      Thanks, man. I appreciate it! Hopefully I'll have some update videos soon! It's been hard to find time. I have 2 young children who have been my number one priority, but we'll get back to building! I have lots of footage I just need to sit down and edit

    I love how the chain tensioner for the steering chain is the hood ornament! that's awesome

    • @rednectarYT
      @rednectarYT  Рік тому

      It just came out of necessity! I had a friend who saw the old bolt that was the tensioner and mentioned it resembled a rad cap, so it went from rad cap to ornament!

    about the stuck rearaxle , yeah keeping the dirt of helps . maibe you can cover the open parts with some hose so it doesnt fill up with mud and rust
    think one tool that will give you a lot of help would be a minilathe and maibe a milling machine m both are realy handy for making axles hubs and all that sort of stuff , makes it eazier to adapt stuff too

    • @rednectarYT
      @rednectarYT  Рік тому

      Oh man, 100% a mini lathe would be awesome, but in canada, that's a lot of money. The humidity has been crazy this year. All the bare metal bearly lasts overnight without flash rusting. I've started using preservative oil to help out. Thanks for watching and offering some good advice!

    Liking the build. The front suspension seems to have shocks and springs + something similar to a springer (sliding trunions). Is there a reason for that? Wondered how you find having the front shocks/springs horizontal. ? Thanks for sharing

    • @rednectarYT
      @rednectarYT  2 місяці тому +1

      It was just the space available. The shock needs to be very stiff compared to the tower style suspension. I used mountain bike springs, which were rated to 1000 lbs. Normal motorcycle shocks were way too soft. She rides great! There is far more bump stear than I would like but that will be getting addressed.

    Great video my friend. Where are you located? I am starting my channel with a 1928 Morgan RIP GN special with 4 wheels hillclimb racer replica. I have to build a foundry to cast a two part aluminum adapter to mate the experimental airplane opposed twin engine to the flywheel and then to an MGB transmission and then by driveshaft to the MGB rear differential so it can have brakes and really awesome wire wheels. The frame will be wood over steel and covered with ceconite air craft fabric...
