You’ll feel much better in a few weeks! I’m 8 years out from a gastric sleeve. It probably saved my life. I’m 59 now and don’t regret it for a minute. 😊
I also had bariatric surgery end of Jul 2022. I had VSG. At my one-month mark, I was so excited to have soft food (i prepared steamed fish) I think I got overexcited and ate a bite of it too fast. My stomach did not like that at all. I felt like I was having a heart attack for an hour and then at the end of the hour, out came this frothy milk-like liquid, just continuously. It was very bizarre as I don't remember eating/drinking that much liquid at the time. lol sorry TMI. Long story short, when you do start eating, try to eat slowly and chew every bite thoroughly and swallow a little bit at a time. Congrats on your life-changing journey xoxoxo
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us Trina and I am so, so glad that things are getting better for you. I used to be a size 26 and weighed 21st 10lbs, I am now a size 12 and weigh 10st 6lbs and I can tell you that once you really start seeing the results in the mirror and your clothes size reducing - there will be absolutely NO regrets 😊 You will feel so much better about yourself and your health. You will physically be able to do more than before which will significantly improve your mental and emotional well being - as well as the physical side. I can't wait to see how well you will do. In the Q&A could you please touch on why you opted for the bypass surgery rather than going for the sleeve or the band? Sending you big hugs x
You look great! Healing always takes longer than we think it will, or at least getting our energy and strength back. I’ve wondered several times how you were doing, so I’m really glad to see an update.
Congratulations on staying positive in spite of not feeling your best yet. I'd appreciate you talking about changes in your hair, nails and skin as you go through your weight loss.
Great to see you are doing so well, Trina Louise. I have a question for you. I had gastric bypass surgery 13 years ago and lost over 11st in a year. I have since regained over 5st, and there is no option for revisional surgery to help me to lose the weight I have gained. Do you worry about re-gain. Are you being offered any help with the mental side of this, as I really do feel that this is not addressed, which is why so many people re-gain after gastric bypass surgery. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. xxx
Congratulations Trina!!! You're doing great I should be getting the surgery soon I am so excited. thank you for updating us there arent many vlogs about the Bypass surgery and its so good to see updates and walk along with you in the process
I just had my gastric bypass on 9/28! I stumbled upon your video and am so happy to hear someone has been feeling just like me during their first month. I am also focusing on the health aspect and not the number, and I feel like in a lot of the support groups it’s more about the numbers. I’m glad I found your channel and just subscribed so I can follow your journey!
Trina, Beautiful one! You are your own hero! I had the surgery in Feb. of 2012. I have lost 210 Lbs. I have known people who did well and some who did not do as well. Listen to your doctor. Questions?? Ask them. One bite more can and will hurt you. You got this! What Suzie does will not work on Mary. Protein means you keep your hair, grow fingernails, AND have brain cells. Most doctors in the states have groups that meet for support. IF that last bite is so important... wrap it and come back when you have space. Sometimes brain hunger never tastes the same OR is really worth it. Trina is not GG, and GG is not Mary. Did you start your journey about you or someone you do not know. Love yourself and care for yourself.
You are doing amazing and are so brave keep up the great work 👏 🙌 💪 👍 XOXO ❤️ my daughter had the same surgery 18 months ago and dropped 10 stone she had just had a mummy makeover and looks amazing so it can be done ✔️ don't give up it will all work out for the best, it's a difficult journey and you've came through the worst so it's onwards and upwards and never look back, you're future is very bright, much love and admiration to you ❤️ XOXO
I had another stumac surgery. I hated the liquid food stage for shure! Been nausy, yes. Low energie, yes. But now way better. I lost 15 kilo. But was not the goal. Just needed stumac repares. I had a Lab Nissen surgery Smaller portions here too Thank you for keeping us posted XXX hugs
Very well done lovely lady … also remember that your energy levels- as you most likely realise- are going to be affected by the fact that you’ve had general anaesthetic . You’re looking glowing as usual. I wish you all the luck with this journey to feeling healthier!… you deserve the best from life !
