Hi! I was so happy when I found your video, after searching for so many methods to help with my scar. I had a mole removed on my chest and neck back in January, and still have some raised scarring-it's worse on my chest. I bought some silicone scar sheets, which I've been using for almost a couple months, and there are times when I feel like the scar has flattened, however there has been no permanent improvement.

I've been taking 8 Serretia 3xs per day for 7 days, and along with massage with warm castor oil, the scar tissue that formed from lymph edema under a tummy tuck 11 years ago is finally going down, and feeling mushy, rather than solid like before. Much of that area was also numb and had no feeling. I'm getting feeling back! I've also lost 5 lbs. I'll keep posting my weekly updates here in the comments section!

I had a nasty acne scar many years ago. It was right where a necklace would show, or even a small V-neck top. My mother engaged the assistance of a general surgeon to cut it out...Not a plastic surgeon! Now, it is bigger, redder, taller, and has the addition of the scars from his ham-handed stitches as well! The rest of my decolletage tends to wrinkle as it is so large and stiff. I'm definitely going to try your suggestions, thank you SO much!

I’ve had several abdominal surgeries in 2018 to treat my cancer: biopsies, cytoreduction, removal of gall bladder, omentum, spleen, as well as an iliostomy and reversal. I think there is adhesions in my belly, which is particularly troublesome when I cough-stabbing pains. My massage therapist recommended castor oil packs and stretching. Curious if you have patients with similar symptoms and what course of treatment indicated. Stephen C

Dr. Melissa. You give me hope. I fell and broke my left ankle in 5 places and spiral fractured the fibula 18 months ago. They have done 3 surgeries putting the ankle back together and then taking out hardware that restricted movement. I have done tons of physical therapy and even 10 sessions of acupuncture. I am still left with limited flexibility and pain that limits me greatly when I walk. Will the enzymes help? How long do I continue taking them?

I have dealt with abdominal scar tissue for years. I’ve seen a physical therapist several times and found it very beneficial. In May I had the left lobe of my thyroid removed. I did have some bulging after the initial healing process that I was able to message away. However, I did get some other scar tissue that connected behind my scar to my esophagus. Every time I swallow it pulls and looks like an upside down ‘V.’ My ENT said he never had anyone have this happen. He called it tethering. So he gave me 2-3 rounds of a type of steroid over a few months time. Unfortunately, it ate away at the fatty tissue in my neck that left indenting. I’m extremely frustrated about the whole ordeal. I’m continuing to message because if I don’t my neck starts hurting. Do you think those enzymes would help me? Any remedies for having too much steroids in the skin? Can you recommend anything else?

I an so glad to have found so.eone who can shed some light on my scarring. I'm a gastroschisis survior, one of the first to live in my region. And I've lived with scars and scar tissue my whole life. When a new doctor sees my surgical scars they've asked me who did this to me, because none should have a licience after leaving me this scared up. Then I tell them I was born with gastroschisis in the 70s, and they are somewhat appeased. I've recently had surgery to remove scar tissue along with cross section and adhesions removed, twisted bowel. Is there a way to see you for a protocol that would be tailored to my issues? I'm not sure where your located, but I would love to see you in person.

My mom was supposed to have surgery for reversal of colostomy. But due to very bad adhesions they don't wanna do it. They say she may get holes/perforations in her remaining colon if they remove the adhesions which was a lot. May therapy work.

New subscriber because of YOU...Mine is at the ball of my feet near an incision site where I had a fine piece of glass in my feet for over 10 years that turned into a callous over time! currently I rub my feet down in castor oil... I place a fresh lemon slice over IT once a day. I also put a silicon scar strip on the ares.
Within a week the scar tissue has flattened out... And during my daily baths I massage and soak IT with Epsom salt and green alcohol!
BUT Question? It's been @3rmths since my foot surgery... Would you still recommend the same treatment options?🤔

I've had many surgeries, cuts, burns, chronic eczema, and dyshidrosis from severe nickel sensitivity. All my scars are keloid scars. I've had a complete hysterectomy and prophylactic bilateral mastectomy surgery, so am low on collagen and hormones. This made it worse for me, being one of your super scarrers.
It's funny, I just started using castor oil on them 2 weeks ago and was now looking for a way to minimize loose skin as I lose 100lbs of fat on a modified keto diet that is low nickel and anti inflammatory. This will be a lot of help. Thanks!

I fell into a heat return while remodeling my home and hit my thigh which immediately started to swell up. The doctors at that point said that the swelling was due to fluid after the injury and that my body would absorb the fluid over time. It has been a year almost and I still have this lump which now the same surgeon says it is scar tissue after my CT scan last week. I want to know if the methods you talked about in this video will help me?

