    1.The Irene video will be coming out in several days. It's been a weird situation with sponsors where the videos I made are not coming out in the order I expected.
    2.I accidentally made an earlier rendition of this video public before approval by my sponsors which is why people were asking why the video was privatized.

      I will say this Colonialism has not ended..... it evolved. let me explain. before colonialism " ends " the west chose the leaders of countries to keep their interest in regions take france for example.
      www.ieri.be/en/publications/wp/2019/f-vrier/france-still-exploiting-africa
      and take me for example. i am from the middle east and here our " dictators" have been chosen by the west not by us and here they uneducate people Historically , economically and religiously because that's what sustain their rule and my country is rich ,but money is nothing for me and for us muslims in general and here we eat we drink and we sleep ( not me i always study and seek knowledge in all fronts as best as i can and am a civil engineer ) even the cattle eat drinks and sleeps. here🇰🇼 courrption is too obvious and we muslims are in phase one and that's " Realization " to be fully aware from politics to history to religion. and every time a Muslim nation rises the west is unsatisfied and want to overthrow the government. Gaddafi,mursi,Yemeni leader Salah , King faisal in the 70s ( he got assassinated) ....etc way a lot i can't go over them all.
      HOWEVER, before the Arab spring this i admit was not clear to all of us ,but after the Arab spring EVERYTHING WAS CLEAR. we now came to realize misery is built by the happiness of others and our leaders and boarders were chosen and drawn by the west and we must amd will over throw our governments and stop the western intervention in our lands. sorry forgot ( the western people have nothing to do with their governments in fact we are all slaves to this corrupted system we live under " capitalism " or communism both you use " banks" made you know by who i don't have to explain).
      now about "slavery has evolved" and this time it favors no race only one in fact 👃 and it favors mostly the dollar. we are born to serve and sustain the system and the system milks the life out of us and we gain " invaluable paper money " in return and sometimes we get in debt which is literally an invisible chain in the neck. basically we are living inside bank and the bank choses who succeed and who doesn't and the bank plays with economy and who built it? "the red shield" known as the rothschilds.
      our muslim lands are the battlefield of the super powers and when you say next time why refugees are in Europe ask yourself what caused them to be there? that's the correct question.
      Russia is causing the refugee crisis in Europe by bombing the Syrians and helping Assad to kill his people and the refugees are a toy to send them to Turkey and Europe to weaken their economy and make the left wing fight right wing start wars. Russia has an agenda and don't get wrong Russia, china and America/western Europe are fighting for their agenda to who rules who. all of them are trash.
      now i want to put it in conclusion. " REALIZATION LEADS TO REVALUATION AND REVELATION LEADS TO REVOLUTION " SOMETIMES IT LEADS TO A VERY DIFFERENT R AND THAT'S RADICALIZATION AND THAT HAPPENS WITHOUT BACKBONE. that's why people go far left or far right. because they are weak in character and btw left wing right wing is a toy for the system no matter who wins the system decides everything not the people nor the government.
      We muslims are in phase one ,but obviously Turkish people has finished phase three. and we look forward to unite with our Muslim brothers and sisters and no islam is not an Arab please don't let me write about it and Arab is not an ethnicity it's a language.
      the world is Suffering from western imperialism ( not the people unlike you we understand) most people walk with where the wind pushes them am not like that i hope you understand now.

      Mustafa had declared himself as Sultan in all but name by setting up an Imperial tent in Anatolia, growing a beard and displaying his thakur. For Suleiman Han not to kill Shahzade Mustafa, he would have to except Mustafa as the new Emperor and retire.
      This would cause a minor civil war with his brothers that Mustafa would win as the military mostly supported him.
      Then he would go on to do pretty much exactly the same thing his father did as Suleiman Han did not cease fighting untill he died. He literally died on the battlefield in a siege.
      So although people like to romanticize Shahzade Mustafa even in Turkey, he probably would not have contributed as much as people imagine.
      I have to add that despite his portrayal as incompetent in the FICTIONAL soap opera based on reality, Selim the Second was not a bad Sultan.

