He's right IMO. Rollers ink in straight lines, and I honestly hate using them unless it's for stealth kills, and just can't use them without rapidly flicking ink rather than rolling it. I'm not too big on the brushes either, but I honestly think they ink better, especially the inkbrush because of it using less ink and being faster. It is just my opinion though. ^-^
5:39 footloose station is actually really easy because all of the enemies are standing on crates that break as soon as you hit them so you can just roll with the ink brush and kill them all really fast. As long as you yourself don't fall through the holes that is

Here's a Random Tip for the Fight, if you Use Octobagging while Moving, You could avoid being Shot with the Original Hero Shot (Inner Agent 3's Weapon) Most of the time.

It's called Matchmaster, not Matchmaker. Matchmaker is the easy dog one. At first people may think "Matchmaster is easy! It even shows you what crates to break!" When using a rapid blaster pro though, that thing is hell.
All you have to do is shoot the pixel at the edge of the corner of each box, it's slow and boring for a splatoon level but it's like a game of minesweeper
Don't worry, it's super fun and each level feels refreshing and unique. The harder difficulty compared to the hero mode feels gratifying to players who've completed single player first, so I'd do that :)
Don't be scared, I'm sure you can beat it! I got the Octo expansion as soon as I got splatoon 2 about this time last year, and I finished it in about a few months. I'm now going back and 100%ing all of the levels because I enjoyed it so much. Also, free gear!!
2:00 In Dinky Ink Station there is a crate immediately to your left at the beginning that contains a ink refill, if done properly you only need to beat one of the side paths. You could also use the refill to make missing your shots less punishing.
not wrong. I did it with a skip around the fort set of boxes, ditching the propeller lift (just jump in kid then go to octo), and using the secret ink tank.

Yeah that level is a bit weird. Personally if I can recall, it took me 1 or 2 tries but I've seen for others like yourself, it takes a lot more tries. I don't think it necessarily has to do with your skill but more with rng of the AI.
It's called the Match "master" station Nagomi and his team added it to the Octo expansion knowing that people were going to speed run it, so they added multiple levels that require patience to stop people from attempting a speedrun.

A lot of these levels can be easily beaten with a different weapon or method. Also, I love those box sculpting levels. After a long session of HELL, it feels good when your not being CHASED BY OCTO SNIPE- *ahem* In my opinion, I like those levels.
When I finally beat Ink & Watch Station, I actually cheesed it. On the third platform, I was down to 1 crate left when I ran out of ink. I panicked and used my dry roller to break the crate with direct contact before CQ exploded the ink bag. It counted as a win.

3:40 You have to be careful with your vertical swing ? You can use your normal swing with the same ink consumption. 5:00 You don't need to fully charge the Bamboozler on small crates so you can spam when there's more than one crate up ahead.

I feel like the hardest stations for me are matchmaster, targetbuster, move it move it and righteous rails. While some on the list, like the car one, are hard, you have enough checkpoints and free room to not feel too stressed. However, with the above 4, one slight mistake causes you to start from the beginning, making it especially painful.
ACTUALLY..... The bamboozler is a good weapon. People call it trash since they need to get good, The bamboozler requires a lot of skill and those who have that skill, I respect, If you call it trash, you don’t have the skill for it. Also, most of these levels were pretty easy with the highest weapon (not dinky ink tho, THATS where I agree) The eight ball levels and gnarly rails station are also easy. JUST. GET. GOOD. A lot of these levels are very easy... Inner agent 3 is the hardest...
I remember when I first got Octo Expansion, and had a tough time with the Move it Move it Station, and never was able to beat it before story completion. When I went back about a month later to clear all of the levels, I completed it first try. Ultra Instinct?
I mean the level design is ingenious but also rage inducing to the point where I just decided just to not do the rest of the levels and just go straight to the final boss although i didn’t really find the footloose station that hard the others make sense and I actually loved how some of the levels had references to like older console’s like the GameCube
Brushes spread more and rollers have always seemed like a “clean-up” kind of weapon, to me at least. You can ink more with a brush as long as you tap enough and keep an eye on your ink.

