    Thanks for this really interesting video and comments. I bought the Tuono Factory for the better suspensions, and all the additionnal features. The bike has also a different ratio in final transmission which made it more responsive. And with that, quite the most perfect and versatile bike I ever had. Thanks again.

    Great review Rikky. I always like your unbiased thoughts. This bike seems very small overall. :) Anyway had an Italian bike and I am gonna stick with the Japanese. :) Have to say that it a nice looking bike.
    p. s. Drop by this evening. I will premiere at 7.45 (GMT+2). :)

    I currently ride a 67 plate Yamaha mt10 and have been thinking about downsizing due to not being able to ride the 10 anywhere near hard on the road, but I do love everything about the bike and Yamaha reliability is appreciated. One thing I noticed about the aprillia, the build quality is ok but parts of the bike definitely have a budget feel compared to my bike and the demonstrator was having a brand new engine fitted at only 500 miles.......a shim recall apparently, make of that what you will. Another great review Ricky 👍🏻

      Hi Simon, like you said, some part are really budget. I had an Italian bike. Not gonna by one anymore. :) You can check my channel. In the evening I will premiere ... :)

      I think those shims are part of the "character" everyone talks about.

    • @RikkyTang

      Indeed there were some recalls for the 660 engines early on which would be very frustrating if you owned one, but to be fair it was a brand new engine architecture and the italians aren't alone in having teething troubles with new bikes. I like everything about the MT10 aside from the looks and I think that's why I couldn't own one - but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that! Thanks for writing in! 😊

    If I had more than one bike, I'd get an Aprilia. But since I have but one bike, it won't be Italian. Because Italian bikes, much like the Italian people, work very hard and are very flamboyant, but they also like to take their vacation time. I need a Japanese bike which, like the Japanese people, while not overly flashy or loud, never stop working until they are physically worn out and cannot continue.

      I love Italian bikes, but I have to agree with this. I would not own one as an only bike.

    First review I've seen so down on the suspension. Others seem to report it is excellent, on par, or even better, than the ST RS. Perhaps set up all wrong for your weight.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  2 роки тому

      I haven't ridden a Street Triple RS but I would also expect that to be an excellent handling bike if the Speed Triple is anything to go by. Yes it's possible that I was unlucky with this bike somehow - certainly the RS660 felt better as well.

  • @ronr6605
    @ronr6605 2 роки тому

    Interesting... u seemed to be a bit underwhelmed, mayb cos u expected it to overwhelm u, mayb cos it is that obviously nerfed compared to the rs. Weird breed that aprilia, inline2 that tries to work like inline4 but seems 2 fail in that. That wannabe like puts me off. Anyway, ur a honest dude, ty 4 ur review.

    • @RikkyTang
      @RikkyTang  2 роки тому

      I didn't really expect to overwhelm me, it's more that I expected to enjoy that style of bike more than the RS (or that the upright design would have made up for the bikes shortcomings), but the nerfing let it down. Thanks for dropping me a line!

      Though tbf this 660 sounds a lot nicer than I was expecting after watching other reviews. Nice engine note.