    Army group center was redirected away from Moscow to attack Leningrad and the Caucuses. Without the Caucasian oil, Army Group Center would continue rushing toward Moscow, probably cutting off Leningrad from any supply in the process. Without the delay, Germany's likely to seize both cities. Sure there'll be a hefty siege for both, but the extra few weeks is what Russia needed to reposition the Siberian divisions to Moscow's defense and to mobilize the populace to dig defenses. Especially with Turkish oil, the Germans would make it through Moscow, Leningrad, and Stalingrad as they did in our timeline. Whether the Soviets fall is up to debate, (they probably don't) but the railway hubs and most of the Soviet Heavy Industry centered in those cities, the Germans would be able to put up a much harder fight. They probably take or cut off the three cities just before or at the start of winter, so they'll be able to dig in and prepare for the counterattack.
    Itl, the Germans tried to encircle and starve Moscow, more like with Leningrad than Stalingrad. When Leningrad falls, they'll also free up hundreds of thousands of troops for the front, and Germany gets ready for the summer offensive to take the Archangelsk-Astrakan line. They probably don't make it, but they definitely make it farther than they did itl.

    • @AndreasFly007
      @AndreasFly007 4 роки тому +6

      I have to disagree.The Red Army by that point was outnumbering the Wehrmacht almost 2:1 both in men and in equipment. The Germans would strike at Moscow and be defeated again as they were in 1941 cause the main force of the Soviets was there waiting for them. That is why the Germans broke through in the south cause the Soviets were expecting a Moscow attack.
      Since Barbarossa didn't break the Soviets the Germans had lost the war even with the Turkish oil which in out timeline(the British Middle East) wasn't making that much oil as the Caucasian fields and although the Turks could increase the production said oil is not free. Germany would have to pay for it and judging by the capitalist system it would pay a lot.
      WW2 is a doomed German defeat in most cases and this timeline is no exception.

Still I believe that Germany would lose due to American power both military and economic making this a war of attrition which the Axis couldn't win.

  • @BelugaTheHutt
    @BelugaTheHutt 4 роки тому +13

    I think your assessment of the WW2 Eastern Front needs some work. The Russian winter was much less impactful in stopping the German advance than other factors were. The primary factors in stopping the German advance during the fall of 1941 and fall of 1942 was simply the Russian army itself, whereas during the later summer of 1941 (after the first 3 weeks of advances) and all throughout 1942, the primary factor slowing the Germans down was fuel - which you've stated in your scenario would be sold plentifully to both sides by the Ottomans.
    The 3 biggest problems with your description of the scenario as having been largely the same as in our timeline, except with a 1942 drive on Moscow are these:
    1. The initial speed of the German advance would have reduced at a lesser rate after the first 3 weeks of Barbarossa, as motorized and panzer units would have been able to be supplied much deeper into Russia, thanks to the ability to supply them more consistently by truck. The German army lacked the trucks to keep more than just portions of their army supported by mechanized logistics, but they were able to supply those small portions when the fuel was able to be budgeted. Horse and train supply would have still been necessary for the bulk of the infantry. What this would lead to would be a greater number of "pocketing", such as the Minsk pocket and Smolensk pockets, in which hundreds of thousands of Soviets were cut off from resupply by the armored and mechanized maneuvers, and forced to surrender. I'm not saying that the so-called A-A "Line" would have been reached, but I am saying that the Soviets would have suffered much heavier losses to being taken captive in pockets - even Moscow itself would not have been necessarily safe from being cut off. This means that they'd have entered 1942 in a much worse position.
    2. The entire nature of Fall Blau in 1942 centered around the dual goals of securing an oil supply (which probably wouldn't have been able to be put to use that year anyway) and cutting off the Russian oil logistics. Neither of these goals would be feasible in your scenario, which leaves the strategic objectives of Germany in 1942 pretty confused, but seizing the population and industrial centers of the cities along the Volga further north had originally been just as much a part of initial German plans to defeat Russia as the Caucasus had been. In other words, I would not envision a decisive turning point in one climactic battle as in our timeline, which leads to the other issue.
    3. While you are right in assuming that even with an oil supply secured (particularly at opportunistic wartime price gouging from the Ottomans), Germany lacked the resources to defeat Russia thoroughly enough to remove it as a threat, there is still a problem with assuming that the war would therefore progress on roughly the same timeline. While it still would've lost, we would've seen a much slower German defeat on the Eastern Front, which means that we may have even seen a German surrender solely to the allies in late 1945 or early 1946, while the Red Army was still working on reaching the borders of intermarum Poland. The impact of a slower Soviet advance would have had enormous post-war impact, as this would lead to less of a "cold war between roughly equal rivals" and more than likely something of a Morgenthau Plan for Germany. If Western allies had been able to enforce their pre-1941 commitments to Poland, we may have seen a somewhat expanded, Western-backed Poland as a complement to France as a US and Britain aligned continental European power, and as the furthest-east bulwark against Western fears of the perceived dangers of the spread of Russian-backed communist influence.

