Thank you for this video. The dishwasher wasn't calling for water and all the other videos and commentaries kept pointing to the valve. When I tested my valve it was fine so I kept looking and thankfully I found this video. The sensor was clogged with grease and when I cleaned it out with a Q-Tip all was well. Saved myself some good $$$.

I saw somewhere that there is an upgrade kit for this part, apparently to keep it from failing so quickly. Do you know how end users can obtain this kit instead of just buying the replacement part to have it fail again? Is there a new part number that includes any parts update?
My dishwasher starts pumping as soon as it starts, so I'm assuming the dishwasher THINKS it is full and ready even though there is no water in it. Like a clothes washer, I am hoping that dishwashers are smart enough not to run dry.
Thank you far any help you may give.

Electrolux has a website with replacement parts. Whenever a part gets updated the new part will replace the old one on the website.

Exact same here - 3 years old, very clean. Getting i44 frequently. Not repairing it if it's going to keep breaking - major effort to follow this video in my kitchen, will upgrade to a more reliable brand / design if such a thing can be found.

@@googler38 I'm also seeing lots of i44 codes with my Ikea/Electrolux dishwasher - mine is also pretty clean and 4.5 years old. Did you resolve your problem or just replace the unit? Thanks.

Before you want to do this. Check if all the filters are clean, you open op the filters and blow water with a straw into the narrow holes at the bottom. Use a pickfork (not too sharp) or something to peel out any stuff most likely a lot of chunk comes out. This will at least cancel out that it is not just simply a failure because of stuff that's in the way of the sensor instead of replacing a sensor (more difficult and costly). These errors will come most likely with an i20/i30/i40 error, if the machine runs well and there is no water at the time of the error and the dishes seem clean.

Hi @thomasvandewolfshaar1280 I have an Ikea branded Electrolux washer (Ikea Hygienisk 90331939 , Electrolux PNC 911434399/05)and am getting mostly i40 and i44 codes plus the occasional i10 / i11 code. I have thoroughly checked the drain hose and filters by removal and cleaning and have confirmed the fill hose is working fine too. My thoughts are that the pressure sensor switch is the next most likely problem since it is involved both in filling and draining. Would you agree? Do you think there is any point in removing and cleaning the sensor or should I just get a new one? Thanks.
Edit: Meant to say - it also activates the drain pump with the door open after an i44 code sometimes which is a bit strange!
