Thank you ladies for your lovely videos! I'm really enjoying them :) I would like to say that I feel as though Tara sometimes makes remarks about people not knowing things in quite a sarcastic tone. Like, "It is not hard, People! Hello!" (at 1:58) We are watching these videos because we need help and encouragement, not judgement and made to feel like we are stupid. That's all. I am gleaning and I even decluttered my desk, cleaned my room, made my bed, and am now going through all emails since I started watching your 10 Secrets #1-9 so far tonight! So thank you :) I plan to watch the rest of your videos!

You two are so cute! :-) So practical and so common sense.. but when we are buried in the middle it helps to just have someone repeat it to you and to sort of inspire. You all have done this for me this weekend. I feel encouraged again and for that I am thankful! THANK YOU BOTH!

In Ont. hydro rates are higher than they are in California and just went up again the 1st of this month. Too expensive to do laundry during the day so we wait till after 7 cheap time) to put them in the washer and then just before bed put them in the drier. That way they are done for the next morning to get put away before the day is too far gone. And anything you need is clean.
thanks for the push. just cleaned out my dresser and closet took me 15 min and now have a garbage bag full to go to the thrift store and a grocery bag of cleaning rags. :)
Now onto my dining room clutter.

I have a method when it comes to balancing computer time with Cleaning. Since I mostly clean up after my dad, my two cats, and myself it is fairly simple, though I live in a space that is right around 400 sq feet (very tiny!) I will, for example, watch a ten minute video, then as soon as the video is done, I'll go clean something. Or I'll set a timer for 15 minutes and play minecraft, or some other video game I can just pause, and then I'll go clean for 10 minutes. Little things like that. I've found it works rather well for me.
I started watching these videos because I still have a hard time keeping up since I don't necessarily do the little things every day. Some days I'm just way to tired and I spend 15 hours sleeping before getting up and going to work. I work 6 days a week, and while its only for 5-6 hours a day, the times are all over the place (welcome to retail) and sometimes I just can not stay awake. It makes matters worse when my Father will not pick up after himself at all. So I've started following some of your tips. Like the waste bin by the computer, and so on. So far it seems to be helping but only time will tell.
I guess my big issue is that I'm the only one cleaning at all, and since he's my dad, its really hard to tell him he needs to do something, and then have him actually DO it. Any tips there?

+BelloLeStrange/CW1990 Hum, that's a tough one. The good news is since it's just you and your dad you shouldn't have huge messes all the time but if he's not doing his share then it will be more work for you. Have you tried asking him and talking to him about it? Or I would just say "Dad, can you take this trash out for me" or "dad can you help me unload the dishwasher or do the dishes". A lot of times guys just don't see it needs to be done and if you just ask they are willing to do it.

I have tried that. Seems like my dad has the mentality that as his child, I should do all the chores, even though I'm in my mid twenties and working hard to make it. Not to complain. I just have gotten really frustrated as of late.
I appreciate that you took the time to reply to me :) I will be continuing to put your tips to use.

And even if not completely organized yet, do 1 little thing and then stay on top of that thing is the best way to get it done!

"It's not hard people. HELLO" mmm.... Not sure how helpful this comment is. On the other hand, I'm enjoying Jill so I'm going to check out a few more videos. AND.... I did go and check out how to fold a fitted sheet. Although I have been doing a few steps myself, watching Jill just made it so easy from me to go all the way and do it right so thanks.

I too have poor health and sometimes find standing painful, your tip about 'a little at a time' is spot on - I shall clean my house or eat my elephant one bite at a time!! Thanks ladies x