While I have to agree with u I am gonna say that it's the most useless one (Alongside Neo Sploosh). There's imo no reason to use the E-Litre in this game. In Splatoon 1 u had the range, (n Damage Up but buffing it's attack would make it broken) u had a reason why u would wanna use it. But the range of it in this game is not that far off from the Splatterscope tbh. The kits are also a few steps down from the Splat Chargers, Splat Bomb n the Wall are both better for close range defense then the Ink Mine, S U C C Bomb Rush is just better for map control then Ink Storm, n while Bubble Blower is a decent choice for pressuring, the Explosher is made for Bubble Blower (the pressure u can give wit dat Bucket is insane XD). These are just ma opinions tho.
GGtheGreat yes but how “good” a weapon is is just based on player skill and preference. For example, people say the dynamo rollers all suck, but I can still kick squid with any of them. I’m not saying bamboozler is bad, I’m not saying I know how to use it. I will say that tier lists are based on top level play. If players with say, a shooter preference and bad aim, and one would use a splat charger and the other is bamboozler, the splat charger would probably win. Same applies for neo sploosh-o-matic and squiffy. Edit: I forgot the KITSS! Eh it’s still preference

Nathan McElroy it's even easier than that. Go in front of him when he's on the edge which is most of the time since being hit won't result in being off stage.
To unlock the secret boss you have to get all mem cakes without hacking
In the octowasher one you don't need to use the vertical swing so it is actually much easier and doesn't deserve a spot on this list

the ink and watch station, you dont have to do only vertical swings, and just flicking the roller while standing makes things easier on the first two platforms
I feel like the hardest stations for me are matchmaster, targetbuster, move it move it and righteous rails. While some on the list, like the car one, are hard, you have enough checkpoints and free room to not feel too stressed. However, with the above 4, one slight mistake causes you to start from the beginning, making it especially painful.
ACTUALLY..... The bamboozler is a good weapon. People call it trash since they need to get good, The bamboozler requires a lot of skill and those who have that skill, I respect, If you call it trash, you don’t have the skill for it. Also, most of these levels were pretty easy with the highest weapon (not dinky ink tho, THATS where I agree) The eight ball levels and gnarly rails station are also easy. JUST. GET. GOOD. A lot of these levels are very easy... Inner agent 3 is the hardest...

I remember when I first got Octo Expansion, and had a tough time with the Move it Move it Station, and never was able to beat it before story completion.
When I went back about a month later to clear all of the levels, I completed it first try.

I mean the level design is ingenious but also rage inducing to the point where I just decided just to not do the rest of the levels and just go straight to the final boss although i didn’t really find the footloose station that hard the others make sense and I actually loved how some of the levels had references to like older console’s like the GameCube

I think brushes may actually be better for inking. As long as you can rapidly tap the button it can be more swift.
Brushes spread more and rollers have always seemed like a “clean-up” kind of weapon, to me at least. You can ink more with a brush as long as you tap enough and keep an eye on your ink.

While I have to agree with u I am gonna say that it's the most useless one (Alongside Neo Sploosh). There's imo no reason to use the E-Litre in this game. In Splatoon 1 u had the range, (n Damage Up but buffing it's attack would make it broken) u had a reason why u would wanna use it.
But the range of it in this game is not that far off from the Splatterscope tbh.
The kits are also a few steps down from the Splat Chargers, Splat Bomb n the Wall are both better for close range defense then the Ink Mine, S U C C Bomb Rush is just better for map control then Ink Storm, n while Bubble Blower is a decent choice for pressuring, the Explosher is made for Bubble Blower (the pressure u can give wit dat Bucket is insane XD).
These are just ma opinions tho.
GGtheGreat yes but how “good” a weapon is is just based on player skill and preference. For example, people say the dynamo rollers all suck, but I can still kick squid with any of them. I’m not saying bamboozler is bad, I’m not saying I know how to use it. I will say that tier lists are based on top level play. If players with say, a shooter preference and bad aim, and one would use a splat charger and the other is bamboozler, the splat charger would probably win. Same applies for neo sploosh-o-matic and squiffy.

One shot station isn’t too bad tbh. Aim for the bottom and shoot when it is slightly to the right as it will explode all three right in the middle destroying all the boxes.
I can’t relate to the hardest level on this list to me it was easy even the 8 ball test were a breeze but girl power was impossible I beat it and beat inner agent 3 got that dum took pick and finished it :/ so yee
