Great lesson! I've been struggling with grasping this topic, because some daily uses of "others" do'nt fit the main rule. For example: "I don't like this shirt. Do you have any others?" Is this sentence correct?

In general the first one... "another 3 days" = an additional three days.
However there is a less used example of "other 3 days" that needs the article THE before it.
- I don't want to go on these three days, I want to go on the other three days.
Though almost always you will use "another + number + time period" when you are talking about an additional time period.
