The more videos I watch I become more fascinated with Paris. So many beautiful churches with such unique architectural design. Always something new to see. Love it Jay!!!
That was full of much Plaisances! Also, the music was very danceable. I may have bopped around the kitchen a bit waiting for my coffee to brew this AM. 😊
I often just stare at the masks you have because I think they look so comfortable. I like to sew, so I spend a lot of time trying to think of how to make them myself haha. The one you have at the beginning is my favorite.
I've come to realize just how well we've covered Paris in our ten trips there because this was the first time so far you've explored an area we've been near, or cut through, but haven't stopped at and you've given us so many new things to explore on the next trip with this one! Thanks, man!
I live 3 blocks from the small wooden bridge, and I pass under it everyday on the bike lane to go to and from work, and I’ve never seen the inside of the church ! 😄Thanks for this discovery.
Loving these ventures of yours outside of touristy Paris. Such a great idea - it really seems like you are enjoying exploring as well and either revisiting areas you haven’t been to in a while or finding new favorites. Thank you for sharing! ☺️
Near-perfect convergence of accounts I follow to get a daily Paris fix: you and Paris Adèle on FB. I’ll have to check her album again to see if you show up in any of her pix, starting at the Art Deco-style Metro station of Pernety! At 13:44, you show the hearts and flowers-adorned gate of the former home of Alexandre Mezei, a Hungarian artist. And Adèle was in that beautiful church, too. Those pipe organ horizontal trumpets in your video gave me chills! In the garden, I think you were among a bunch of abelia plants - very bee-friendly! Thank you (and Adèle) for taking me through this quarter of Paris’s 14th today!
Thanks for the pleasant tour Jay. I'm really enjoying the exploration of the different churches. Paris in autumn, sigh, while here I have day after day of endless sunshine. Love from central California. Cheers! 😎
Totally different architecture in this arrondissement. It’s like you are not in Paris. When you walked down that one street, I thought it was prettier than Rue Cremieux and then you said it 😂.
This series is about to become one of my favorite things on youtube! I'd never even try to guess some of these places exist and they are awesome?! Paris is indeed an amazing city. Thanks for doing such great work, Jay!
I am really enjoying the 80 in 8 series. Thanks for giving us a chance to explore Paris. I had plans to stay in Paris for a two weeks this year, but alas due to the current situation this has to wait. Thanks to your videos I have a lot more to see next time I am there :)
Learn something new on my morning stroll in Paris! France’s nickname, Hexagon! Very cool! I feel like Baby Yoda sipping tea and observing all things new. Sigh. And yet people are jogging and doing HITT exercises so now I must run! Thanks Jay! It’s warm in Washington, DC, too! 🌤😅
I lived in the 14e when I was a student and never knew about Plaisance! I now know where I wanna live in Paris- Rue des Thermopyles. Ah well I can dream lol.
Went to Montparnasse one day randomly (not a big fan BTW) but started wandering around and found Petite Ceinture. That was super cool. Loved the little streets and small houses. It's a sweet little neighborhood. The rest of it was kinda... meh. Thank you soooo much for doing these Jay!
We had it all today! Cute dog, pretty streets, a cool church and music you haven't used in a while. Oh and was that a Monsters Inc reference there at the little park's name? 😊
Omg, loving le 14 arrondissement, I wish I could walk on rue des Thermopyles, I didn't make it there yet. The place Séoul looks gorgeous, is it art deco inspired? Great walk again, merci
I first met the "France is a hexagon" when reading the English philosopher J. L. Austin who used the statement to explore what we mean by truth. He wrote: "Suppose that we confront “France is hexagonal” with the facts, in this case, I suppose, with France, is it true or false? Well, if you like, up to a point; of course I can see what you mean by saying that it is true for certain intents and purposes. It is good enough for a top-ranking general, perhaps, but not for a geographer… How can one answer this question, whether it is true or false that France is hexagonal? It is just rough, and that is the right and final answer to the question of the relation of “France is hexagonal” to France. It is a rough description; it is not a true or a false one. " As this was written in the late 1950s it must have been reasonably well known at the time.

