- This is the 2000th video which I've uploaded, so I thought it should be something special.
1000 video's ago I made a similar video, but it was time for an update.
I know there are still a few cars missing which I haven't filmed yet. Volvo 850 BTCC, V8 Supercars, Citroën Xsara Kit car, BRM V16, ...
So I can't include them in this video.
Maybe after another 1000 videos. :)

Bookending the video with naturally-aspirated V12s. A man of culture.
There are two largely different cars/engines, which have a special place in my heart: 1st is the C6R in good ol' GT1 spec. (I was able to experience the vibration in my stomach both in Spa and in Zolder. It's burned itself into my memory like no other car.) 2nd is definitely the E30 M3 with its insane sound where you don't really know what's louder: The intake or the exhaust.
Just imagine how fortunate we are to have lived at the peak of internal combustion. Mobility and motorsport is shaping up to be silent, autonomous and electric, even as it needs to, and future generations will look back at such magnificent machines as these to be rare old-timers, confined to museums and occasional, limited demonstrations. We experienced them in real life, and in real time. This is our civilisation and our culture. We are the generation what will cherish these memories when this age is over.

It's on the list of the best sounding racecars, how is it in any way underrated? This word really doesn't mean anything anymore
@@seaalon138it is on the list of a UA-cam video but this video is not going to get the attention of the majority if the car community. It still is underrated, you barely hear anyone talk about Matra and the V12.
Mazda 787B and the Porsche rsr are the best sounding of the lot

For me the pinnacle of Motorsport sound was hearing the contrast of the 2017-2018 RSR screaming banshee cry to the godly thunder of the C7.R on track together.

You mean p54b32 or p60b40? Look up for VAC motorsport's destroked S54, it sounds amazing (9000rpm)

The Huayra R to me is those V10 F1s and that 412 T2 put together except more refined. I wept a lot because I longed for a engine that screams like the F1s I grew up on as a child. I'm still tearing up because the current F1s stink. They don't scream anymore...but this Huayra R gave me hope to believe like its the gospel..
Basically the list of cars that should appear in any proper Motorsport game, or museum 🙂

I’d say most of the racing cars sound good as long as you have only a tube made of some metal and nothing in it connected at your engine end 😅 great video too 💪👌❤
How sad is it that all of them sound much better than modern day Formula 1 cars? I remember going to Le Mans in 2019 and thinking that the best sounding cars out there were the Porsche RSR and the Chevy Corvettes. It was awesome hearing them blast around for 24 hours, especially through the Porsche Curves at night. That is a bucket list item for any motorsports fan.

Awesome, I almost thought you left out the Chevy small block (Lola T70) but I was not disappointed near the end 😀. Would've loved to see the '74 RSR in as well but of course you can't put everything that you ever recorded in the video.
