As nice of a scene as it is for Peyton and Lucas, I think Dan’s acting is the best here. He doesn’t say a word but you can tell exactly what’s going on in his head- first he’s happy for his sons, then he probably has a brief moment of regret since he could have had the same success in high school if he hadn’t pulled himself from the game, and then he snaps back into reality and realizes him and Nathan are in serious trouble for not fixing the game like they were told to by Dante
He wasn’t completely evil lmao. I mean yeah he shot his brother which is crazy but there’s still humanity underneath, he proved that later in the seasons.
ppl who hate on brooke should really watch this video, this showed development on her part not saying that her character was horrible but she had those moments that really werent bright yet this right here was completely selfless and amazing.

Plus with everything that has come out about the set environment, Mark changing things to make things easier for both parties (especially Sophia) in the aftermath would have been incredibly out of character for him.

This scene was my first ever introduction to One Tree HIll. I woke up for school one morning and switched on E4, the episode was nothing more of a background noise until Jose Gonzalez's Heartbeats hit and the drama and tension heightened from both the basketball game and what was to happen involving Haley. Unforgetable moment which made me late for school, but it was totally worth it. Watched the whole show from that day.

Honestly I think Peyton and Lucas was forced purely because of Sofia and Chad being together in real life then splitting up. For me I think that Brooke and Lucas should of been together or he should of just not been with either of them. Don’t force something that shouldn’t be there to be honest. If they wanted this then they should of worked on it more.
