omg thank you! I needed someone who sees that Powerless ain't it! The stakes are below inexistent... Her being an Ordinary has no impact on anything. She should be in danger but she never is. And she's naive and bland. Also Kai is such a golden retriever 90% of the time and does nothing besides flirting with Pae. Does he even exist if she's not around? Enforcer who? Enforcer what?🙄
oh btw is the love interest's name spelt Ewan is the seven year slip? In which case it's pronounced 'you-en'. It's a scottish name, anglicised from the scottish gaelic Eòghann ☺️ loved this vlog as always✨
@@Xoxo_gaming5000 ooh that's interesting! in which case Iwan is a Welsh name pronounced iw-an with short vowels. Apparently it's the old Welsh equivalent of John.
"Shark Heart" by Emily Habeck was 5/5. I'm not a fan of romances but this was the perfect type of romance! And "Annie Bot" by Sierra Greer had me thinking for dayyyyyys!
powerless also didn’t work for me! honestly the idea of it was so interesting but it reads a little Y/A for me. and i’m over love triangles. But i understand why people loved it! omg i didn’t realize its so similar to the serpents of whatever whatever until you said it! i didn’t read the sequel bc i really didn’t like the first one so if anybody wants to spoil it for me it would be very appreciated
☕🌂❤ I absolutely loved a tempest of tea. It's a crime that the next book isn't out already but I shall excitedly wait patiently 😌 Imma make a prediction : the wolf is Matteo! Matteo at the beginning of the book : _every good love story starts with a bullet to the heart_ The book : literally ends with a bullet to the heart I just finished a 5⭐ read actually. Like right when this video uploaded. Spellbreaker by Charlie Holmberg. Book one of a duology and reading flew by so fast. I didnt even realise it. It was that good! Also random question : Do your cats not chew on your nails?
ooooo that's actually such a good prediction!! i was over here trying to work out who the wolf is, and idk why i never thought of him🤣 vin definitely tries to chew on my nails, but they're sturdy enough to withstand lmaooo
🍵 I have A Tempest Of Tea out from the library as I watch this. The cover just pulled me in and I was having really high hopes for it. Now that I saw you read it and love it I need to read this asap. I love Ashley Poston's Dead Romantics so much! I really hope you give that one a shot.
how similar is a tempest of tea is to soc tho?? cause so far it seems like soc (vampire version) and I need it to do its own thing and not follow the blueprint of a popular book 💀
I haven't had a 5 star read in a while. I do want to read the Tempest of Tea, need to go and buy the book so I can read it. I have started the Sever Year Slip thanks to you... 🍵🍵🍵
I just finished Heartsong by TJ Klune, the third book in the Green Creek series. I haven't read the fourth one yet, but that is a 5 star series for me. Perfect if you like cozy fantasy that still has some stakes.
So far in April i have found some 5 star reads Her too by bonnie kistler it's a thriller One summer in Savannah by terah shelton Harris this book had me hooked great read Divine rivals by rebecca ross Miss memory lane by colten Haynes memoir he's best known from the shows teen wolf and arrow Stars in your eyes kacen callender it's there first adult romance book just so brilliant
🫖 🍵 ☂️ 🌂 I love love love Hafsah Faizal (and her hubby! They’re so cute) and will read anything she comes out with. I found A Tempest of Tea a little slow in the beginning but UNPUTDOWNABLE by the end. I cannot wait for the second one to come out!
I feel like powerless had a great concept to it. The plot would have been better if it came through a more experienced author though. Like you said, I ended up liking Kai better than paedyn as she didn’t have enough character to her. The story felt unfinished and confusing in so many parts of it and I felt disappointed. Over all, I would give it 3.5 stars, maybe even a 4 considering I want to read reckless. Overall though, this was a fantastic video 💗💖🍵
❤❤❤ how do you rate a book? I mean I know how but lately I've been having such a hard time rating like when I'm done a book I'm like that was Great but I just can't rate it I hope that makes sense lol
Can’t be too criricle of a YA book especially when the reader isn’t really a young adult . I don’t think it’s fair lol. I have to remind myself many times while reading a YA that’s just what it is :)
Mel I could listen to you talk about books all day, you explain the plots SO well! Also you are just glowing ✨🫖
you're the sweetest??? omg🥹🫶🏻

LITERALLY😭 the most infuriating "hunger games" setup to a book...
and kai needs to go back home, he was too much😖
I enjoyed Powerless the same way I enjoy reality TV and that's the best way I can explain why I read it in one day hahaha x
LMAO why is that the perfect explanation though??🤣
Whew I'm currently reading Tempest of Tea and I'm looooooving this. More stoked to finish this now!
Omg I couldn’t stop looking at your makeup in the intro! Could you please do a makeup tutorial
i can definitely include it in a vlog🥹🫶🏻

it's spelled iwan!! i tried to pronounce it as close as my spanish tongue would allow to the videos i saw online😭
I also loved a Tempest of Tea 😍 It deserves more hype!!
it really does😭 i can't believe it came out and people haven't been all over it!
I really enjoyed this format of video ☺️ so cozy I was hoping it would never end

was the love triangle supposed to be with the brother? i've heard it's a dynamic in the book, but it was non-existent in what i read🤣🤣🤣
