She wrote the song as well as many other Aikatsu songs Sumire's Fall: The case that appeared on screen was not a murder, but a drug scandal update on Kazuhiro Kiyohara.
I had looked at the Pixiv Wiki once and they raised the hypothesis that the reason On Parade exists was because the ink manufacturer for Aikatsu cards went out of business.

Some small things i wanted to add from the things i remembered: (sorry for bad English) -Yes, they do get the arcade game localized even for the music. They also collab with jkt48 (A group similar to akb48). It got discontinued in Indonesia around the year 2018 and replaced with....an Ultraman game. I think there are still some places that have aikatsu but most of them has changed to the Ultraman game. -I also remembered a game of aikatsu mobile app where it's kind of like an encyclopedia of the cards and you can scan your cards qr code to insert it in a game, with a minigame where they play the note Do to Si with a piano. They play a note, and you have to guess what note was played. I can't seem to find the screenshot nor the game on the Google play store anymore. Anyone might remember it? because i very vividly remember playing it.
I remember that encyclopedia game thingy. I don't really remember the piano part though but I also remember the Aikatsu photo on stage game, which probably got discontinued too because I can't even find it now on qoo app

one of my favorite pieces of aikatsu trivia is that koharu’s aura was revealed before her debut! the super rare photokatsu cards will display an idol’s aura in the background and if you look at some of koharu’s cards, you can see her aura has a golden lace arch with pink and purple flowers and bubbles!!

I watched shiny star from beginning to the end and I can definitely say they are not a rip off of aikatsu. The only thing similar is getting outfits from cards that’s it.
Theres a aikatsu mahjong set, and there was a make your own design thingy that they sold at some point in the original series. I also remember that they used to sell the aikatsu phone as well for kids.
I was so excited for this one. I'll forever grief the potential Aikatsu Stars season 3... It's a shame my favorite Stats characters (Koharu and Ako) were slightly tacked on last minute.
I wish they actually released the jewelling dress for honey cat and reflect moon. Well at least we got to see it so at the very least it's still something
YUGIOH ARC V MENTION- Aikatsu Planets set-up kinda reminds me of how Otoca Doll, another arcade game, played. You dressed up and fought against visually distinct female characters with their own theme songs and get outfit parts via item drops that power you up in future battles. It had rhythm gameplay, you increased a power gauge by doing well on it, and the more you filled the gauge the stronger attacks/spells you could use. Different weapons also gave different fighting styles and typing. It's got some really good songs, amasing graphics, and gorgeous outfit and characer designs.
Yup. It even started earlier than Aikatsu. However there's enough similarities to see that they explored similar ideas, and its quite possible that they borrowed from from each other.
5:55 I'd also like to mention this, although it wasn't featured in the anime, this version of Idol Activities was added to the arcade rhythm game Chunithm along with the song Diamond Happy. It would be first added in Chunithm Crystal Plus and would still be added into future games of Chunithm until Chunithm Sun Plus where both songs would be removed. I hope these songs will get revived!
a few minutes in and I was really ashamed of myself claiming to be a fan of aikatsu!. I only follow the anime but not the arcades and commercials, especially after the machines here who only hit season 2 of first aikatsu! the zodiac dresses, then the arcades were somehow declared outdated (not trending)/discontinued for me and what I know in Indonesia. I really want to play it once but the cards for me is somewhat expensive so I never really tried it. The next arcade machines of aikatsu! series from japan was looking like lost gameplay video in YT and it's still make me jealous of watching them who've played it . i think the main comparison of aikatsu and shining star comes from the school setting and the headmaster character. Calliope (headmaster in the shining star series) is a part of a duo unit, similar to orihime in aikatsu. their counter parts (raina/reena and ringo) both are associated with the main character and help them along the way. nara (ss mc) uses reena's magic agent (tool for performing) and coord from the first ep, slightly similar to how ichigo uses hime's starlight tiara. The notable issue between the two is that calliope and reena's unit and relationship ended sour, due to reena's popularity surpassing calliopes.
the other similarity i can think of is the character of seea and aoi, with both being blue haired and smart charas. theres also ss following classic tropes such as the mc pulling out something special, and being able to transform into a different coord mid performance, similar to pripara
as a watcher of shining star i think its more of a concept that feels a little alike to aikatsu more - clothes magically changing, imo i assume that this animation took inspo from both aikatsu and pretty rhythms. the pretty rhythm inspo lies in season 2 more (the part where the idols change from normal stage outfits to their signature stage outfits with makeup. their entrance was like the entrance of prism drama (dear my future)), but certainly the animation was not entirely a copycat or ripoff. xD
To this day I am still so mad Baby Pirates got shafted and we never got every Jeweling Dress for the girls. And If Wakaba were to have a partner, i would've preferred it to be a Pop type, considering we only have 2 pop brands in AiFriends. It would've been a nice mimic to Love Me Tear considering Mirai trained Wakaba (mostly) herself. Edit: this is also a theory, but I believe we were suppose to have a 12th Dressia type in planet, considering we got 3 more in DCD. Also, I think you missed something for the lower layers: Sagittarius Milky Way transforming back to Love Sagittarius in planet. Like, WHAT!? Q-Pit went through so much just to lose to Rose and poof, her Dressi-Up dressi-downed! I also think we were suppose to get Dressi-Ups for all the girls, but considering the fanbase not liking AiPlanet enough, it's safe to assumed that was scrapped, and AiFriends may have been the one to start that trend.

