I'm sorry for the delay in getting this update video out! Couple of irl things happened, and then the Melody of Memory Demo took up a lot of my videogame time, but better late than never!

Darkness being Ava, if its true, makes me kinda happy. Also makes luxus quote, "I guess ava didnt make it after all. Ava had her own mission...and she carried it out", holds a lot more weight.
Honestly, I think you get too little credit for these latest UX explained videos. For people who don't really play the game like me, having all the relevant info in digestible forms like this really does wonders. The sporadic updates, pacing problems with the story and brevity of them all individually really make them difficult to remember, especially when you have no attachment to the gameplay itself. Really appreciate the work you put into your UX content, keep it up.

Amen brother, I'm also here for the same reason, I love KH but didn't like KHUX... And boy it adds so much to the story, especially in KH3. I still haven't played ReMind or the Melody game, looks fun. Cheers to damo279 for making these for us!

I'm very curious to see if that's Vanitas or not. I think it is. Plus, now that we know that Xehanort in his youth encountered a lot of these darknesses, perhaps he was aware of this when he chose Ventus as a pupil. There's definitely more to his actions.
Lauriam. Oh my God I'm so excited about Lauriam. Marluxia has always been my favorite Org XIII character. He always felt different. It all makes so much sense now. I'm happy that I thought about the Strelitzia connection with his final boss form in Chain of Memories. It's pretty much confirmed now, and everyone talks about it, but I'm happy that I thought it on my own.
It puts his journey in a different light. He wanted his memories back in chain of memories. That's why he was in freaking Castle Oblivion.
Nothing more to say, I'm beyond hyped with this franchise and story right now.
I can't even fathom how Lauriam felt with all this knowledge about his sister being thrown at him :(

I think that Darkness IS Vanitas, just prior to receiving that name. First of all, in 3, Ven asked Vanitas if all he is is Darkness. Vanitas simply replies with “I am Darkness.”
Thank you as always for these videos! I follow the story during updates, but having it summarized is always nice, and the speculative comments afterward always leave me thinking about what lies next. I also believe Brain is the successor Luxu has already passed the gazing eye down to, which is why I think we didn't see him draw his blade against Darkness in this update. Your comments about Player coming back to Daybreak have me now wondering what role they'll play upon their return. Part of me doesn't want them to end with the game and not be relevant in future titles, I'm far too attached to Player and their relationship with the Dandelion leaders
These vids are amazing, so glad I found this channel. Taking such a long story and breaking it down into an easy summary must take a lot of time and effort. Great job as always.

Logically we should, but honestly at this stage I'm starting to think we won't actually see them in Union Cross, maybe they'll show up in the past of Yozoras original world.
I think they're holding onto those two for KH4/Whatever game continues the story in a significant way. I still think Demyx could be the MoM or related to him in some way.
Recently I was thinking a lot about the thought "the brighter the light the bigger the shadow it casts" . What if we will be left with the "solution" that each character can potentially "produce" these darknesses? What we know from the game is that only the Disney princesses and Kairi have a heart made of pure light. What if everything is just to mean that these shadows that we see are the shadows of our own characters? What if the black cloak of MoM is meant not to literally (or not only) protect you from Darkness but to prevent your own darkness to create your shadow?
Just binged the majority of your content, this must be my gift for doing so.
I guess Ven isn't allowed to be happy in any timeline.

Everyone in kingdom hearts needs some form of break or therapy I swear to God.
I have a few friends who play KH and KH Union Cross X and I am always so confused about the storyline because life gets busy and I don't often keep up. So I want to thank you SO SO SO much for clarifying the storyline with a digestible timeline and helping us fans understand what is going on. You are incredible and greatly appreciated!!
I keep think something has to happen to ephemer, cuz of when we saw him in kh3. Like he has to be even a little more important than the other leaders for him and only him to appear to Sora. Either he's dead, or he's the only one still "okay" so to speak like aqua was out of the wayfinder trio. Or maybe he gets the masters keyblade? I have so many questions and not enough answers

Some things I think about a lot while listening to you at work:
If the gazing eye sees the future, and the master writes it down, and the foretellers read it and then choose to act differently, the gazing eye would see that and the master would write that down. Quite the paradox.
The master, at least his English voice actor, speaks in a way that reminds me a LOT of Xigbar. (1)
How convenient it is that so many people associated directly with the foretellers and the union cross ended up in Org XIII.
(1)The master put his eye into his keyblade and gave it to Luxu and Luxu just happens to possess the body of someone who wears an eyepatch.
I do like the idea of "us" meaning the thirteen darknesses, or just the forces of darkness in general, but it could also just refer to Darkness and Ven.
Or maybe it's the royal Us; I'm not sure what the original Japanese was. (Edit: I've checked the kanji, and the "we", or "us" used is "wareware," which.... tells us nothing, lol. "Ware" is a kindof archaic pronoun, but beyond that for characterization, we learn little. It's definitely not "the royal we" as I semi-jokingly suggested earlier tho, lol)

