I run on a beautiful rural road in New Hampshire and every time I do I get bummed out by the amount of litter and trash. I always say to myself that I should pick it up and I will get it next weekend. I watched this video on resistance and went up to the road with some trash bags. I got three huge trash bags of litter within 100 yards of both sides of the road and I felt better that I did it. If we cannot do the simple things, how will we do the hard things?

I can relate to your feelings about seeing trash in nature. I live in a town that’s on the bay in California and we have a peninsula where people can park and look at the water. And honestly, you can see that some people just open their car door and put a bag of fast food garbage right on the asphalt instead of walking a few steps to the nearby garbage can.

"Do nothing that is of no use".
I first saw this quote and thought of it as some colossal herculean endeavor.
How do I remain productive all day?
But then I flipped it and began to eliminate all the non-productive endulgences like completely cutting out streaming services, stop playing video games, removing all social media but you tube. I replaced the new found time with reading, yoga, sudoku, doing research and starting an investment portfolio.
It's been months now and I no longer miss the things I've removed. I feel lighter, much more productive, and have earned a sense of purpose.

This pops up on my feed, right after I was telling myself the same thing earlier. I am the one that's up against myself. I say I'm gonna do this tomorrow, tomorrow comes and I still don't do it. A part of me wants to do the thing, but the other part says "we have to do this first" and it's a constant battle with myself. And now 2 yrs later I still haven't started my own channel. But I think this is the sign I needed to see and hear. Thank you.

I have never seen Steven Pressfield but I loved reading through his book "The Warrior Ethos". After watching this video I feel like I got this education early in life but it has taken years to really develop. The little engine that could, The Lorax, Horton hears a who, Rainbow Fish, etc. There is something funny when I put the thought together: Take it day by day, but live like there is no tomorrow. Thank you for this content. I'm gonna go get some steps in now....With my HOKAs :)

Ryan holiday how to get through resistance
    1. Resistance: Resistance is a negative force that is trying to prevent you from doing what you set out to do.
    2. Be Disciplined: The only way to get through resistance is through work. And that is what discipline is; you have to be disciplined and get through the task even when you feel resistance.
    3. Work without attachment: Get into a “flow state”, where you’re completely present, focused on the task at hand, and not worried about potential outcomes in the future or worried about the past
    4. Don’t try to be perfect: focus on showing up day to day and doing what you can do today because step by step, you’ll achieve your end result.
    5. Hour 4: You have to keep push even when the beginning phase of a project/task is hard because you’ll eventually have a break through in the project.
    6. Say No: the Resistance wants you to be distracted and say yes to everything else but what you’re supposed to do. Say no to the things that aren’t aligned with your goals
    7. Focus on the essential: Focus on your calling and do that work first. Don’t let in distractions.
    8. Take it step by step: Stick to the process. Action by action, step by step, you’ll make progress towards your goal.
    9. Let fear Guide you: Don’t let fear stop you from achieving your goals. Lean into the fear and do it anyways.
    10. You may not get tomorrow: Take advantage of this moment now because it’s our time is it guaranteed. We don’t control how much time we have but we control how you use it. Carpe Diem

I have a question. I'm curious about something..
In case of manifestation, I have to do some manifestation technique like visualization, vision board etc. (I have to imagine everything my dream career / house / car etc. )
But, in the law of detachment we have to forget what we want ? Otherwise it'll show up like I'm chasing my dreams? / goals?? Which I can't find link between these two technique.
    I don't understand this part.
Can you please explain / make a video to get to know clearly about manifestation and law of detachment.

    • @ShondaD_
      @ShondaD_ Місяць тому +2

Interesting, I'm curious to know that as well. I thought that the law of detachment is when we must let go of, for example, the past or past experiences that hinder us, in order to manifest the things we truly want. But yeah, that would be a good video to see.

I think resistance is simply our animalistic part that holds us back even if we love to do the thing we're being held back from b/c WE-want it. Not our physical (3d)/animalistic body. It tries to collect (survive) energy not spend it by doing stuff!
