- Which stage is the best stage from Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion? I played through all of them and rated them tier list style. I guess I never specified which one I though was the best of all the V tiers, so you get a little bonus for reading the description: Line F 10 "Cubular Station". What's your favorite?

Octo Expansion taught me how to use ink jet and baller more efficiently, but man it felt good to beat Inner Agent 3.
beating inner agent 3 felt so good, I remember, that I tried to beat him for like 2 hours straight and i was so happy when I finally got him down

It feels good beating Inner Agent 3 because IA3 is supposed to be you playing single player. So you are beating yourself in single player from an Octarian perspective.

This stage gives me bad memories not because it’s difficulty but it’s when I first discovered my joy con had drift. It was a dark time being forced to play mayo vs ketchup 2020 with a wired GameCube controller.

That is unfortunate though about joycon drift, I hate that it's still such a prevalent issue Nintendo refuses to fully acknowledge...

You know the permanent fix for joy cons drift has been found right? I know everyone is talking about it so it's not likely you don't know, but I just want to make sure you aren't still suffering lol
I love that a V-Tier stage plays the “Thang Obtained” jingle, and that an A-Tier one plays the “Test Passed” one
footloose station actually does have some hiding spots, theyre beneath the solid platforms that make up the "eyes" 22:20
4:08 Ah my favorite part of this level is right there at the begining where while ur shooting the pellet drums, it pushed you off, just as the platform is pushed out and, i think it got us all when we first played this level, and im kind of surprised u didnt really talk about it

Nearly all these levels were hard for me because I was still fairly new to Sploon and I was _still playing with sticks back then_
I play sticks and beat every Octo Expansion level with every weapon (and inner agent 3) with them :)

@@Spuddie203 :) it’s probably because I hated motion controls and I always aim too far lol. Then I tried sticks and learned how to aim more precisely. (I’m no charger main or anything tho)

I love the several 70s/80s/90s references made in the DLC, from Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, to Van Halen’s Jump just 👌👌👌

Genuinely, I think my favorite stage is the one that takes you through the tutorial area. It had been so long since I had played the tutorial that I genuinely thought they designed an entire area for a basic stage! Bit even knowing what I do now, it is still a fun stage
Btw if you guys didn’t know, for the One Shot station where you have to get all the crates with balloon fish, you can finish it as soon as you touch the checkpoint. Just hold ZR, step slightly right, and if you time it right you’ll immediately win the station

Best part about Matchmaker Station is that you can toss a bomb towards the boxes from the platform with the goal. Just do it after you've assembled the data point.

An intriguing set of tiers, Unpredictable rankings within that set, and a longer than normal amount of Vasko's entertaining style . . . 3 1/2 stars. 👍👏
(I would have thought Vasko would rank the bosses higher as when I've asked on stream, he said those were his favorite[s], but I digress.)

breaking the crates with rapid pro is the best stage (matchmaker station)
For some reason I found it fun instead of frustrating.
I feel like I'm the only person on planet earth who liked the 8 ball levels, I love the music and I liked having an excuse to slow down and think it through/solve a puzzle instead of just difficult platforming or playing it as a run and gun game

The third one on the d track (with all the wibbly wobblys) I spent literally half an hour trying to figure out the end part where you throw the bomb onto the booster ramp. Idk why but my brain forgot I had bombs even though I used them previously in the same station.

I like the bamboozler for one reason. In the Ballon and crate stages, it's fast charge rate is amazing, as the crates still break instantly to it.
In defence of A01, if you collect all 100 power eggs in a row without hte counter in the top right resetting, there will be a special line from Captain Cuttlefish and you will get rewarded with 100 extra power eggs, nice little detail and amazed me when I first got it.
Knarly rails and baller size are two of my favorites because of how fast paced they are
someone please explain to me why everyone thought the 8-ball stages were hard, i loved getting a break from most of the other stage types