I will never stop crying over the injustice that Honey Cat and Reflect Moon suffered in Aikatsu Friends, I also think it's unfair that Baby Pirates wasn't placed with the main cast, but Honey Cat and Reflect Moon were part of the main cast and the poor things didn't even receive the special aura in the first season nor the jeweling dresses in the second, even Wakaba who had just started being an idol received it (nothing against Wakaba), As much as I'm happy that at least HoneyCat and Reflect showed their jeweling dresses in On Parade, I wish I could have seen it in 3D with a solo performance, too bad we'll never get to have that 😔

The performances can be kinda boring and repetitive (to the point they just skip them 😅) but the dramatic storylines make up the core of Shining star, it keeps the innocent and colorful idol show but doesnt shy away from some idol betrayals, bullying and parent neglect.

This was a good video and very informative! Now looking at this video I definitely some of these seasons had some missed potential especially Friends and Planet but still like them.
I watched the entirety of Shining Star and I don’t think it was a ripoff. The most “ripoff” thing about it is the concept of idols with card dresses and that’s it. The shows have very different vibes and the story overall is just not the same as Aikatsu. We also don’t have multiple idols singing the same song. And most if not all the SS songs are just covers from SM Entertainment the k pop agency.

Ok, as a really old fan of Pripara and also a fan of Aikatsu 12:24 kind of… Made me angry? Because there’s a confirmed timeline of events because the Pripara directors spoke of it in an interview. What happened? Pretty Rhythm was a success in Japan, afterwards and pretty quickly, Aikatsu dropped. Pretty Rhythm directors took it as if it was a copy of their work and took it with fun and decided to use the same concept and flip it, to show that you “can’t outdo the original creators” and it actually worked. Pripara still is one of the biggest series in Japan and it’s still alive and kicking and well, to be completely honest, I’m not sure of the state of Aikatsu in Japan So, in conclusion, Aikatsu is inspired of Pretty Rhythm, Pretty rhythm copied Aikatsu when they noticed it was inspired and thus creating PriPara
I'm still pissed off of what Hidekazu did. He really ruined the fun I have in Aikatsu, im@s, and WuG. He composed a lot of songs and I can't and wont enjoy Aikatsu songs that he composed anymore. I'm glad Aikatsu didn't use his past works anymore for their new contents.

Ok, as a really old fan of Pripara and also a fan of Aikatsu 12:24 kind of… Made me angry? Because there’s a confirmed timeline of events because the Pripara directors spoke of it in an interview.
What happened?
Pretty Rhythm was a success in Japan, afterwards and pretty quickly, Aikatsu dropped. Pretty Rhythm directors took it as if it was a copy of their work and took it with fun and decided to use the same concept and flip it, to show that you “can’t outdo the original creators” and it actually worked. Pripara still is one of the biggest series in Japan and it’s still alive and kicking and well, to be completely honest, I’m not sure of the state of Aikatsu in Japan
So, in conclusion, Aikatsu is inspired of Pretty Rhythm, Pretty rhythm copied Aikatsu when they noticed it was inspired and thus creating PriPara

I'm still pissed off of what Hidekazu did. He really ruined the fun I have in Aikatsu, im@s, and WuG. He composed a lot of songs and I can't and wont enjoy Aikatsu songs that he composed anymore. I'm glad Aikatsu didn't use his past works anymore for their new contents.
