The revamp continues on as we move to another classic and beloved game of the NES library, Bionic Commando! One of Junko Tamiya's greatest works on the NES, of all her compositions these have remained some of the most beloved and memorable of her career, due to the sheer catchiness and perfect mood matching these tracks bring. Junko Tamiya being a true underdog of a composer whose work should continue to be praised, songs such as the "Bionic Commando Theme", "Leap of Faith", "Heat Wave", and "Power Plant" being some of the most iconic tracks Tamiya has composed and arranged to the NES soundchip! Her renditions of the two tracks from the Arcade originally done by Harumi Fujita are fantastic, and the rest of the original composed material for this soundtrack is stellar, all with Yoshihiro Sakaguchi's sound driver tying it all together nicely. Capcom took this game to epic levels with what is essential a souped-up Commando, which this game was advertise to be a sequel to. With unique gameplay of not being able to jump, your grapple is key to the success of this game, along with all the fun shooting and exploding action Capcom brings! The graphics are wonderfully Capcom and the music stands as some of the best on the system. It's still regarded as one of the best NES games for a reason, give it a play if you never experienced this classic! :)
Absolutely one of my favorite NES games ever made. My favorite track here is Heat Wave. I’ve always thought even as a kid that track was such a vibe. The entire OST was great though, and so was the game. It was hard to get good at it as a kid but I finally beat it when I got older. Was not expecting to see non-hitler’s head exploding at the end lmfao.
Quite possibly my favorite NES soundtrack. I loved it so much I used to record it on cassette tape so I could hear it when I wasn't playing my NES. Thank you for uploading. :)
I'll talk about the person I met when I was young... 0:00 In 198X we've found the Badds' top secret material called Albatros which was never put into practice. 0:14 Imperial Force's Generalissimo Killt has seen the plan, and decided to execute the plan himself. 0:24 The Federation tried to stop his attempt by sending our hero Super Joe. But lost contact with him. One brave man was sent with a special mission... to rescue Super Joe. The story begins...
Leap of Faith and Heat Wave are fantastic compositions on this soundtrack and some of my favorites on the NES. I love Junko Tamiya's style more than Harumi Fujita's style. Her work on Street Fighter 2010 I consider her most sublime work.
Man, I have to hand it to you, Niko; this new 8 bit stereo thing you got going on sounds awesome! Thanks for doing this and please, keep up the great work! See you on Twitch.

The bionic arm in this game was such a nice, unique mechanic.
Quite possibly the best video game without a jump button.
It, coupled with great stage design, added a lot of puzzle elements to it.
My brother and I loved playing this back in the late 80s. But some of those boards were tough as hell.
Quite possibly my favorite NES soundtrack. I loved it so much I used to record it on cassette tape so I could hear it when I wasn't playing my NES. Thank you for uploading. :)
13:06 THIS IS A NEUTRAL AREA. ALL ACTS OF HOSTILITIES ARE PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA. IF VIOLATED YOU WILL BE ATTACKED.
Leap of faith has been a favorite of mine since I was 5 :)
9:55 Still one of the best nes songs out there.
Id have to say level 1- 2:03 tho, the one you mention does stand out in my mind
I was listening to Hear Wave as I read these comments. It's a great song, but I do agree with the stage 1 song being a more iconic song.
Knew exactly what this was before clicking it. Still one of my favourite video games, soundtrack and all!
The one at 2 and this one, right in the feels, the rearmed versions also hit hard. 😢

One of the most ingenious and under-appreciated game soundtracks of all time
Nintendo and Capcom never missed! Gameplay and music 🎵🎶
21:00- Your number’s up! Monster!
Looking good, Hit- er... Mr. Badd!
“Ah!”
*Mortal Kombat levels of gore*
This was my top 3 NES game. Fun gameplay, great graphics, and the finest soundtrack! I was totally shocked that this did not make the NES mini !!
Honestly, I'd pick this one over Ghosts n Goblins
They'll never add a game about resurrecting Hitler on the nes mini lol
Relayed this game many times. The gameplay and soundtrack were awesome!
Leap of Faith and Heat Wave are my favorites
Back when 2010 seemed like a million years in the future...
Leap of Faith is so good, I could listen to it on repeat for hours!
Man, I have to hand it to you, Niko; this new 8 bit stereo thing you got going on sounds awesome! Thanks for doing this and please, keep up the great work! See you on Twitch.
Thanks a lot man! Glad you enjoy it! You know I'll keep this up! :)
Good stuff! :)
Great work.
Aquela trilha sonora que você ouve e já percebe logo que é um jogo da Capcom
Your talent is unparalleled
And my coworkers wonder why I listen to game OST's while working..
Nice
a true classic. think i beat the game one time as a kid, but attempted to beat it, thousands of times... haha.
Also checkout the Commodore 64 soundtrack, arranged by Tim Follin. Some sweet instrumentation in there (also it's obvious he loved Star Wars, lol)
Niko returns! :D
1:16
So, THAT'S where Guardiane got his intro theme for his "Worst Video Games Ever" serie
"How could I lose? I have a bionic arm!"
Super ost
The Badds have a more.....historical name in the Japanese version
Yeah, that's a good way to put it. Historical.
9:55 IWBTG lol
Leap of Faith (Areas 2,9 & 11) sounds like from the Mega Man OST's
The main character looks like he was inspired by Han Solo of Star Wars.
And Tim Follin sampled the Force Theme in his version of the second level theme.
Coincidence?
you never fight the machines in the nes cover. liars lol
