Captain Ed Berger from the TackleDirect Pro Staff and Frank Murata from Daiwa discuss the features of the Daiwa Lexa 300, 400 Reels at ICAST 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
My dad's got that reel, it's great for musky and pike, winches in a big bulldawg no problem and is very well priced. Back at home we call it the Curado killer and it really is, more drag power, a lot more smooth, and not $300.
Still waiting for a new model with the TWS.
What's the difference In the normal Lexa 300 and the inshore? Will they both hold up just as we'll to salt water? So far the only difference I have noticed is the power handle
I bought a brand new in box RH 400h 2 weeks ago at $140 Cndn dollars. Ive heard mixed reviews, some guys love them and own 4-5-6 yet others say theyre trash. I was willing to test it myself at that price.
I just bought the 300 with a shimano trevala 6 foot heavy rod
Using it as a boat rod
I literally bought it 2 hours ago
I’m this is in my recommendation but I’d like to say that I still have my gen 1 lexa 400 and it’s still kills the yellowtail
Loving my HD 300 .... here’s a practical review I just did after testing on the water fir a variety of species 👉ua-cam.com/video/EBxAKPCeVuY/v-deo.html
Left handle ?
ya tuna on a reel with a level wind and braid. when the levelwind is at 1 side an ur 55lb braid starts ripping off the wind wont move and as the line get to the opposite side it will jam up..............braid and big fast fish on a level wind will cause problems.
can size 300 cast weight less than 1oz lures?
Yeah one you get used to it you can
I have one question is daiwa lexa 400 been able to cast lures over 8 oz ?
pleace answer :)
the 300 can, so i think the 400 can to. i have seen the 300 being used to throw a deadtwitch.
Thanks :)
Only the Okuma Comodo carries a disengaging level wind.
