The old X5 has a lot worse scenes in some outdoors... the new is shiny and has modern backround... I don't think that it's a fair made comparison. Backlights in new x5 are cool but it could be more 3 dimentional... but frontlights are missing that bmw spirit...
The new headlights are better, on the previous model the full beam created a moving spotlight which I did not like. What I wish the had not removed was the lever in the boot to lower the rear seats, this I found very useful. I have the hybrid and am most impressed with the range on the battery.
