If a snake was starving to the point where it’s emaciated, I don’t believe force feeding will do anything. Your question is so broad.! I know your intentions. Will I starve a snake? Depends if it’s a tactic maybe a day 2 or three to get it a little more hungry and eat. We can talk scenarios all day.
@@Angry_Hogs I am coming off IG and people making post how you will not assist feed and you will let your snake die. I have gone to bat for you - because I feel you care for your animals and you would never just let a snake die without trying to everything possible for that animal. I feel like your main intentions were to say check your husbandry to see if this may be why your snake is not eating, That it is very stressful for the animal to be assist fed . Then there are runts that are failure to thrive and nothing you can do in that case. But I dont think you are saying NEVER assist feed if it is necessary and the snake can live. Thats what i wanted you to clarify. You have seen what they are saying on IG. People are confused -including myself until your 2nd vid you made. A little less confusing.
Two things people should know before getting a hognose: 1. How to get them off when they mistake you for food. 2. That they're likely gonna have at least one hunger strike as they grow. No need to panic! They will eat again.
Couldn’t agree more!! Well said. Leaving hognose alone is a point I forgot to make. As you said, it’s not uncommon for them to go off feed and most people will impose force feeding when it’s not even a big deal.
I do not agree with this. The most expierienced people like JMG and Avery have saved many babies with assist feeding. Letting these babies die because they don't eat is not the way for me personally.
That’s great that they saved lives, that’s what responsible keepers need to do for their animals, I also agree with not letting your animals die. I just don’t think force feeding is the best option
Thanks Heather :) most of the babies are now available to go. I have an online store in morphmarket that i am slowly uploading them as they become ready. And if you really want an albino from me, i have more eggs hatching any day now.

I disagree with this
You can be more elaborate if you want. If not that’s fine too.
