- The final moments. The group of friends meet up at the Tree Hill High gym to watch Jamie play a game as a member of the Ravens basketball team. It's supposed to be quite some time in the future as Jamie is now a teenager. Goodnight Tree Hill.

I do agree the absence of Peyton and Lucas in the finale didn't suit well with me at all.
It's not OTH without Lucas and Peyton.
Glad Jamie came out as a Raven though!
I mean it is different. I do kind of wish they were there especially because when it started it seemed like Lucas was the protagonist. That being said it’s more realistic that they weren’t in it. If this was real life not everyone you’re best friends with in hs you will be best friends with 20 years down the line. Who made it to the finale did. Who didn’t is living their own life.

This show is my life. It teaches you about life and actually has meaning. I know some people are mad about leyton not being here but I think this ending was perfect. I was weeping during this episode.

Why aren’t lucas and peyton in it? Where are they?
I hated Peyton from the second time she dated Lucas and even got engaged I hoped her character died... even though Brooke deserves better and she did get better

@@juthinadira8913 hilarie wanted to leave the show because of how mark treated her. chad was written out because of this (since mark wanted lucas + peyton to be together). thats why she didn't come back in s9 but chad did for 1 episode.
mcstacia originally it was going to be Brooke and Lucas and Peyton and jake that’s why Lucas tells her he loves her and not Peyton but it was rewritten
Closing the show with 'One Tree Hill' by U2 will always be one of the best things ever done on tv. Magic.

This show was one of them shows that really gave me life. I didn't watch it when it first came to t.v but damn when i found out about it and binged watched all 9 seasons i was extremely proud to watch a show that brought so many different stories to life. They weren't just stories they brought real life situations and put them onto a character which you just loved. Still to this day i can watch a clip, an episode, a season or all i seasons and not get bored. Just exceptional, this was definitely one of those final scenes that makes you think about all of the different stories that you watched and how amazing the writers were at creating them for us.
This series had the best character arcs. I rooted for each character, and many of them grew dramatically.
Would’ve been really cool if Quentin’s younger brother was in the last scene as a player
So happy that Skills and Bevin got back together in the finale, Skills finally got the girl he deserved all along

Yeah, we're doing well. Thanks for asking. Lucas and Peyton moved back to Tree Hill. Peyton is running Red Bedroom Records with Haley. Karen's Cafe is really flourishing and Jamie works there when he's not playing basketball. I got kidnapped again but it turns out it was only Tim Smith. Lucas is an accomplished writer now but we played one on one at the River Court the other night and I beat him 15-0 and he cried. Wuss. Turns out Clay had another family that he also forgot about. What a playa.
i laughed so hard when i read about clay forgetting his other family.. :D

What happened to Brooke and Julian?
Oh um…Brooke runs Baker Man across the street from the cafe. Davis and Jude are in elementary school with Lydia now. Julian's TV series that he was working on got cancelled because Adam Reese drove it into the ground somehow. Julian is now working on the remake of the second Goonies movie. Mouth and Millicent had their baby, a son named Jimmy Huxtable McFadden. They call him "Jaws." Alex returned to town and she and Chase just got engaged last week. Chris Keller has herpes. Just another month in Tree Hill.
what happened to Sawyer?
I finished this show on saturday and, as someone who never cries with TV shows or movies, I was crying my eyes out especially in the last ten minutes. It was something really special and I never thought I would be able to become so attatched to a TV show like I became attatched to OTH. I hope that in a few years they do a miniseries or a movie just for us to see where they are and how they are.

This might be my favourite finale of a TV show. They wrapped it up so beautifully with it coming full circle and seeing everyone so happy. I mean it was a shame Lucas and Peyton weren't there but I think them leaving was a good thing because it meant we knew they were happy. If they had stayed there would have probably ended up being some messy dramatic storyline in order to keep them "interesting" even after they had gone through so much. Love it.
Jamie is 15, Logan is 11, Davis, Jude, and Lydia are 5.
The scene takes place five years into the future.
The twins and Lydia look 7.
It's be INSANE if Jamie already passed Nathan's record at 15. That would mean he scored more than Nathan after 4 years in 1 or 2 years. 15 year olds are freshman or sophomores in high school.

I'm really sad I finally finished the whole series. Great show, better than I expected it to be. I really got attached to the characters. Only criticism is Lucas and Peyton and their baby missing from the last few seasons...didn't sit well with me to cut them out like that.
They weren't cut out out. They wanted way too much money to come back. And the Hilarie burton didn't want to come back for the final season because her son was sick

DomoLaBambaSosa Actually, Hilarie didnt leave because she wanted more money. That was Chad and Chad only. If you would have watched Hilaries goodbye video, you wouldve known that she clearly was devasted about leaving, and that she didnt want to. She said it hurts her feelings when the fans think thats why she left because One Tree Hill means a lot to her. Chad wanted more money and since they did not want to ruin the happy ending of Lucas and Peyton, they basically wrote Hilarie off the show. Peyton Sawyer meant a lot to Hilarie. It really upsets me when people go around saying she left because she wanted more money without brushing up on the facts first.
I had heard Chad got a big head and wanted more money and of course Hilarie had to leave too then.