      Those are my thoughts and why I had the question mark. By many metrics South Africa isn't doing fabulously, but it's doing pretty well considering it just got out of Apartheid. In all reality something like 11 tribes (of which I'm counting the Afrikaners, Indians and British) have to coexist and share power in a dry area with a shrinking water supply, which is normally a recipe for complete disaster. If I was predicting SA's future from 1960, I would think it would have collapsed into civil war at some point around 2000, with the Coloreds and Black Africans forming different nations while the white population would flee to Australia and London.

The Tanzimat reforms of the ottomans was to westernize and by Westernize it means industrialize and making better education for its people, it didn't made any of this, the litteracy rate was very low and all their weapons and products were to be manufactured in Europe, maybe you don't want to see the reality but thats your problem. Compared it to Japan, the Japanese quickly industrialized because the Japanese are a disciplined people, since 1853 they became like an Asian Germany and was the most industrialized Asian nation despite having 40 times lower population and territories than the ottomans, so no, the ottomans would never have industrialized but rather became a type of saudi arabia economy sitting on black gold and buying everything from the Europeans, with all this income they would not see the need of industrialized, maybe way much later, after a catastrophic defeat and at a very slow rate, just like in our timeline, studying the history and cultures of the nations can give us an idea how the develop. Its like someone saying in 1830s "If the ottomans westernize they will catch up the other Powers with all the ressources it has" well it didn't go that way, why would it be diffferent this time in a pathetic scenario that imagines it would? Great Video, here's somethings I wanted to point out:
    The young turks are widely regarded as a failure because of their policies towards Arabs and non turks. basically, the empire was mainly headed by a form of islamism that sought to unite the islamic peoples, with the caliph being the source. However as the Young Turks took over they saw the Ottoman Empire as a tool that they could use for turkificiation and even pan turkism.
    A perfect scenario for the ottoman empire for me would be remaining neutral in ww1, then as Mehmet V dies, Mehmet VI taking power, he would expel the young turks, as he had many islamist ideals shared by the last caliph before the young turks, Abdulhamid. With Mehmet VI on the throne he would continue to adopt the western and liberal policies of the young turks while at the same time upholding islamism to keep groups like the Kurds, Arabs, and others under control. Minorities like jews, Arab christians, Greeks, Armenians would be kept safe under his doctrine of islamism.

    • @Fordragon
      @Fordragon 4 роки тому +1

      @jhon carry Iran wasn't in The Persian Gulf War, you're thinking of the Iran Iraq War. The US was expected to struggle because Iraq had a large modern military, one of the most powerful in the world, but the US rolled over them due mostly to their inferior military doctrine (they follow a hierarchical model with a lack of focus on maneuver warfare and mission command).

