are lines actually more accurate, though? Thats the big difference that doesnt change with confidence
Is this for beginners? I draw only for two days