I've lost 6 stone previously, I didn't have an op but wanted to point out how much of a mental journey it is aswell. It took a long time for my brain to adjust as I was losing weight. Its hard to explain I guess😂. I hope you start to feel the benefits, it is very brave admiting you need a bit of help to lose some weight and especially to share it with is all. Anyway, I think you're great x
My dear Trina-Louise, Thank you for making the video and sharing your operation and after effects with us. Bless you, your looking very good and hope you soon feel better. Take care, love from Franx
About how many calories are you aiming for each day? I can't imagine it's easy getting all the calories and nutrition you need in such small portions! Thank you for posting and sharing your journey with everyone -- it's so helpful for those who are thinking of going through gastric bypass (or already have) and for those who have friends/family who have gone through it.
I had the lap band done 9 years ago and I heard the diets are pretty much the same post-op with all of the procedures. Doctor wanted me to stay between 800-900 calories a day. I was lucky to get in 600 the first month.
I am happy to see your face! Your skin looks amazing! I am glad you are progressing well and finding what works for you. I am on a journey with Ozempic and experiencing the EXACT same issues (gas, inability to eat, constipation, and sick feeling if I eat too much) and it makes me feel not as alone to have a 'friend' out there experiencing some of the same.
Trina thank you for sharing your journey with us. You have been so kind and forthcoming and brave. I thought about having the surgery and just couldn’t get myself to commit. Way to go. I look forward to all your videos.
Good luck with your recovery. You need the protein to heal. Sounds quite challenging but it will only get better with time. Well worth the effort as this will vastly improve your lifespan. I need to loose a lot of weight myself and struggling to get started. Am pre diabetic so really need to get my head together. Let myself go and now a size 22 from my usual 14. Quite a shock and don't recognise myself. Awful having weight issues as can really affect self esteem.
I think you are so brave to do this and to put it out here so that we can all celebrate with you! I would like to suggest watching Alexandra Rodriguez on UA-cam. She had this done about 6 or 7 months ago. She has a great attitude and is very upfront about everything, just like you! Take care and see you soon!
I completely agree with you on Trina being brave and so proud of her for sharing! I do however have to respectfully disagree with Alexandra being a good example for her to watch. Her surgery was actually around a year ago now, I think it was done in November if I’m not wrong? I used to watch her quite a lot, and it seems like she doesn’t necessarily have the best food choices post-op. I feel like she’s showed a lot of hacks/trying to make a cheat meal into a bariatric version of it. But just because something is low in fat or sugar free doesn’t mean it is low calorie. And seemingly there’s a couple of hundred calories of creamer and syrup in her coffee alone. She obviously doesn’t show everything she’s eating, but to me it seems like she’s trying her hardest to eat how she did before surgery when in reality this surgery is life altering. It’s absolutely none of my business what she eats, as she should eat what she sees fit, but I also don’t think that what she’s eating is a good example to follow with her being a very public person. I don’t think she deserves all the hate she gets every now and then, and wishing her all the best for the future though.
I had a small health journey last year and the numbers on the scale correlated to how much better I was feeling. I also did start off purely for health reasons, and did get caught up in the numbers. However, that did teach me what numbers I feel my best at and the effect my weight has on my health.
Before I ask my question I think you are doing a marvellous job and thank you for taking us on your journey with you. How do you feel about all the excessive skin you may get after such a big weight loss. Loving your channel you are a inspiration. Xx
Great to hear you are feeling a bit stronger and better at least. I had mine done 12 years ago but unfortunately it didn't work well for me. I do get the dumping syndrome quite a bit still. You are doing brilliantly well. I wish you loads of luck, Trina. Xxx
I’m also 12 years post bypass. Initially lost 14st 7lb. Was ok for the first 18 months then my health declined. Was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and Essential tremor. I’m lactose intolerant and forever anemic with low calcium levels. I’ve re gained 7st 😢 I had a barium swallow again this week but there’s no blockages (I’m always vomiting) they think I’ve got Gastroparesis unfortunately my surgeon told me this two days ago this is my way of life going forward. 😢 I’m really struggling health wise, mobility wise and mentally 😭 When I lost the weight the mirror image was a big problem for me. I couldn’t recognise the person staring back at me. Not only did I lose weight, I lost a long term relationship AND I lost my identity 😢 The brain can be a cruel thing. I don’t feel there was enough support in April 2010 when I had mine.. No aftercare. I had to join groups on social media to find like minded people who’d gone through the same. People think it’s the easy way out but it’s far from it. It’s life changing. I’m finding it hard to accept that the way I am is how I’m going to have to live which makes my mental health worse. I can’t keep much down. I have severe bloating, fatigue, abdominal pains, dehydration. Basically I’m a lost cause 🫣 x
Hello. I'm interested to know how you even start to arrange surgery. Does your doctor refer you? Is it NHS or if you have to pay, how much is it. Are there follow ups you need to attend? If so, how long do they go on? Thanks for doing these videos. They're very interesting.