Love the shoutout to Grandma Jane!

Thank you for liking my masks. :)

Place de Seoul was so unexpected and Rue des Thermopyles is SO charming. Thanks!

I love how excited you were about the bridge ☺️☺️
Haha - it had to be crossed ;D
Once quarantine is lifted I can't wait to visit Paris again! Got lots of new places and ideas from these videos too!

Glad you like them!
I really enjoy the back round music. Thanks Jay . And as always the church is amazing. Thank you. Be happy .🌠✴♥️👋😘
those gates with the heart shaped cut-outs are EVERYTHING
Am going to be staying in this area next fall. So glad I re-found this video to get great suggestions for somewhere I've never spent time in!

I pass this stop everyday. Now I'll have to stop and see all of this stuff.
Thanks for the footage❗️ I enjoyed your walking 🚶 👍🌞
I caught that "mais" slip at 13:24 haha. Loving the series, Jay. Great stuff as always.
Thanks for the walk around Plaisance! I wouldn't mind living there. I like the variety of architecture. That church was something else!

Fabulous, Jay!!!! 🗼
Beautiful, thanks for a lovely video

Really enjoyed this video. It was upbeat and I'm digging this part of the 14th. I could see myself living there in a little quiet place. Very cute.
Love the "village area" part of the quarter! Agree, way better than Rue Cremieux.
I thought it was a lot more fun =)
Thanks Jayp🙂
Once again, a pleasant and well crafted video Jay! Thank you!
ok that church is actually pretty cool!
Love this 80 in 8 series! Keep up the good job!
I like your wanderer spirit Jay! 👍
Liked today’s music and your editing. Thanks for the introduction to that church. I’ll have to go to Mass to check out the acoustics.
I enjoyed your blog again! I don't know this district. Thank you, Jay. 🚶😎

I wish I could go to the Place de Seoul.... Looks like a perfect place to take professional photos.
Jay, you are cool 😎 thanks 🙏
Next time in in Paris, we can go down the creepy dark tunnel of doom. We might need to write our wills first, but YOLO.
Great video-cheers from Hawaii
It’s so weird how I think of Montparnasse & thé Petite Ceinture as such different areas yet you show how close they actually are
So many experiences like that for me, just by walking around 😊
the petite ceinture looks very beautiful but is it completely safe down there? it looks like the perfect place for bandits and highwaymen.
...Only go with a group of friends!
We had it all today! Cute dog, pretty streets, a cool church and music you haven't used in a while. Oh and was that a Monsters Inc reference there at the little park's name? 😊
I hope you hit La Mouzaïa when you're in the 19th!

Next time - remember there is a flashlight built into your phone. ;)

or the use by the philosopher?

Jay, don't go back to that mysterious, dark doorway beside the tracks. Has Pennywise hangout written all over it
🤣🤣🤣
Gustave’s shorter bouncier brother there.💖
9:00 this sort of building by Ricardo Bofill looks better at Les Espaces d'Abraxas
This WAS such a pleasant surprise. This quarter is somewhere I could totally live. How far of a subway ride is it, Jay, from say the Peloton cafe?
...15 minutes!
Hey, I know this is super late, so you may not see this, but where did you get on/off exactly when you were on the Petite Ceinture?
Thanks Jay...Osmo Pocket footage continues to be solid. I guess you saw they’ve released a v2 w/some killer updated features. Check it out! #notashill
How different this district is. Thanks
"TRVAIL"??? :-D
Second !
10:27 "There's a good shot of Montparnasse there..."
Is there ever a "good shot" of Montparnasse anywhere?
With weaponry maybe
Excellent editing to go with the music!
😍👍🏻
Whose music is this?
Diesel punk church .. veeery nice.
You must of really enjoyed your school trips as a kid. Eating pizza with a fork and knife! Fold and eat baby. NYC sorry about that. Be well and safe
I wonder if Europeans look at our cheap apartment building & are as put off by the look as I am of theirs
Maybe? They see them on TV all the time so I don't think it's a shock