"Us", reminds me of the mention to the seven deadly sins in Dark Road. All the Foretellers have names referring the seven deadly sins and these sins are meant to bring Darkness into someone's heart. So maybe "Us" is referring to all these sins, and once they gather, form a new entity 🤷🏼♂️
I also believe they all made it back to the real Daybreak Town but Brain stood in the past, founding Scala Ad Caelum and all the others went to the future. They all reappeared except Ephemer for now so maybe Ephemer will reappear after KH3.
I'm so sad that my tablet can't hold it's charge even when plugged in. I remember starting Ux in like 2018 (?) or something because I was bored on a holiday and then forgot about it due to thesis writing. I watched the BackCover stories on the night prior to KH3 to kind of catch up after binge finishing all the other games. But wow, this is becoming even more fantastic than the FATE franchise to me. I watched all the Ux story videos you've put together in one night and I'm just "I want to get off Mr. Nomuras wild ride... but I can't because it's still climbing height and is on fire." Had a good laugh in the first compilation video on the "this raises several questions", because if anything that summarizes trying to explain all this to anyone.
Thank you for this. I'm struggling to get through the bug stuff and with the pressure of the game ending soon, I don't want to bother with Union X and just do Dark Road.

No idea! This last update was talked about at the start of the year before the world collapsed and they haven't really defined how many updates are still to come or when they will drop, but hopefully another one will be here in November! I'm expecting Dark Road Chapter 3 very soon though so that may delay the Union Cross story update, we'll have to wait and see

Where are you following these new chapters of the story? I just started fragmentary passage. I didn’t know about the “x” series. These are new games? Is it being updated monthly? Is it not some completed game? This is the one for IOS right?
At the end you mention, we are getting a dark road episode 3 before MoM, is this official info??
Episode 3 is launching in about 18 hours for JP, and either next week or unlikely, but best case scenario an hour after for the global version

When you said "It a very very exciting time to be a kingdom hearts fans" i think this is a period of a long content, fun and exciting time to play kingdom hearts game for 1 or 3 years period since kingdom hearts 3 released
For the people that are too lazy to play a mobile game, this is great but this should really become a tv show to appeal even to non kingdom hearts fans

I know that darkness played a trick on my cinnamon roll and killed Strelitzia but did you ever realize that Ava has a fox mask? Do you know what a fox is in Japan? They are magical creatures who can transform into many persons.
But whatever. It's just what I got in my mind. And I don't know if you're talking slower but if you do it on purpose then thank you. My English is okay but when Native Speaker are talking sp quickly I barely can understand them. But hey I can ask UA-cam if it can create some texts. I'm better at reading.
Thank you for posting that story. I mean I'm not willingly play a mobile game especially when Japanese people get the better version of it and getting informations much quicker. Unfortunately I can't chose where I was born (and as much I love Japan I wouldn't move to it) and that's why it's kind of discrimination...
Still... I love that game because I played it back the very first Kingdom Hearts in 2004 European release also with German voices. I can't let pass every single thing of this game. Thank you for sharing this to us even my poor cinnamon roll is controlled by darkness! QwQ
Union X doesn't really matter to the Main Story at all, it's just a cash grab series with Gacha Mechanics.
Defend this insane position. What is the main series? Literally every Kingdom Hearts game tells one continuous narrative. You think a story about the origins of the keyblade war and the Master of Masters is somehow not important to the overall plot? I need to know what's going through your head to be posting such things
@@damo and this is why I'm glad true Kingdom Hearts fans exist, ones willing to understand the plot of the series in whichever iteration it appears in
Good luck @CK Gaming Channel if you wish to understand KH lore by only playing or paying attention to KH1, KH2 and KH3.
Quick example: who are those 4 characters that appear at the end of KH3? And why Xigbair is called Luxu now? Oh and what about that dark cloaked figure speaking with Young Xehanorth in KH3 ReMind? Never heard of any of those if you stick only to KH1, 2 and 3 I guess!
Doesn't matter, it just gives context to the main antagonist from Chain of Memories, context to one of the main protagonists of BBS, it explains the origins of the franchise, it introduces characters that return for KH3, and it spawned another game that is literally all about the first phase's main antagonist.
I think you are just bad at the game and can't progress. I understand how that can be frustrating.
Dude. Kh3 relies on unchained X/union X
