Glossier Stretch Foundation - Wore beautifully. I did get more radiant throughout the day, but the foundation didn’t break up or get patchy. No cakiness around my nose, which is where I can usually see foundation break up throughout the day. Really excited to keep testing!
Trish McAvoy Instant Eye Lift - Not the most brightening, but didn’t interfere with concealer or crease throughout the day. To be honest, eye brighteners/color correctors aren’t a necessary category of product for me so I’ll probably pass this on to a friend.
MOB Beauty Clay Cream Blush - Absolutely stunning in formula and pigment. Immediately going in my everyday blush drawer. I need to wear this on its own to test wear time more thoroughly, but it’s just the kind of tone that feels both special and pragmatic.
Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint - So fun; pigment is long-lasting, especially on cheeks. The color faded on my lips more quickly but I think that’s because I used it over the lipstick. On its own it would probably leave more of a stain behind. And I actually love this for a popsicle stain blush look, especially going into warmer months. But use a brush! Of the 4 shades, I think Chill is my favorite.
MOB Beauty Highlight Balm - For a balm highlighter, I liked that this didn’t get greasier throughout the day or break up makeup underneath. I don’t reach for this type of product very often, but every once in a while I do like a glassier look, so I’ll keep it around.
MOB Beauty Cream Clay Eyeshadow - So into this formula. It did crease after application, as you saw, but it actually didn’t get much creasier than that throughout the day. It didn’t fade in the creases, for example. Will keep testing with different eyeshadow primers too.
Sweed Pro Lash Lift Mascara - Thrilled to report there was no smudging! It also stayed separated all day, maybe a slight drop to the curl. That’s normal for me without lash priimer. It is water-resistance but it wasn’t too difficult to remove with micellar water, didn’t require lots of rubbing.
Sweed Lip Liner - A great warm caramel nude. Long-wearing, not as long under a creamy lipstick, which is to be expected.
Sweed Lipstick - Beautiful, easy-to-wear formula. You know I live for a creamy lipstick and the pencil shape makes this feel like a casual lip product.
Trish McEvoy Lip Gloss - Pass, unfortunately. I did really like the color. Too thick for my preferences, but I think my mom will like this.

I'm so glad that I got into beauty (makeup/skincare specifically) UA-cam now, rather than in the 2010s. Channels like yours, Hannah's, Kackie's, Tom's, and Alex A's have all been instrumental in my development of my love of makeup. You all think so much about formulas, textures, colors, shade ranges, and the relationship with joy and consumerism. There are other creators I go to for things specific to my skin tone (I'm black, so I can never use you all for shades), but I have found some of my favorite products from your recommendations and have options for future products when I get through more of what I already have.
You're wonderful, and I'm especially excited to see you continue your fashion journey.
This is such a nice comment. As someone who watched a lot of beauty youtube in the 2010's (I actually watch way less now!), I totally agree that it's nice to see more nuanced, thoughtful reviews out there. I do try to remember that I'm reviewing for people of all different skin tones / genders / preferences / economic backgrounds etc. - I'm really glad I can be helpful in some way!
I can say with all honesty that I’ve never looked at someone and noticed if their eyeliner is even. We can be so much more exacting towards ourselves.

I enjoy your musings and assessments as you work your way through these makeup products. I’m not tempted by the blush jellies but that pop of bright colour looks gorgeous on you. I have to set the mob beauty eyeshadows and I don’t get much creasing.

This was exactly the foundation info I needed - I want to try the Mob Beauty one but wasn't sure if I should go for Olive 30 or 40, since the light one looks maybe too light. But since I already know that my Glossier match is their light olive, and yours is medium, I can get the lighter Mob shade in confidence.

Catching up on old videos and had to share-I was at Sephora with my wife this weekend. She barely pays attention to products as I wander around swatching things, but she noticed the jelly stick thing and asked in a horrified voice “what is that?!”

Trish has a liquid liner that can be used in the waterline and is instantly smudge proof. You can blink after application and it’s set.

That MOB blush is gorgeous! A friend gifted that SWEED mascara a few years ago and it’s one of my favourites for my stubborn Asian lashes. I’m curious about the MILK cooling water jelly tints.