If you want to go the NHS route you need to speak to your GP, but be warned there's 4 different phases you have to go through including weight loss groups, medications etc. Before you'll even get an appointment to discuss surgery. I had already done phase 1-3 and was still told it's a 4-6 year wait list. You can pay privately, this is usually around £9-15k here in the UK. Or £3-5k abroad ☺️
I literally got diagnosed with PCOS on Saturday morning. I went to the doctors today and boy did I get a good one. They prescribed me with Metformin, Orlistat and a cream to help with facial hair. I was like can take Metformin and Orlistat together, "yes". 🤣 They also now referred me to Tier 3 Weight Management (pending approval). My weight has been an issue for years even though I'm very active. I look forward to the outcome.
@@zoerobinson9897 wow, that's a long waiting list after already doing the other things. I've been looking at overeaters anonymous. I just can't find. Groups in my area. Hope it all works out for you xxx
I know what you mean when you say your friend asked if you were feeling better in yourself after losing weight and not really being able to give an answer. I've just reached 44lb loss and it didn't really hit me untill I reached down to pick something off the floor yesterday. I suddenly realised I hadn't had to bend my knees; I was bent over and able to touch my toes. i did a happy dance round the kitchen. its the small things that will have the biggest impact. needing smaller undies just didnt do it for me lol. keep at it and good luck xx
Your body does sceam for the nutrians you need. Also my experience I had a lot of noises BEFORE surgery. Like a toad in your stumac. Gas will get better Trina-Louise I had problems with my bowl system in the begining too. Will get better also.
As someone who is going through this too… don’t focus on the number on the scale focus on the inches lost… the number on the scale can and will fluctuate and can and will plateau… when I had the surgery in June the antibiotic they gave me in surgery caused me to get C-Diff…. 4 months later 2 rounds of antibiotics later I’m still fighting it😢
Question for Q & A How will you get the nutrients your body needs? Were there any requirements you had to meet to be approved for the surgery? Will you be keeping your clothes? Are there any risks or complications years later from this type of surgery? Thank you for sharing your story and for the updates.
Well done, it’s so worth it. (Speaking from experience) Try not to eat too many carbs as they are empty calories and fill you up and then there is the danger of not getting enough protein and fats in your body because you are full on carbs. XX 🥰💖🌈
I never done a pre op diet, probably because i wasnt big enough at 95kg i dont know. Flew out to Turkey for my gastric bypass. It was more to reverse diabetes than to lose weight, I started off at 95kg, after having my child at 105kg I was dieting. But I went for the surgery anyways, I've lost 13kg first month. The diabetes came about during my final trimester, shocking really and after birth didn't go away. Having the surgery isn't a quick fix, I'm 65kg and goal is 50kg. I am on keto and intermittent fasting. If this was a magic surgery and over night u can lose weight easily everybody would do it. It takes motivation and will power with diet and exercise. Tbh I do regret having it, if I'm going to diet and exercise regardless of the surgery, and they say after 2yrs u can go back to eating full meals and bad habits slide through. This is way life change must take place like therapy and how to control emotional eating. Well done

I appreciate your vulnerability. I am hoping to have surgery soon.
Really adoring this series and hearing your journey. It’s so personal and so brave to share, will do such good and make so many feel much less alone, you look incredible. A red lip is incredible on you 😍💛 You are remarkable, not watched video yet but just love this series so have to comment and like early just so you know! 💛 Question: How are you doing? How’s your mind, body and emotions feeling now lovely!
