Best overdrive pedal I have ever heard and owned, endless tone possiblity, use it as stand alone distortion or channel boost to drive the front end of an amp it covers it all.
I own one of these and it’s usually all I bring to a gig for drive sounds. But I run mine a lot differently, namely, at lower gain settings so the two circuits actually sound different. There was so much distortion throughout most of this demo that I couldn’t distinguish much tonal difference as the circuits were switched and the other controls changed. Clearly, as evidenced by this demo, the pedal is capable of a shit-ton of gain and distortion. But trust me when I tell you that it also does a great job with much lower gain sounds where it also responds nicely to volume changes from the guitar. That’s how I use it on my Americana/country gigs with a Nashville Tele.
Can you switch between a slight crunch to a more aggressive distortion by just pressing the pedal with your foot ? Or do you have to change the channels with your hand ..I guess I'm looking for a overdrive and distortion pedal all in one ..Takes up less room on my board . ????
@@hotrodguitar72 it has a remote switch input jack but not on its own Edit: it seems I misspoke, as there is the JHS/Boss mode, which means the pedal is always on, and the foot switch on the pedal switched between the two drives
Boss has never done "masses" of bad products like companies like Line 6 where the whole catalogue is hot garbage (except the wireless systems). Boss just basically got the shit for the Metal Zone which is like one "bad" product in like 3-4 decades. Look at the little Katana amps. I thought one can never do a relatively good sounding non tube practice amp, but they managed to it. Not to mention that their pedals are build like tanks, I have yet to destroy a Boss pedal.
lol my boss noise gate is obviously garbage that dies in storage xD. boss is the justin beiber and jim kardashian or israel of the music world. i bet a dual citizen israel runs it even. music products makers are wirse than crack and weed dealers when it comes to robbin baseheads
Pedals like this are good to put in low to pepper sound. Anything more is just sonic destruction. I can see how that can be someone's thing, sure isn't mine.
I don't like the oversaturated sound. It's like a Metal Zone! Too fizzy. It's got no personality at all. It's a strange unit indeed. It sounds horrible in all the videos I've seen!

The best overdrive/distorsion of the Boss line.
That’s really saying something
This pedal has huge range. .. great video :)

It makes a great boost for a distorted amp and adds a nice thickness/richness
Thanks that’s what I wanted to hear. All demos of this use mostly high gain which sounds great but I wanted to hear the low gain settings as well.

I heard that the Angry Charlie in this box is a Marshall JCM 800 sound
Humbuckers demo begins at 3:10 - thanks for taking the time to make this video and demo this awesome pedal so thoroughly :)
Great demo. Thanks for turning down the drive to be able to hear the range of the pedal. I think I am getting one.
Incredible sounding. You’ve made me want one!
this is what im gonna use to boost a DSL100H, ready for METAL!!!
Hey sweet man! I'm gonna use one with my dsl100 more for the blues and some hard rock!!
Just ordered one - can’t wait to run it into my dimed HM2.
Boss does it again.

Boss and JHS do it again haha
The only Ric-James I totally agree and if the pedal does somehow break they are usually super easy to fix.

My LS2 is broken :/
How do you have it cranked and have no hum?
The J+B mode sounds friggin ridiculous.... it keeps sustaining !
Do you happen to know how this pedal is compared to the Boss Power Stack?
Why is damn pedal so frickin expensive😭 I want one so bad🥺
im sold
Very nice vid. Tks
Sound like acdc..
Было бы неплохо указать комбик и микрофон хотя бы
Sounds awesome
so it took then 70 years after the 60s died to make a 60s rock sound pedal?
Lol. Yeah, half a century to make a 60s pedal that sounds like the 70s.
Звучит убедительно!

super caro aqui no Brasil.... pqp
Is this being played through a vox?
Ac15c1 it looks like. Nothing in the description I saw tho.
Yep
Why always single coil in these videos
3:10 he plays humbuckers
Lol
Must be my age, this pedal sounds absolutely terrible.
Kossofffan it sounds MUCH better used as a boost

@@robertdays6226 High, I tried one out in a shop in 2018 and I loved it. It been on my board ever since!