Love the way you say the names of the stations! It must have taken a bit of a while to figure out which tier its gonna be so good on you!
I was going to say the rainmaker stages sound like they should be memorable for being two unique gimmick stages, but then I realized I don’t remember either of them
For me, line B gnarly grindage with the bamboozler (5:31) is the most difficult stage ever made in a splatoon game (until today, before the release of the splatoon 3 expansion pass). It's harder than it looks, it really made me suffer even though I'm a charger main.

i actually really liked the cratebuster station. Trying to figure out the best strategy of breaking the most boxes with the different weapons was really fun
also all of the rotating room stations were super fun, just unfortunately very easy.
also girlpower station isnt that hard with curling bombs.
also the 8 ball stations arent that hard atall
but the dodging ones and the grind rail target busting ones are
"Grillers from Salmon Run?" Those... those are flooders... They've been around since the first game. The grillers are probably based on them.

On the balloon station where you can’t stop moving or the balloons float away is actually the first level from hero mode but in reverse

I like how the most replayed section of the video is "Is that the Legend of Squelda?"--presumably so people could look at the cartridge (I'm people).
The pool stage I got my first try everything went great and nothing went wrong
The people who always had an online membership don't know how good it was too still have a way to play with supers and rainmaker/tower
Inner demon may be hard but it’s fun also if u pay attention it’s literally the prequel fight to octoexpansion and the fight is the original battle between the agents back when agent 8 was working for octavio

That first 8 ball stage + one of the stages where you kill a bunch of octocopters were the most memorable for me
I spent ages on them only to press x and leave it like that for 5 years
Yesterday I went back cause I wanted to give inner agent 3 a go and I literally wanted to cry when I realised I hadn’t cleared the stages, glad I’m not 9 anymore otherwise my switch would be in 10,000 pieces 💀💀

When thinking about octo expansion and my 100% playthrough of it (using every weapon) first stages I remember are the one you need to break boxes to match the shape WITH A BLASTER (it was traumatic), girl power station, the one where you need to break boxes with a bamboozler while on rails and the strange one with cars

Gnarley rails station is my savior! S+!!! It was the only stage that was esay, quick, payed good, and was enjoyable when I was paying off my debt
You forgot to give bonuses for excellent jokes in the titles. Maverick Station is memorable just for the Top Gun joke.
beating every stage with every weapon, was surprisingly fun for me and MAAN it felt like a breath of release to beat inner agent 3
yet i still suck at ink jet.. even in splatoon 3-

I remember when I played with vasco when they were on a stream using the 52 gal. I played the entire stream. I thought I was so cool playing with a big UA-camr and then I’m like, wait they only have 10k subs. Either way it was still really fun

I remember I just finished hero mode and it was getting near my birthday, I got the dlc and omg I raged so hard when I realized the gold tooth pick was only if you passed every level first try without skipping

I’ve finished all the Stations with at least one weapon, many with all weapons (not Girl Power Station, I was lucky to have completed it at all)…and enjoyed nearly all of them and agree with the majority of your analysis. I didn’t play most of them until just recently as I wasn’t very good at Splatoon 2 when I first got it. Also, I haven’t beaten Inner Agent 3 yet.
I also finished Octo Canyon recently, same excuse…I gave up several years ago due to lack of skill. Like the Octo Expansion, I’ve completed much of it with multiple weapons…I think I’ve already earned five of the hero weapons…even weapons I consider myself weak with (e.g. charger and splatling). Sadly, they’re not as powerful in Turf War as they are in Octo Canyon.
I enjoyed Octo Canyon so much I am considering pulling my Wii U out of retirement to revisit the challenges it offered via the Amiibos.
WAIT THERE ARE 80 STAGES? it only took me 2 months to do 1000% all stages with all weapons zo choose of and the secret boss EVERYTHING in only 2 months

personally I think fun/enjoyment should be an important factor in ranking these stages, but cool ranking nonetheless!

House party and all eyez are my favorite stations, but it may just be my charger main bias

In too cool for school, at the last part, if instead of throwing a bomb you decide to shoot with the weapon, you get 75 free power eggs, I tried, and it was satisfying and worth it.

To explain the plugging in, you needed power for the elevator platform thing.
My favourite stage is the one that you have to use bombs and you have to find an actually at the end because I really like taking pictures.