Hiya. Thank you for sharing your unique experience. So I had a view thoughts while watching, that I will try to put into words: - do you think you would get the same results if you hadn’t had the operation, but just followed the diet? Because it sounds to me that it is mostly the extreme restrictions in portions and options of food that caused the weight loss, and not necessarily the surgery? Of course the long term will be different, but it was just a thought. - this will be for further down the line, but will you be allowed to have an operation to remove the excess skin? Like I can imagine that your belly, where you were holding a lot of your weight, will have skin still “hanging” for lack of other words, obstructing “free” movement. I’m very interested in your thoughts on how you will deal with that? (I think you are doing amazing, and thank you for showing me what it is like)
Yes! Our bodies are so noisy lol. Especially when I have protein, my body makes loads of noises, everyone that knows me just laughs. Unfortunately my gas is in the form of flatulence/wind if I have beans or a little too much sugar, I wish it was just in the form of burps lol, and I'm 9 years out, so I can't tell you that it goes away after a few month or even a few years. You're doing great Trina!!
I’m interested to know about some of the health consequences that motivated you to start this? And if you’re willing to share were there mental health consequences your wanted to address also? Thanks so much for sharing your experience!! So proud and excited for you and this journey.
Its so hard and not the easy route for weight loss so anyone thinking of this surgery try first with all your might to follow a calorie controlled diet and exercise programme . I lost 8 stone in a year and it wasnt as tough as this to be honest . Thanks for sharing your journey its very helpful to others thinking of taking this extreme step . My question is in the future can you enjoy a meal out ? and how do you stop loosing weight ? What do the medical team say about loosing weight so quickly with by products of fast weight loss comes excess salts stored in the gallbladder that can cause gall stones ? good luck Trina on the rest of your journey, things will get easier xxx
Hello Beautiful Trinia! Trina you are helping so many people get healthy. First, Protein helps to keep your hair from falling out and your fingernails growing. Also! keep your brain cells healthy; we all need a healthy brain. Lack of protein can give you many problems. Your vitamins and protein help to make you into the lovely being you are. I had my surgery in 2012. As we are all different, so is how we handle the surgery. We all "hear" friends of friends who did well even though they did not follow the rules. TV makes WLS look so easy. Within an hour, you find a doctor, get "The Surgery," lose 200 or 300 LBs, cut off the excess skin, and Boy oh Boy, your life too can be perfect. 🤣🤣It is indeed an extraordinary adventure to get healthy. I had a friend who got so upset I was not going to get the skin removed she stopped speaking to me.
Feeling sick but not like you're going to be sick is classic nausea. Lots of people get it for a variety of reasons, I had it when pregnant. It sounds like it's all just part and parcel of having a major op like you have had. Remember, you've drastically changed your anatomy so it won't be an easy ride. But I'm sure it will be worth it long term
Texture in food is a huge thing for me as well so I would struggle a lot with liquid and pureed food too. If the taste is good but the texture isn't right I just can't eat it. I do love soup though. The 5 weeks I did some reno on my house before I moved in, I didn't have the energy to cook and I basically survived on soup for 5 weeks.
First off congratulations on making the decision for yourself and for your own health I wish you all the best for the future. The one question I can’t really get my head around is do you keep on losing weight all the time and if and when you hit your target weight what happens then how do you maintain the weight that you are and not keep losing? I I thought long and hard about weight loss surgery for myself and I’m still undecided.
thank you for sharing. I am finding your videos really interesting and insightful. Question - did you have your surgery through the nhs or did you pay privately? thank you!
Hello lovely! So happy to hear that things are going well for you. I've been looking forward to this update video since subscribing a few weeks ago :) Just wondering, have you experienced any difficulties with dehydration over the first few weeks? Also, what kind of follow ups are you having with nurses and dietician? Good luck!!! 😊✨
Thank you so much for sharing with us, glad you’re doing ok. I’m considering surgery but am scared. I use food as a crutch when I’m happy or sad and I worry about how I’d cope without that or about transfer addiction. Will you share who did your surgery please and any groups that are useful to join. Lastly could you have gone this alone if Adam hadn’t been around? This is another thing that worries me. Thanks Trina x
Hi Trina, I love your name and you look gorgeous btw... I am on the waiting list to be seen to see if I can have surgery as my weight just doesnt shift at all... any advice for a first appointment and an overthinker? x
I'm not sure if you have tried it before, but that queasy feeling can sometimes be helped by ginger. I used to get really queasy at the thought of food when pregnant and found that lemon & ginger tea or fresh/frozen ginger steeped in hot water often helped me get past the queasiness so I could eat. Could it be worth a try?