    • @Fordragon
      @Fordragon 4 роки тому +1

      @jhon carry because western militaries are not nation builders. They are designed to crush military forces, not "win hearts and minds" by teaching villagers how to purify water, and they do that job very well as evidenced by the quick destruction of the Iraqi military. Converting angry civilians to western ideology is not something that they are trained or equipped to do, and that's what would have had to happen to "win in Iraq." Lollipops and high fives were never going to cut it, especially since western warfare entails dropping bombs, so killing the one insurgent also kills his two brothers, ultimately just making more insurgents. The only other way to "win" would be to destroy the entire country, killing 75%+ of the populace, which America could do easily enough, but then you're evil, the world hates you, and it becomes World War 3 - America versus every other country.
      Different countries have different names for wars. This is very normal. In the US, that war is called the First Persian Gulf War.

    I use to think like you to, until I done my own research. As I’m a very curious person who likes to research world history.
    There was a lot of casualties on both sides in Anatolia in 1915 during World War One. It was a civil war which the Armenians started and the Armenians lost. Do your research please.
    The Ottoman Empire was busy fighting the Allies which includes England, Australia, India, Canada, New Zealand, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, France and French colonies and also supported by Russia in Gallipoli.
    The Ottoman Empire was also fighting the Russians in the northeast part of the Empire known as the Caucasus, and the Greeks in the southern part of Turkey, whilst the Armenians cowardly attacked old men, women and children in Anatolia, which resulted in a civil war which the Armenians lost.
    Please do your research. Thank you.
    It’s about time people did some research and thinking for themselves instead of just accepting what is thrown their way and merely believing what is "popular".
    The Turkish government invited the Armenian government less then 20 years ago in public to produce all documents, archives and others along with historians and lawyers. That both governments have and open them up for scrutiny, the Armenians remained silent and didn’t accept the offer.
    From the book - "Armenian Genocide" (And if they had lied to us) Reflections on the Turkish-Armenian tragedy by Yves Bénard.
    "(When WW1 erupted) All the Turks were drafted. Only the elderly, the women and children, remained in towns and villages. The Armenian militias had been waiting for this moment to implement their extermination plan aiming to obtain the "Great Armenia". Driven by a murderous frenzy, they indulged in barbarous acts of indescribable cruelty, over 500,000 victims were raped, disembowelled, crucified, slaughtered, mutilated, burned or buried, and the villages burned."
    “The relocation of the Armenian gangs and their supporters, who massacred the Muslim people, including women and children, in eastern Anatolia, was the most reasonable action that could be taken in such a period.
    The doors of our archives are wide open to all seeking the truth.”
    In regards to the so called “Death Marches” historians allude that Russia and The Ottoman Empire was on the brink of war in that region of Anatolia during World War One, therefore the civilian population of that region mostly Armenians/Kurdish/Turkish were relocated to the Levant for their own safety.
    Furthermore The Ottoman Empire ruled with justice and equality to all faiths within its borders, even so much as helping other nations. A few honorable mentions helping the Irish during The Great Famine of 1845 to 1852.
    The Ottoman Empire sent the Irish $$$,$$$ and ships full of plant seeds and food. They especially sent different types of plant seeds so they can grow their own fresh produce for many generations to come. And therefore it’s an ongoing charity till this day. Because the fruit and vegetables are still producing and growing in Ireland 170 years after the seeds were planted in the earth.
    “The Irish did not forget this favor and put a crescent and star symbol on the emblem of the city and Drogheda Football Club in 1919.”
    Another football club located in England's southeast Portsmouth Football Club has the Islamic Star and Crescent on their logo as a sign of respect and gratitude to the generous Ottoman Empire. Even today, a school run by the Royal Navy is called H.M.S Sultan.
    “Sultan Abdülmecid sent naval officers to Britain, once the world's most powerful marine power, for navigation and artillery training. Two frigates, the Mir'at-ı Zafer (The Mirror of Victory) and Çerağ-ı Bahri (The Light of the Sea) anchored in Portsmouth Harbor.”
    Also in another part of Europe. “The Deportivo football club, a city on the Spain-Portuguese border, also has an emblem with a crescent and star. Mentioned as "The Turks" by its rivals, Deportivo La Coruna opens a Turkish flag in its matches. According to an account, the youth of Galicia, famous for their bravery, supported Ottoman Admiral Barbarossa Hayreddin Pasha during the struggle against the Portuguese.”
    As way of keeping the peace on the European continent. The Ottoman Empire helped stop the invasion of Protestant England in 1570, from mainly Catholic Spain and The Netherlands.
    “The Pope excommunicated Elizabeth I of England and the might of Catholic Europe was against her, an invasion was imminent. English merchants were boycotted from trading with the rich markets of Europe. Elizabeth I of England responded by reaching out to The Ottoman Empire for help.”
    Stability and security in the Balkans, Caucasus, North Africa and the Middle East was never again the same after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. That’s a fact.
    “Turkey supports 170 countries with development aid.”

