I love mine. While yes, its expensive, I have owned several M cars. 3 M4s, X5M (F85), and now this M4CS. Some of the cost comes from all the carbon fiber and the tail lights. Tails are 10 grand, the hood is 6 grand, the front lip is 1900, etc. I miss the luxury comforts of BMW such as dual zone air, an armrest, heck even blind spot monitoring, but when you tell this car to go.......its goes. It is effortless. It's just fun to drive. For the price point, it is a great car. Didn't want a Vette or Camero. I didn't want a Mustang. No interest in anything from Alfa or Maserati. I like the C63s, but chose to stay with BMW.

The younger me would've been tempted by the M4 CS, but now I'm satisfied with an M340i for daily use. Of course the M4 has more ultimate performance, but if I was buying a track car I would get something with less weight and more engagement.

You need to drive one with a bootmod3 stage 2 on 93 octane or a full E85. The car on stock turbos is capable of 10.5-10.8 @ 133-135 in the quarter mile on full E85. 10.9 @ 126-127 on 93 octane. The M4 is capable of keeping up with a Porsche 911 and is a direct competitor. There's video of it on the nurburgring and other tracks proving this. Also a tune for the M4 is only $600 dollars and $100 for additional tunes through bootmod3. The price is justified in the capabilities of what the M4 can do as in true potential. Just my 2 cents!
Rather just save the money and get a regular m4. With an exhaust, a vf engineering tune, and some after market wheels and lip. With money left over.

primo sparazza 2018 and up models have very little reported crank hub failures. As long as you stay in your torque range and don’t do gigs and hold out your 1st gear, you’ll never have the crank hub go bad. I’m at 52,000 miles and having been pushing 600 plus hp for a couple years now.

Great vids as always... You guys put out great work, I think its just overpriced vs its performance. You could do several other options like the Alfa, GT350R, M2 and some others for a better bang for the buck.

@@JiuJitsuM4 Ive been looking at increasing sizes on my M4 comp. Currently got the OEM 265 front and 285 rears, do you have experience with using wider than OEM? If so, how wide did you go for front and rears?
Also anything you noticed to the feel of the car and turning? Improved? Stayed the same? Worse?

I don’t think it’s worth the $100k, and in reality many sell (read: lease) for 15 - 20% off that mark. But at the end of the day, this will be the M4 to have from this generation.

to me letter M always meant N/A engine.
i had the chance to drive an M4, even tho it's pretty fast and powerful, it wasn't the same to me...the previous gen N/A engines have something special.

I agree with almost everything you said. M4CS is a great idea (more focused track version of the M4 but not as hardcore as the GTS), but they got the price all wrong. Only diebhard fans would pay the amount of money and from what i've read online, there aren't enough diehard fans so they're practically giving it away at normal M4 prices.

Yup it's literally a rip-off for this price when there's the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which spanks it in nearly every way. Hell it's almost as good a handler as the GTS.

You have to test drive the M3 or M4 with Pure Turbos installed. Stock ones feel so numb in comparison.

450 is enough for the track and the road. You can have pure turbos but if you have traction on you end up with just 400 back where you came from

check your facts, the M4 CS is not "limited production". You might mistake them for the GTS or the M3 CS, which were.
They built around 4000-4500 of them and already in 2018, you could have one for 25-30% discount, new.
Jeez and we thought Nissan was smoking crack when they wanted $150G's for the Nismo.

If you want a track car, get the used M4 GTS as you can get them anywhere between 70-80k. They come standard with a wing, carbon ceramics, kw club sport, etc.

Great take! BMW is really starting to fall behind, that CS for 100k is nuts; a '17 M3/4 with 20k would do the trick. Although this is probably the last good looking M car we'll see for a while, new M2 looks like 30k Toyota 86 and god have mercy on the new M3/4. They may have to steal some Audi executives to help fix their life.