I have followed you for ages and think what you are doing is amazing. I am having WLS next year mostly because of how unhealthy I feel and wanting to be around for my kids. I have a couple of questions! How did you finance this? Did you go private and if so how much did it cost? How did you decide between a sleeve and a bypass? Thanks!
Hi my love, you look really good but I know that you’re struggling with the food issues, but did they tell you that you had to go through all those different food stages so that you were aware of what you needed to do like I’ve mentioned before my son had the surgery and he lost over 300 pounds and has maintained it now for almost 2 years and I’m they went over everything with him before the surgery and stuff that he knew what he was getting into. I was just a little bit kind of wondering that you know did they go through all that with you said that you knew and that you were already aware of the type of foods that you would have to go through the stages but you look really good and I’m so glad that you’re going to include your weight loss over the months. Lotta other UA-camrs that have had the surgery they seem like they don’t include like how much weight that lost over the months? I don’t know why, but I have not yet seen one other UA-camr mention how much weight they have lost, but very proud of you. Very happy for you. Hugs and kisses honey from Chicago.❤️💐🎃
My reason for surgery is a bit different, not specifically for the weight more for hiatal hernia and severe acid reflux/Barrett's esophagus. It's getting so bad, I'm worried about cancer. Right now and for the last 2 months, I'm terrified to eat because the vomiting while sitting and doing nothing is getting ridiculous. But I'm still on the fence about surgery because I know you can become malnourished. Hearing you talk about protein, I feel I'm going to drinking eggs. I'm terrified to have the surgery because I ❤️ water. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Can't say it enough. I drink almost 4 liters of water a day (a bit over gallon for the non metric) and I'm afraid I won't be able to drink the same amount of water. Can you give me let me know about the water intake? I know some people struggle with water and I don't know if it's because water is hard for people to drink normally or if the body won't allow it. With the queasy feeling I wonder if they'd give you an anti emetic. I know I had horrible morning sickness when I was pregnant but I had all day sickness when I smelled other people eating.
I’m 3 weeks post op. I had a massive hiatal hernia repair with bypass. The relief from getting that fixed alone has been absolutely incredible! I’ve had no problem taking in water as much as I want. I can’t “chug” like I normally did, but def no issues taking in water
@@kristijoi6087 I'm glad to hear you had relief from the hernia repair. I had an ultrasound today and couldn't drink for 8 hours. As soon as the test was over, I drank a 1.5 liter bottle of water in about 25 minutes. I can't chug it these days neither because it gives me acid reflux. I wish people understood gastric bypass isn't just for weight and weight isn't just about eating. Weight gain comes from depression meds and antipsychotics and a failing kidney or liver can cause havoc with weight gain. I've not a typical gastric bypass candidate but I have no other choice. I can't even run anymore because it cause severe acid reflux and I vomit. I wish you much luck in your journey. The important thing is that you are happy with you. And make sure you find something you love doing and enjoy it to the fullest.
How are you now? I’m considering intravenous vitamins & top-up hydration in first month or so. There’s a business locally that provides this service. Nurses come to your house to give you supplements intravenously.
I'm late to the video so I'm not sure if it has already been asked yet, but when you were taking painkillers, were they just tablets we'd all usually take or do they have to be soluble for you now?
I completed the paperwork and the the doctor office called today and told me my copayment for me after the insurance is 4800 so I’m unable to do it right now which sucks. I was just wondering if anyone knows what I should do
I had mine done in Turkey (Dr HE Clinic) i paid around 4000 USD for the operation , medication, aftercare and hotel stay included. airtickets not included
Hiya. Thank you for sharing your unique experience. So I had a view thoughts while watching, that I will try to put into words: - do you think you would get the same results if you hadn’t had the operation, but just followed the diet? I have bypass surgery in 2 days. Thank you for detailing your journey, it’s answered a lot of questions. In the US 64 oz. Of water daily is very important after surgery. I’ve heard many ppl say the main struggle was water intake to equal that amount. Was it hard for you to get water in? Also, 60g of protein daily here and no starch such as pasta, bread, potatoes is mandatory. How did you get your protein in daily?
Hey Trina, I am one year post op, I have a few protein suggestions for you; cottage cheese and milk that is higher in protein that you can use to make puddings or cream of wheat; those were my go tos early on! Keep up the great work, I can tell you it does get easier with time. You are doing awesome, you got this girl!