Jewish home in Kenya was proposed in the 1890's but was rejected by most of the Zionists because Kenya doesn't have the historical, cultural and religious importance to jews like israel does. By 1914 - the year when the timeline diverges, there were already a lot of jewish settlers in Palastine / Israel and they had some autonomy within the ottoman empire. In your timeline israel will not be an independent state but more like a semi- autonomous region within the empire.
    Other than that, a great video! Keep on producing cool content!

      Do you think that sort of thing would be better than today's israel-palestine conflict?
      Also in my knowledge, way before WW1, Theodor Herzl wanted to establish a Jewish state in the Palestine/Israel region. At that time, however, it was being controlled by the Ottomans. When Herzl wanted to establish his dream, he had to talk to the Ottoman Caliph, but the Caliph refused this and didn't allow Jews to establish a state in today's Palestine/Israel. In my knowledge, he allowed Jews to live in the Empire however.
      On a side note, I think if Jews was given a state at that time, and migrated to there fast, the Jewish Holocaust maybe wouldn't even take a place, since the Jews wouldn't be in Europe. However, they would potentially be in conflict with the Arabs, because Arabs wouldn't want to give the land to the Jews. But maybe Ottomans would try to compromise with the both sides, and would successfully establish a semi-autonomous region, or maybe a one state solution. But maybe they wouldn't succeed, and a similar conflict like today's Palestine-Israel would stay take place, and maybe in the future, potentially give European forces like British to enter the zone, and clash with the Ottomans to disband them.

    According to General Yigal Allon(of the Israeli Army) in his book "Shield Of David" during WW1 the Turks offered to create a Jewish homeland in order to get Jewish support. Ok that was under wartime pressure but even so it shows the possibility for some kind of homeland, maybe like Red Indian reservations in the USA.

    Thank god, this channel actually has some credibility to it. I cannot comprehend the amount of times I've been told that if the Germans just "took Moscow" they'd just win the war ez pz. If the Germans couldn't take Leningrad or Stalingrad, why would they have been able to take the literal capital of the USSR? Their armored units were at HALF strength by the time they attacked Moscow.

      Even if they had the Russians would've kept fighting. The idea that a nation of thwt size. Surrendering just because you took the capital is ridiculous. The Russians still had massive strategic depth Moscow or no Moscow.

    One point I'd like to contest is the alphabet change not occurring. Atatürk's education minister at the time of the alphabet change had been a major proponent of the idea years before the First World War, because he saw it as a necessary step for increasing the then-abysmal literacy rates rapidly enough not to hinder a broader education reform, and had turned down the offer to serve as the Ottoman minister of education because the PM of the time had told him they couldn't switch to the Latin alphabet yet.