    Dear Dr. Melissa,
I had exploratory surgery which made me have the scar tissue and the trouble that you talked about. And with this operation I developed three hernias of which one was very grave. And having the pain because of the hernias and having the thick scar from the operation I went ahead and had an operation to repair the hernias and have scar revision done. And despite all that I am still having scar tissue that is rather thick and uncomfortable. Yes, much money went into all this, not counting all the time and pain.
And with your protocol, after adding all the cost of these supplements, it will come to be much money into it of which I will be willing to try but knowing that laser treatment can also help, my question to you is, in your opinion, what treatment should I choose seeing that they both will come to be about the same price? I hope that you have the time to answer me back.
    Thank you,
    J

Dr Gallagher, I am intrigued by your video on scar tissue removal. I am one of those scar tissue builders. Presently, I am dealing with scar tissue trapping the nerves in my foot. I had two ankle surgeries for a torn peroneal brevis tendon. The first, 10/17 was to repair the 50% torn tendon. After 3 months post-op, an MRI was done again and showed the tendon was completely torn. I changed surgeons and the 2nd surgery, 3/18, was an ankle reconstruction. The 2nd surgeon removed 1-1/2 inch thick scar tissue all over my foot, repaired the ligaments, and replaced the peroneal brevis tendon with a cadaver tendon. I have 4 incision scars where he went in; a 10" scar on the side of my foot that runs from my little toe all the way to my ankle bone and up 90 degrees about 4". Another two small entries on the top of my foot, one on the inside of my foot and another on the inside of my lower leg about 6" up. It has been 11 months and my foot is numb from the small toe and progressing toward the big toe and about half of the top of my foot is numb. This is causing extreme instability when walking because I have no feeling on the outside of my foot. I am afraid of falling and breaking a bone, and then I will have another problem. The awkward gait has shifted my back out of alignment so bad, the chiropractor cannot even keep me adjusted. So, now I have back issues as well. The doctor says to just continue with PT, and he says surgery to remove the scar tissue would just grow back scar tissue. He also says that the cadaver tendon is just not strong enough because it is causing my foot to want to roll to the outside. Two years ago, before these surgeries, I was in better shape even though I had a torn tendon. I am healthy otherwise, 67 years old, and have been active doing many things. I still work in my office, owning my own business, in several service clubs, active in my church, the chamber of commerce, etc. I have been in physical therapy and the PT is using the massage technique to try and break up the scar tissue, using the tens unit, and icing. I am also using compression stockings to keep the inflammation down, along with the anti-inflammatory medicine, Mobic. I have a lot of inflammation from this in my ankle and lower leg, to the point that my lower leg has taken on a different shape with a dent in the outside of the leg about 4 inches above my ankle. Above that, the leg thins out, then widens in circumference up to my knee. I am interested in trying the Proteolytic Enzyme capsules if I can get that many down per day, and the castor oil packs. I will also try the pinch and twist. In watching this video, I realize that my belly most likely is full of scar tissue as well. I had three abdominal surgeries in an 8 month period in the year 20.00. My stomach was swollen and never went back down after those surgeries, (1 colon, 1 small intestine, 1 complete hysterectomy) between January and August. I will try the castor oil pack on my stomach as well. If I didn't have this issue, I would be fine.I am really hoping your protocol of the enzyme capsules, castor oil pack, and massaging the scar tissue works.

I have internal scar tissue around my jaw bone due to a dental surgery pulling a wisdom tooth. This happened 7years ago and unfortunately I haven't been able to open my mouth which is unbelievable. Scar tissue Extended from my temple to lower jaw only on the left side of my face joining facial bones together. I can't open my mouth not 1 centimeter. Without steroids it will inflame and cause headaches. I had a feeding tube to keep myself healthy. I became malnourished within the first year it happened. Praying that these steps you provided heals me completely. Thanks for the information.

I stepped on a kitchen attachment blade in April and had the wound sutured in the ED. I slowly developed significant painful scar tissue in the arch of my foot and was unable to wear a closed shoe. I saw a podiatrist who recommended surgery. I had a large neurofibroma removed Sept 12. Sutures were removed 3 weeks later and I was released to bear weight. That day the incision opened back up. I was put back on non-weight bearing until healed. At this point the incision is still not closed 6 weeks later. I can feel the painful scar tissue developing again along the edges of my incision. Is there anything I can do in the time being while my incision is still fragile??

I am 6 months out of healing with regular skin, I am watching her vid to use this after I go back to remove more to heal better right away . I have the video showing my surgery on my channel, sorry for the long response but I am passionate about delivering this message to others as much as possible bcuz I know what it’s like to suffer from them.

Good morning Doctor, my 13 yr old son broken his thumb being hit by a pitch when he was up to bat. This happpened last April. He is not able to bend his thumb much at the joint closest to his nail. He has been going to physical therapy since the cast came off weeks after the break. The doctor says it because of scar tissue inside. They wont do do surgery because it will cause more scare tissue. Will your therapy work help break his internal scar tissue and his thumb moving again? Please help this has been going on too long.