Whole Foods are amazing for you on their own but combined with your surgery (safely skin peeled) you will drop the weight safely and not so fast that it’s unsustainable. I was a whole plant based food girlie before I was hospitalized last year with Covid for almost the whole year. Hospital food and moms food are completely unhealthy. I’ve managed to sustain a vegetarian lifestyle for the last year but haven’t gone back to whole foods yet. You’re such an inspiration and I’ve loved you and your family from the moment your channel was suggested! Best of luck to you! Would love to see your diet food in stages. Keep rocking it girl!!! ❤🎉❤
I have had many people tell me to use the scale as a metric. It should only be used to tell your doctor the number. Keep a record of clothing sizes, improvement of physical attributes like this week I walked 5 minutes extra each day. Celebrate the non-scale victories like I was able to walk up the stairs without getting winded. It is tough to be open and honest about weight loss without trolls being against you. I look forward to seeing all of the great things in the future.
My surgery is on Thursday and the liquid diet has been the absolute worst for me. I wasn't adverse to protein shakes before I started the liquid diet, but all my favorites are now so difficult to get down. I am surprised that I haven't been as heated emotionally as everyone thought I would be. I'm not hungry at all and that is a bit worrying.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us and being so open. For me, food is very intertwined with my emotions, and I use food as a coping strategy when I am overwhelmed with difficult feelings. When I try to lose weight that really hits home, because I realize that without being able to “eat my feelings” I do not have other ways to cope emotionally. I have also felt like parting with emotional eating is like losing my best friend. I don’t know if you were or are an emotional eater like me, but I would like to know how you are coping emotionally now that food has become less appealing physically?
I found the foods I craved changed post surgery as an example i don't eat beef in any way shape or form and all I craved was beef , does your plan follow the 20/20/20 rule ? That was the worst but I still do it 8 years later where you cannot drink 20 minutes before or after eating , chew 20 times and stop eating after 20 minutes , but you sound like your doing really well for being 4 weeks post op looking forward to following the rest of your journey x
Yayyy I've been patiently waiting!! Lol I go tomorrow 10/06 , I'm nervous, excited, all the above! Your video came at the perfect time 💝💃🏾🤗
You look great! Healing always takes longer than we think it will, or at least getting our energy and strength back.
I’ve wondered several times how you were doing, so I’m really glad to see an update.
Thank you for doing this, I’m 11 months post op and I would have loved having more videos like this to watch!
I had a Lab Nissen surgery
Smaller portions here too
Thank you for keeping us posted XXX hugs
Very well done lovely lady … also remember that your energy levels- as you most likely realise- are going to be affected by the fact that you’ve had general anaesthetic . You’re looking glowing as usual. I wish you all the luck with this journey to feeling healthier!… you deserve the best from life !
Thank you for this, I am on the waiting list currently met my dietitian and surgeon on Friday these videos help
I’m really enjoying these videos, I’m preparing for surgery in January. It’s nice to be able to relate to someone who has so recently gone through it!
Thank you for being so open and well done for getting through the first 6 weeks. I think you are doing absolutely amazing 👏 ❤
Hi Trina, love your videos! You've inspired me to document my Gastric Sleeve Journey here on UA-cam too! Thank you for being so inspirational!
I’ve re gained 7st 😢
I had a barium swallow again this week but there’s no blockages (I’m always vomiting) they think I’ve got Gastroparesis unfortunately my surgeon told me this two days ago this is my way of life going forward. 😢
I’m really struggling health wise, mobility wise and mentally 😭
When I lost the weight the mirror image was a big problem for me. I couldn’t recognise the person staring back at me.
Not only did I lose weight, I lost a long term relationship AND I lost my identity 😢
The brain can be a cruel thing.
@@karengreen6099 I so understand. If you want to talk at all please get in touch xx
You’re doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work and I hope you have a full healthy recovery ❤
Your body does sceam for the nutrians you need.
Also my experience
I had a lot of noises BEFORE surgery.
Like a toad in your stumac.
Gas will get better Trina-Louise
I had problems with my bowl system in the begining too.
Will get better also.
