    can i get replacement foam when i totally screw up cutting it out?

    Does it have pick 'm precut foam? Or do I have to carve included foam myself?

    Do you have to cut into the foam for a rifle or can you just remove one of the bottom pads? Will the rifle be "snug" enough? I want to avoid cutting foam. Thanks

    I bought it for use as a keyboard case (synthesizer). My synth is 40 lbs and I notice the case torques/twists. Also, no lid stay (the lid flops open). Still a good deal as the online music stores want $499 for a similar rolling case.

      It's just a lid bro. The case is solid when both halves are closed. That's how it works.

    I just purchased this Pelican Vault 800 at Academy Sports for $199.99 (not including sales tax). It’s not as high quality/heavy duty as my other Pelican brand cases but l wanted something relatively high quality that could hold my AR-10 and AR-15 without breaking the bank. We’ll see how she holds up.......

    Brand new Mine doesnt close flush. Only fully closed where the latches are
    Everywhere else theres a slight a
    gap. So im thinking its not water proof/resistant . I mean for pelican its the budget version but should definitely close properly.. Also the lip is quite flimsy. Well see over time, got a warranty at least.

      It may look like on certain sides of the case that it's not fully flush but the gaps are normal with the type of polymer they use but the lid and the chassis all close to a tight seal on the O-ring

    im torn between the cost savings of this case at $200 vs the probably better 1770 at around $600. My rifle might see air port baggage monkeys and cost just under $5000. Just hard to justify a plastic box at $600+

    Barely any cheaper than the protector series and only comes with a 1 year warranty while all other pelican cases come with a lifetime warranty.
    Just goes to show that pelican themselves don't expect this case to last long.
    The only good thing about it is the size.

    • @SlavicCinnamonRollie556
      @SlavicCinnamonRollie556 2 роки тому

      No they expects products with warranties to not last long which is why they came with warranty in first place since Storm and air series are made in mexico and Protector is made in USA

    • @KurNorock
      @KurNorock 2 роки тому +2

      @@SlavicCinnamonRollie556 your comment makes no sense. The longer a product's warranty, the longer they manufacture expects the product to last. Because the LAST thing any company wants to do it keep replacing products for free under warranties.
      Typically if something has a 1 year warranty, that just means the manufacturer expects it to last 2 years under "normal" use. If the product has a lifetime warranty, the manufacturer expects the product to last 20 years or more under normal use.
