@@liiran664 He had to send Titan to his mother so that Eren could be motivated to become strong. Which in the end can protect Paradise and its friends
The scene where the Edit goes from Young eren being Horrified at his older self instead of the Colossal is absolutely Bone-Chilling absolute masterpiece of an edit my man
I feel like Eren was flashing back to all those memories in the normal scene,we just didn't see it in the original,he was looking back on his past, realizing that he was broken from the start, that there was always just something messed up about his existence, something in his brain that was always there and in that moment he finally embraced it,becoming the devil the world wanted him to be
Honestly, could you imagine how much more impactful it would have been had THIS been the real scene instead of just a fan edit? With all the people screaming “fuck eren” going into the last half of season 4, it would’ve served as a much needed reminder of just how much pain and pushing it took to bring things to this point. Eren’s character is such a tragedy not only because he bears the pains of the horrors witnessed in his own life on his shoulders, but he’s also witnessed the horrors of marleyan eldians through his fathers memories. Eren is just a kid still, aged about 18 or 19 and he’s witnessed countless people brutalized and devoured by titans including his own mother, caused the death of his father, and watched as a bystander as his aunt was ripped apart by dogs and his father was tortured on Marley and his friends were all turned into titans. All of this happened BEFORE feeling he had no other option but to become the monsters Bertolt and Reiner were to his people, yet they are good guys now? Now don’t get me wrong, the warriors’ stories are tragedies as well, no doubt. Life as second class citizens raised for the military and, if chosen, forced to take on short lives to make the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of their nation, but all of that doesn’t even compare to the hell Eren marched through to get here. Thank you so much for making this edit. Incredible job! So much told in just two minutes.
because it wasn't revenge . he understood it more than anyone. the scene was to show how unpredictible and cruel eren has become for his which is no longer taking revenge but breaking free from chains, to show that eren is no longer naive but a ruthless war veteran who can do anything to achieve his goals. that was the original ost, a sudden unexpected start and a sudden end. this is a great edit and if they were to add it to blueray for a rewatch it would be perfect but not for the first time.
Sorry, but the new ost fit better because like someone below said, he wasn't doing it for revenge but for the big picture. And it's very hypocritical to take this view on Eren and still hate on the warriors. Everyone is a victim.
Love when Eren is going through his memories, with all the bad that happened and he has remembered, right before he turns into his titan form his last memories are of armin and mikasa cause he’s doing it for them and the people of paradise
Wow, not bad. Especially the scene with little Eren at 1:30 was very well put. The same facial expression, Bertholdt in his Titan inflicted into Eren and his friend when he broke Wall Maria, he himself is inflicting into all of those people watching him in his own Titan form. If Mappa did this scene exactly this way, it wouldn't have been any less epic than we have it now. Maybe even more epic.
Most of people think that Eren has completely changed by season 4, but the reality is that he hasn't changed at all, he's still "ippiki nokorazu, kuchiku shteyaru" as he was at the very beginning.
Honestly, they should have played this soundtrack instead, this would have fitted so much more better after everything Eren's been trough. The OST that played when his mother was killed on the very first episode by Marleyans attack, now he comes back for revenge... "On that day, humanity received a grim reminder.."
YES YES 1000% YES. How the conflict between Eldia and the rest of the world was depicted is my only criticism of the show. What they needed to do was mirror the sequences and world building of Eren, Mikasa and Armin in the eyes of Gabi and her life. Then, reenact the Attack Titan and Colossol Titan's appearance as an exact mirror to the season 1 appearance of the Colossol Titan and the Armored Titan. This would have shown the horrors of "just wars" to the eyes of children who are born into this world. What a beautiful edit. Made me tear up. This is how I choose to remember the show.
I can also see how Armin contrasting Bertolt (both shy guys possessing the Colossial Titan) and Eren contrasting Reiner ironically (Which both shows the Armoured and Attack Titan aggressively charging and attacking the enemy territory). Makes perfect sense.
the first time you see this scene it feels like erens trying to make a truce then it feels scary due to how he just destroyed a building then ate a guy then after the rumbling you realise its eren apoligizing for the things he will do the song fits all 3 reasons perfectly
This scene perfectly shows that Eren was not the one who started this war. He patiently waited for Tybur (or whatever his name was) to finish his declaration. Many people say that they didn't like how Eren changed and stopped supporting him. They saw all the sad stories about different characters and felt pity for them. Well, that's to be expected, it's obvious that every single person have someone or sth they love but that doesn't change the fact that war is war and it won't stop until either side is wiped out. The hatred and fear towards Eldians was deeply rooted in people hearts and it wouldn't dissapear no matter how much they would talk with each other. If Eren didn't do it, someone else would. It was meant to happen one day but Eren was the one to have balls big enough to do it despite the fact how much he wanted to just stay with his friends till his last days. Since 1st episode I was rooting for Eren and that didn't change until the end of the story. All of you who turned their backs on him are despicable.
at the end of the day the marleyans were still preparing an invasion of paradis. they still declared war first. they were still going to try to genocide the eldians again no matter what eren did . a vast majority of the world hate and oppress the eldians for crimes that may or may not have been committed 1000 years ago they're the ones bringing that hatred into the modern day and the ones actively trying to kill the other side. the rumbling is not only necessary but just.
The attack titan was one who could resist the founding titans powers as its ability to look into the past present ad also future fuck with timelines. It has always been a titan that poses the royalfamily. it is yumirs titian of choice it came about after the eldians lost the titan war.
I understand completely the author's intentions of showing Marley's point of view. But it didn't work well for me (subjectively speaking). It was Eren who I saw losing every possibility to see the outside world and immediatly get up and abandon his own life to go save his childhood friend from being eaten AND ALL OF THIS WITHOUT HAVING A DAMN CLUE OF WHY HE LOST HIS MOTHER AND HIS HOME. His own life was taken from him when he was like 9 years old... You can't shoot me and then show me a cat to symphasize, and on top of that Marley was damn ready to go and massacre an island that up to this point only defended itself. FUCK THEM
Still…killing the entirety of humanity is not the right answer. And at the end we find out Eren didn’t even care about protecting his fellow people but did the Rumbling for selfish reasons. Once Eren had the power of the Founder he knew why all this happened and he still was immature about it. But I understand, he is a young man after all. He wasn’t as wise or mature as Zeke to understand that point of view.
@@BigV24 Selfish? For what exactly?. I fairly understand Eren being immature in some way, since he's 19 and grew up in a war. @@karmiccj1911 Killing people who had nothing to do with their war is immature. I don't care how you justify it but a lot of innocent people died for no reason. Once again the finale showed that he didn't care about his people getting massacred, he did all of this because he wanted to see how much destruction he could cause.
