Usually, realistically speaking I read anywhere from 10-100 pages in a regular day with everything else going on in my life, and adult responsibilities, so honestly I'm really impressed! I also loved Bride (though nope to the third act break up, the rest of the book was peak paranormal romance.) 🌕
One thing about thrive market though is that they’ll make it extremely hard to cancel your membership, I was going back and forth with a representative for so long before she finally let me cancel
If you've not read it before, another awesome cat book is "She and Her Cat" by 'Makoto Shinkai' and 'Naruki Nagakawa'! It's a collection of interlinking short stories about cats and their little lives with their owners, but it's sort of in the view point of the cats, and their views on their owners. It's also translated, so that's really cool, too!
Omg! MrsbutterD is everything! I love her artwork. I own most of what she has with DAC. Went as far as to get a few of her prints and coloring books. Can't wait to read Bride!✨️
🌙 I haven't read any of the books that you read in this video, but they all sound like I'd enjoy them. I'm currently reading Addicted to You by Krista & Becca Ritchie. At most I can probably read 200 pages in 24 hours like just a regular day where I'm busy or have to work unless it's like a graphic novel, then I can definitely read more
omg here you go: www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.1142908001.html it definitely gives skims, ngl👀 and they have even more colors in-store, so i'd highly recommend swinging by your nearest one (if you have any), cause i found some pink, green, and light blue ones last week!
🌕 I loved bride too!! I loved that misery wasn't instantly thirsting over a guy that she barely knew and who represented the execution of her people (even if she felt out of place with vampires). I eat up books with fast burn, but this one felt refreshing in the sense of portraying how a relationship doesn't have to be instant "I want to get into bed with him" to still be passionate and sometimes sexy I also loved the side plot, the side characters and the fact that the world building wasn't overly complex. I love when there's a big explanation to everything, but I feel like in this book it would feel out of place
omg yes!!! miss hazelwood executed the slow burn perfectly🧎🏻♀️ paranormal romances tend to be so quick with the "you're my mate, i love you, let's go at it," so it was definitely a breath of fresh air to see the characters be doubtful of each other, getting to know who they were outside of their respective species, and to see the bond form over time!
@@MelReads exactly! paranormal romances often forget that relationships between people with different species would not move as fast as an interspecies one. a vampire with another vampire? makes sense. they know each other's culture, they know things that only vampires would know and they understand what it's like to be one. vampire and werewolves are so outside of each other's culture and with, normally, such a harmful history between their species that there's taboos and stereotypes that would make the relationship develop in a difficult way
OMG Mel I love your kitchen updates. I cannot believe you have not heard nor seen "a man and his cat" before, but Im glad you have now 🥰🥰🥰 NOT A 4AM UPDATE BECAUSE YOU FELL ASLEEP 🤣🤣🤣🤣 🌙 I also want to read Bride
i love Ali Hazelwood books but unfortunately i dnf Bride because i didn't like the world building... I'm currently reading a romantasy The Winter King by C.L Wilson and I'm foaming at the mouth the slow burn is exquisite, i truly believe if it were to come out today it would be viral
This is totally random and not at all ment to be taken in a mean way but as a British person whenever someone uses a kettle but on the stove my brain gets so baffled like why just plug it in 😂
I believe the Man and His Cat also has a Netflix adaptation/movie adaptation. I'm about to read Divine Rivals and/or Alone with you in the Ether 🥹🥹🥹 I'm so excited