What does it mean for 'over responsive' throttle?
The turbos aren't well calibrated and it has too much unpredictable boost as the rev needle climbs?
Or is it something else???
Montro-City the throttle is too sensitive. You press it gently and the car will jump, the front end will want to take off, and that isn’t what you want on the track
@Montro-City The boost kicks in unpredictably and the curve is a bit aggressive. The throttle itself is also pretty sensitive. Good in some situations, bad in others.

probably overpriced a bit but as someone who has owned both the regular M3 and the M3 CS, I can tell you the CS is head and shoulders above the normal one. all the little tweaks add up to make a huge difference. still, the alfa quad is probably the best car in the segment if only for the reliability issues.... good review but the DCT is actually still on point imo. faster or as fast as a 2020 R8s, which is similar to PDK. (PDK and Ferraris trans still prob the standard tho but this is close.)

I have a M4 CS picked it up used with 4000 miles from BMW..... price?......................57000 pounds. A bargain if you ask me. In Europe straight line speed is irrelevant. This car down a B road in the Scottish highlands is a complete weapon system. i would take this over my old M4C any day.

@@audi_steve8363 you said for "that money" the cost of this car, you'd get a R8. An R8 V8 doesn't outperform the m4cs. A V10 does easily but it's not the same money at this time. So whatever R8 V10 you found for 90k, it is very old, and at that point should be compared to models of similar age and cost. Now if you just want an R8, then that's cool. The M4 was never meant to compete with a R8.

Yup, your poster is hung up in his shed where he gets locked away at night lol. The M4 GTS is hardcore man. But it’s even more expensive than the M4CS. I don’t mind a sensitive throttle but this was even a little much for me. It just kept you on your toes all the time.
Airstrips don’t make for the best launches, but at least they are long AF so we can do the full ½ mile test.
Yeah 10.80 was faster than I expected especially reading about stock F80/F82 doing mid 11s.
The M4 is a cool car in general and I feel like this platform was definitely something I should have some time with because it’s practically the benchmark for this segment.

@DanielZar That’s not bad, I hear BMW is leasing them out quite well. If you’re leasing then it’s probably a different story. I’d try to get it under 900 though, as that’s what I think the owner of the one in this video got his for.

I think you can get a good deal on the M4 CS here in England, which makes it better value, but it's still a very expensive car for what it is.
I do really like it, but the performance is not quite as amazing as you'd expect.
Crazy really, as other BMW models are absolute bargain performance. I have an M140i, which although is a cheap 1 series in build quality, performance is great, and with a cheap remap mine does 0-60 in around 4 seconds flat.
The performance difference between mine, and this M4 CS, does not justify the price difference.
But the CS should hold its value a lot better even compared to the Competition for example. So come selling time, it should be better

Also, an M2 will destroy my wobbly M140i around corners, unless I spent £4000 on suspension modifications.
I have seen some high mileage M2 for £25,000, but still, I think my little M140i is a bargain for £20,000 : it only had 14,000 miles on when I bought it.

😄😄 yeah it was certainly a fun vehicle to drive and it’s been on my list for a while. The funny thing about price is that the supply and demand caught up with this car and dealerships had to start giving them away. I heard the owner actually leased it for not much more than a standard M4.
Only good thing about the CS are the taillights and hood. Very expensive in the aftermarket.
M4CS looks likes a fun car, but yes you're right, just an M4 and at 110K which is what I presumed this car would be priced with the CCB options, you're looking at used Gallardo or McLaren territory. And even though those are older, you feel a little different driving something like that, than what is sort of an entry model BMW with crazy track mods.

Under 100k I would take a C7Z06 or Viper GTS with TA setup. For 4 seaters give me the RS5 its a better all around car and as a track car the CTS-V is great fun.
Agreed, if we're talking same segment, there are a ton of coupes that I would buy over this car. My first pick would 100% be the C63S AMG Coupe. But idk, because I haven't driven one yet. Hopefully soon.
