In France most of the new bicycle lane aren’t plane. Because they are using machine to big for the work. So we get narrow bike lane with lot of bump !
Now I understand why it so flat in Netherlands. You should teach French road maker.
Unless the French Road developers are interested in the Dutch method, its not up to us to fix French roads or roads of any country.
Because not all roads are equal since road asphalt in every country is different compared to Dutch asphalt.
I hundred percent sure that is the same method to flatten the asphalt. The problem in France, is that the bike path are to narrow. And rh machine to flatten to big for the job. We end with hundred lil bumps in our paths. Just annoying af.
Seems like this is the comment section where capitalistic Americans and communistic Russians come together
Because they both like high viz shorts...
People are people doesn't matter where they came from, we all agreed that this cycle roads must come everywhere in the world
Communism for the ritch and Capitalism for the poor.
Efficiency at his finest
Red part looks quite narrow... Would they make this wider, if it was build in 2021?
no, just made for the width of one bicycle
lol, i am german and i thought: what a nice wide bicycle line.
It's actually quite wide, it just looks narrow in some shots.
We're not that fat in the NL, no need to make it super wide.
The newest trend is to make an all-red street, where bicycles are 'the most important' and cars are 'guests'.
The quality of roads in the Netherlands is simply unbelieveable.
Hmmmm..... Honestly the surprising thing to me is that they can work with shorts
Asphalt is very hot and this was filmed in the summer. It's a choice between keep (cool) working or fainting. But overall, you are right!
A Dutch thing, believe me.
did they install a raised speed bump crossing where they were measuring?
2:18 - 2:30 WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE DO IT LIKE THAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
please come and do your cycle paths in my country Scotland, they don't get that there supposed to be flat here .
@3:22 all that horsepower got him drifting up and down the street y0!
Good morning, could you please to tell me what raw material used, we have a an asphalt plant and one client wanted to make one bicycle lane in red color. Thank you
+Dan Florea the building company should know: ua-cam.com/video/7DbkohkGT_8/v-deo.html
Dan Florea
Dan Florea That's a open trade secret they would likely not tell...lol..
@@talijah007 they just literally throw a bag of red coloring powder into the regular asphalt in the mixerdrum at the plant. There is no special red gravel.
4:03 OCD triggered.
yep same, that was just sloppy
Same here. But there is an upside to it. He made a new video showing how that road aged. That flaw proved its still the same road aging gracefully.
you can drive on such bicycle lanes trough the whole country. You can go on a bike from south to north very easy and in peace
Yeis s
Same here in my country
Vsyo verno to i u nas vsyo v Nederland gniet zagnivaet daje asfalt ne umeem klast
so we meet again
I wonder, does this red asphalt cost more than ordinary black?
The video is so satisfying to watch for some reason.
like 50% of the streets in the Netherlands have this. it mostly depends on how crowded the streets are.
tim janssen 50%? I think it’s more :p
This is what the UK needs but sadly the Netherlands love their bicycles more so no one cares over in UK :(((
I mean, the majority of people use cars because the infrastructure for cycling in the country as a whole is shit. If the government give people good cycle paths and lanes with convenient connections will make people want to cycle.
UK bicyclists just drive on the road with the cars lol.
It also helps with the climate. Less obesity, less issues on hopital. less car crashes. Less traffic jams.
It's a win-win for everyone even if you hate cycling.
it's beautiful, brings tears to my eyes
It's a perfectionist's dream.. So clean and smooth and orderly...
4:01 they fixed it ?
that road is smoother than me!
Sm00th TV we all know... that's why we compensate.
Great work even better equipment, better use of the electronics than here in the USA for sure
You should send your guys to the UK and show the clowns over here how to do a quality job!
That guy that walk along the red carpet machine with no tools in his hands. What does he do? Did he get paid to do that?
No, that's a volunteer.
he's holding a wooden jig that he aligns to the curbway on one side and the other side touches a metal chain hanging from the truck... the driver checks his mirror to see if the woodjig still matches the chain so he can corrrect his pathsteering.
ive never seen a full truck load of steamin ground beef before!
Nice to see, but as a (may be spoiled) Dutchman, I'm still not satisfied. A separate bike line is safer. We do have a lot of them here.