Your wonderful Trina and so honest. Enjoyed video so much. Wishing you all the best going forward. Xxx
As someone who is going through this too… don’t focus on the number on the scale focus on the inches lost… the number on the scale can and will fluctuate and can and will plateau… when I had the surgery in June the antibiotic they gave me in surgery caused me to get C-Diff…. 4 months later 2 rounds of antibiotics later I’m still fighting it😢
Question for Q & A
How will you get the nutrients your body needs? Were there any requirements you had to meet to be approved for the surgery? Will you be keeping your clothes? Are there any risks or complications years later from this type of surgery?
Thank you for sharing your story and for the updates.
Wheatbix sounds good, hard to find in US. Considering sleeeve surgery hard first appointment last Wed. Going to document my entire journey to.
Question: How are you doing? How’s your mind, body and emotions feeling now lovely!
Hiya. Thank you for sharing your unique experience.
So I had a view thoughts while watching, that I will try to put into words:
- do you think you would get the same results if you hadn’t had the operation, but just followed the diet?
Amazing well done. Thank you so much for sharing your journey
Thank you dear, I find this very interesting. Looking forward to following you on your journey. Have a great week.
That’s shocking 😮 About your friend.
I love listening to you Trina
Trina you are looking so well. Great video. 🥰
I just had mine done this past Friday and I'm struggling with the full liquid diet. 😩
Question - did you have your surgery through the nhs or did you pay privately? thank you!
So brave of you putting it out there, I had mine done last year and have lost 14 stone already! Keep going hunni your doing great xx
You are doing amazing keep.it up.xx
Your looking awesome. Good luck proud of you.
Thank you Trina x
Also, have you craved sugar and sweets since surgery? Did you eat much sweets before surgery?
So pleased for you
I have followed you for ages and think what you are doing is amazing. I am having WLS next year mostly because of how unhealthy I feel and wanting to be around for my kids. I have a couple of questions! How did you finance this? Did you go private and if so how much did it cost? How did you decide between a sleeve and a bypass? Thanks!
Appreciate your experience. Did you get to start vitamins? Also would you share your recipe for shepherds pie please?
Try some peanut butter (if you can have it in your new way!) on the apple, added protein! 😊 xxx
Hi. What made you choose Bypass surgery rather than a sleeve?
Can u eat much and how much do u eat? Can u do a video of ur typical size meal
Thank you for sharing
I am 1 month post op and I feel so miserable. Dizzy, weak, nauseous, getting sick a lot. I am trying so hard but I feel so terrible :(
How are you now? I’m considering intravenous vitamins & top-up hydration in first month or so. There’s a business locally that provides this service. Nurses come to your house to give you supplements intravenously.
@cafedeflore I know it's been a year but how do you feel?
Hi Trina! I must know what brand your lipstick is. Looks like a perfect red ❤. Brand and colour ❤. Thanks
Any tips how you handle negative thoughts the day of your surgery I’m so scared
How are you now?
I would have to do the same thing with food instead of the blender! That would gross me out soooooo bad.
Did you get the surgery on the NHS? If you did, did you have to wait a long time? What was the process like?
I've got surgery in a couple weeks and I hate all protien products to ughhh
After surgery pain management
You are doing amazing 🤩 keep going love and get to a heathy you what ever number that may be xxxx
I'm late to the video so I'm not sure if it has already been asked yet, but when you were taking painkillers, were they just tablets we'd all usually take or do they have to be soluble for you now?
Do you miss anything since the surgery?
which hospital did you go to ? and who was your surgeon
What type of surgery did you have? Sleeve or bipass?
The title of the video mentions her surgery.
You should measure yourself as the inches drop aswell
Head hunger??
😊xx

I have bypass surgery in 2 days. Thank you for detailing your journey, it’s answered a lot of questions. In the US 64 oz. Of water daily is very important after surgery. I’ve heard many ppl say the main struggle was water intake to equal that amount. Was it hard for you to get water in? Also, 60g of protein daily here and no starch such as pasta, bread, potatoes is mandatory. How did you get your protein in daily?
I have bypass surgery on the 27th of this month. Best of luck 🤞🏽 to you!
@@kristiblue best of luck to you as well! I hope you’re recovering good!
Im due to have the surgery on NHS and im Diary free So im supper worried and hate the consitant of anything liquid.
Thank you for sharing. Question for the Q&A do you not feel thirsty due to not being able to take in as much fluid? How much can you drink?
Did you have the gastric sleeve or the rhyny
Hi Dorothy, I had a roux en y gastric bypass x
