Guys / ladies, These LED components are various on voltage and current. If you replace it with wrong (smaller) then you will have it short life. So it is not that easy to replace it with any chip. They have to be matched.
If you already have a bad bulb of the same brand and power, and the led layout is the same, then you can quite confidently replace an led with one from the same location in the old bulb
Ok, this is the fourth video I've watched on repairing LED light bulbs. I have one sitting on my Electronics Laboratory Bench. It's been flickering and I want to try to fix it. Thanks for the video ☺️
Your method is also very good, but it is a bit complicated for many people. I have a much simpler way, the tools are also rudimentary but maximum effective.

I've got some map light LED's in my vehicle that I'd like to have replaced on a circuit board in my rear view mirror. I've already attempted to do this, but don't have the proper tools to do it and ruined the circuit board. I ordered a new board, but Id like to take it somewhere to have it done properly but not sure what kind of company I should look at to do the work. Any idea on what type of service/company I should be looking up to have them do this for me?
Need help for a personal and very little project. Want to make back illumination (12V) of a clock, similar to a watch, with one (or two) COB light because there's virtually no space there. Do you know where can I get this help ? Thanks.

I need help: I can find out the led voltage using power supply. But don't know the current requirements (bought smd leds of 3v 6v 9v and .5w, 1w). In a series led with 7 chips of 3v LEDs, if one of them gets faulty, can I just replace the faulty one with a 9v/6v led chip? I want to repair a couple of b22 led bulbs.

C'mon, even you mess up with the wrong chips, have some fun. You can even short them out ! Work for few weeks, try it again. :)
Is there a way to check what voltage led to buy ?

@@cameltoehunterabsolutely you can check them by starting from smaller d c voltage from 3 to 12 voltage

Seems good quality stuff.
Here is a problem, because LED Strip usually have 3V LED`s and LED Bulb - usually have 9V LED.

If you drill a few tiny holes in the light diffuser,it will help the leds cool and they will work longer.I do that on every bulb in my home.
thanks the info
Kindly tell me how
Makes sense as cooling is provided only at the back. Heat can escape better that way. Nice

using a soldering iron on the other side of the plate to de-solder the chip LED look neat... may I know the type of soldering tip you are using?
I wondered that also. But as he uses a hot air gun as well it may be a heat stick
and not a conventional tip.

They are connected in series so next in line or previous in line gives u pretty good idea where + or - will b

It's marked on pcb. For LED, test with multimeter or 2 x 1.5v batteries, then put on PCB as indicated.

I use white Silicone Sealant - don't worry, it does the job perfectly and is easy to remove - much easier than the manufacturer's adhesive.