Unfortunately I don’t think they ever would. The girls (Sophia, Joy and Hilarie) have a podcast (Drama Queens) where they talk about the show and it wasn’t a highlight of their lives due to the things they experienced on set. Maybe if “Voldemort” (you’ll get it if you listen to the podcast) wasn’t involved?

According to Chad, they would all talk about wanting to get OTH back together with the next generation and themselves dealing with current social issues and even Sophia said she's not against it. In my opinion, if they are going to do a Reboot one day of OTH. they will be their own producers because I know they have already produced and written some episodes of OTH. it would be done without Mark.

During Season 4, Mark Schwahn did an interview and said his wish was to put “One Tree Hill” by U2 in the last scene of the series. Given all the near-cancellations of the show, where the plug could have been pulled after filming the last scene of the season, it’s nice they pulled this off.
And to echo other commenters, seeing Andre Fields (wearing #44 to honor his brother) alongside Jamie Scott would have been amazing.

One Tree Hill is an amazing show that really had an impact on my life growing up. As I can imagine there to be plenty of kids around the world that might feel a bit lost and trying to figure out who they are and what the journey called life really is all about. A show like OTH can be just that guidance and provide a sense of belonging in a confusing and sometimes lonely world, I know it gave me just that. Thank you to the cast and crew of One Tree Hill - What you do matters.

I’ve watched OTH since June 2020 and finished the last episode today and all I have to say is that this is the best series ever I‘ve seen. OTH teached me a lot over the last months during the pandemic. Make a wish and don‘t ever stop cause if you never try, you‘ll never know!
Still gives me goosebumps every time. Nothing beats One Tree Hill. I really miss the show so much but it will always make a mark in my heart. :)
i would love for there to be a reboot either focusing on the parents again or:
jamie in high school with his group of friends or lydia, jude, and davis in high school with their group of friends since they’re around the same age.

I remember going home from school on Wednesday early outs to catch the new episode!!! These kids today got lucky because they could binge the show. But the nostalgia factor along with the great show is all the more better because of those moment I had as a kid. Love this show and I’m forever thankful for the memories OTH!!

My wife binged and watched the Whole Series this Spring. Love the way that Nathan evolved.
I especially enjoyed the Theme Song being played in Full in the Last Episode. We’re watching Brothers & Sisters now, and I start Singing, “I don’t want to be anything other than what I’ve been trying to try to be lately”, during their Black-Out commercial breaks. I especially enjoyed seeing the whole Cast Singing the Song when the Artist sang it at Tric.
Great Show; will always be glad that we found and watched it. Someday I hope to Visit Wilmington, NC - where it was filmed.

Tree Hill isn't and never will be Tree Hill without Peyton and Lucas. It makes no sense especially since Luke was one of the main characters. I understand that their contract was done up but I'm sure it would've been possible to bring them back for this episode at least? They were like half of the actually TV show so yeah, that's my only criticism tbh.🙃❤️

I enjoy this show. The final scene of the series is endless and priceless from Jamie as a teenager, to next generation of the Tree Hill gang in childhood, Nathan, Brooke, Haley, Skills, Mouth, Julian, Chris, Bevin, Quentin, and the other cheer the New Tree Hill Ravens for the first game. I love One Tree Hilll. It's been 10 years and still the best dramatic series not only of all time, but also the 21st century. One Tree Hill Forever PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😀😃😄😁🙂

its 2018 and I just finished binge watching this show! this final moment was so perfect to end such an amazing show! this show will truly go down as a classic and im so happy the finale gave so much closure and was so perfect! one tree hill truly is one of the very few exceptions to the many shows that rush their finales and don't live up to the rest of the show. the finale was just absolutely perfect!
It’s 2022 and I’m 24. I binge watched this show in 2019 and man it make you think how fast life goes by. This is my favorite show of all time still. It shows all the emotions of high and young adulthood. I still learn from this show all the time.

Dot Grey While some may want a revival or next generation show, I think a better story to tell would be a One Tree Hill prequel show that focuses on the teenage years of Dan, Keith, and Karen. Dan would be a complicated character, not perfectly good but not as bad as he will become. Other characters could include Anna Sawyer, Peyton’s adoptive mother, who would be the cheerleading coach. And Vivian James, Haley and Quinn’s oldest sister who was mentioned on the original show once but never seen.
The finale felt incomplete because of peyton and Lucas absence. Its ashame the creator treated Hilarie poorly and harassed her. Glad she still keeps in touch with the cast despite it.

this is too much for me to handle, I want to cry but at the same time, I want to scream and celebrate. One Tee Hill is such a phenomenal show but to me, it was more than that. It has in many ways become who I am and it has inspired me and changed. This may be cringey and cheesy but boy is it true.
One Tree Hill was my favourite show (is still my favourite by far)!!! I rewatched the whole series, but I saw the ending for the first time... didn’t want to without Lucas & Peyton, but it was still worth it. It’s just weird how Jamie is portrayed like a tall brown hair guy when he is actually short and blond 😜 OTH in my ❤️ 4 ever!

I cry all the time..Brooke,Nathan and Lucas are my favourite characters. It's so emotional to see Nathan,a wonderful and changed man,so proud of his son. But OTH was never the same without Lucas and Peyton,I think it should have ended with season 6..Lucas was the main character and the focus of the show was the brotherhood between him and Nathan. I like seasons 7-9 but it was different.
