Recycling in South Africa: How waste pickers are turning trash into treasure.

Currently, South Africa produces 108 million tons of waste per year. A total of 90 per cent of that waste ends up in landfills and only 10 per cent of waste is currently recycled.
While most people see trash, waste picker and recycling entrepreneurs saw an opportunity to make money by turning the trash into treasure.
